Red, white and blue, oh how I love you. Hats off to our all American blend of pomegranates, coconuts, blueberries and yummy rooibos. No caffeine so you can lull yourself to sleep with the ocean waves.
Taster’s Review:
This is a really pretty blend. There are lots of blue and red petals, and along with the white coconut shavings, this blend has a very patriotic look. It smells yummy too! Fruity and sweet, with a delicious fragrance of coconut in the foreground. It’s enough to make my mouth water!
When brewed, the aroma softens a bit, but I can still smell the blueberries and the coconut. The pomegranate scent is a little less apparent, but fortunately, it isn’t so indistinguishable in the flavor!
This tastes really good. The rooibos flavor is not particularly strong, and that’s the way I prefer it. The coconut is the strongest flavor, and I can feel the silky, somewhat oily texture of the coconut wash over my palate. It tastes sweet and creamy and very smooth.
The blueberries and pomegranate are almost of equal strength in this cup, with the blueberry edging out the pomegranate only slightly. The flavor is sweet with a hint of tartness – tartness that I suspect is further softened by the presence of the coconut.
This is an awesome, caffeine-free dessert tisane that can be enjoyed any time of the day or night. This would also be great to help curb those late-night sweet cravings!

Taster’s Review:
I have to agree with WhiteAugust Tea’s assessment – this tea is definitely stunning! It is incredibly smooth and rich and oh-so-good!
The aroma of the brewed tea is pleasant with hints of honey and spice as well as a deep earthy quality. There is also a hint of fruit and freshly baked bread within its fragrance. It’s one of those warm, comforting scents that begs to be tasted.
The flavor is incredibly rewarding. It is a complex tea, with layers of sweetness that reflect tones of both caramel and honey. There is a raisin-y sweetness to it too. A very pleasant malty tone to this tea. There are layers of earth, spice and smoke, as well as a woodsy taste. All of these flavors meld into a warm, smooth taste (I get no bitterness from this cup at all), finishing with a light, drying astringency and imparting a wine-like aftertaste that is sweet with notes of fruit with a whisper of smoke. A very pleasurable tea experience, this Golden Monkey.
Because of the warmth of this tea (almost what I would call an autumnal tea), I prefer it served hot. It has a very agreeable level of sweetness to it, so I suggest tasting it before you sweeten it – you may find that it is plenty sweet without the addition.
Another tea LOVE from WhiteAugust Tea!
