Taster’s Review:
A tea dedicated to the X-Files?? How great is that!?!
This tea is a lovely green tea with vanilla, orange peels, lemon and orange flavors along with sunflower petals. I nice seemingly calm yet citrus blend. I was actually surprised when I read the description of the tea. I figured a tea dedicated to the X-Files would be more dark or even darker flavors like mocha or hazelnut. But I’m not complaining. This tea sounds fabulous to me. Maybe the green tea represents little green men 🙂
Prepped up my water for this green lovely tea and waited for the tea to steep (about 4 minutes) all the while I enjoyed the lovely dry leave notes from the tin I had received. The notes are fresh citrus notes that scream summertime.
Finally my tea was ready to try and I poured myself a huge cuppa. The first notes I noticed was a lovely vegetal one with a touch of sweetness. Then the gorgeous wave of citrus swept thru. Not a complex tea by any means but one that has a fantastic finish with the vegetal green flavors, the sweet creamy notes of the vanilla and the citrus finish. Each flavor plays nicely with each other and doesn’t dominate by any means. Having that vegetal green tea being the first note you get really elevates the tea. I can almost pick up a hint of an orange dreamsicle. Really lovely.
I wanted to try this tea as an iced tea, hoping that I could pull out of those citrus and vanilla notes. As an iced tea, the vegetal notes are more subtle and the vanilla notes really pop. I think if I make a cold brew out of this, I will get that orange dreamsicle flavor that would be amazing for these summer months.
Overall, loving this tea. Classic tea combo that the majority of people would enjoy. A great starter tea for those who are just getting into tea but also a delicious simple tea for tea enthusiasts. This is a combo that I’ve had a few different times over but have had mixed results. Some have too strong of a vanilla flavor, others not enough citrus. This is a great well blended version!

Taster’s Review:
When you think of Sugar Plum Fairies, you instantly think of Christmas time, but I have to say, this tea is marvelous for any time of the year!
This gorgeous herbal tea is a mixture of green rooibos, cloves, rosehips, hibiscus, blackberry leaf, mallow blossoms, vanilla, raspberry pieces, and natural flavorings. A unique blend of ingredients for sure. I took one whiff of the dry mix and I wasn’t sure this would be a tea I would enjoy. The clove was a bit on the overpowering side but this is Simpson & Vail, I have to try all of their teas!
Brewed this up like a herbal with fresh boiled water and allowed to steep for about 5 minutes. The tea had a lovely gorgeous red color that made me just smile. I allowed the tea to cool for a few moments and took a sip. After taking my first sip, I promptly put my feet up and grabbed the book I was reading. This tea is one of those soothing teas that just make you feel warm and loved. The green rooibos provides a lovely honey base that the other flavors can bounce off of while the clove provides a warming sensation and a kick of spice, the hibiscus delivers a slight tart flavor while the vanilla bean leads itself to the sweetness that the ingredient is known for. All of that from the first sip. Really well done tea and one that does not disappoint.
I loved this tea so much that I thought the tea needed to be an iced tea. So I brewed the tea up stronger than I normally would and then poured the hot tea over iced and added in a few orange wedges and limes into my mason jar glass. Thru a straw in it and I was set with a gorgeous looking brew. The taste was still as good if not better than when I had it hot. The flavors seemed to be deeper giving a lovely almost punch like flavor.
If you are looking for a lovely herbal tea to share during the upcoming summer months, I encourage you to check this one out. I’ll be serving it for sure! Perfect for any tea parities as well!

Taster’s Review:
Can you say Vanilla love? This tea has such a natural vanilla sweet aroma to the dry leaf mixture. The mixture reminded me of one of those high end vanilla candles. Such a creamy natural vanilla fragrance.
I brewed this up with the help of my Breville One Touch on the black setting-medium steeping time. (212F-2min) I poured myself a cuppa and sat down to enjoy this treat.
And what a treat this is! I am in love with the rich vanilla notes backed up with this delicious smooth malty black tea that just creates a delicious cuppa. This is a fancy breakfast tea indeed! The vanilla brings the breakfast tea blend a nice natural sweetness with no chemical or fake aftertaste that I sometimes get from other vanilla flavored teas. The black tea background has just such a wonderful malty goodness that I adore.
Fancy Breakfast Blend is a great treat to start your day off or even give you a kick during those afternoon slumps. Full Leaf Tea Co brought their “tea” game again! Nice job Matt & the rest of the gang at Full Leaf Tea Co.!

Taster’s Review:
One of my favorite tea shops right now is Astrolo Tea, a different kind of tea shop. This tea shop not only has an amazing selection of teas, but they are handcrafted and made with care and attention like you can’t believe! The owner is 100% dedicated to her product and her customers. Not only is she an amazing tea creator, she is an astrologer as well! So talented.
But on to this tea. This tea is a unique blend of Assam, heather flowers and vanilla-all organic. There is a beautiful sweetness that envelopes you when you first take a whiff of the dry leaf mixture. I scooped out a serving and set up the Breville One Touch on a black setting. There are nicely laid out directions on the package.
Took a few moments for the tea to cool off and then took my first sip. Oh. . .My. . .Goodness!!! I am going to be re-ordering this one and soon. This is a gorgeous combination of black tea, sweet vanilla, and floral notes. I can’t ask for a better tea right now with my constant craving of floral teas. There is a nice full bodied feel to this tea and an ever so slight astringent background. I can’t drink this tea fast enough to satiate the craving it stirred up. So very good. I love how the floral and vanilla work so well together. Neither overpower the other and all the ingredients combine to create this gorgeous taste. Another very well done tea from Astrolo Tea!

Taster’s Review:
The Des Anges from Nina’s Paris is a nice simplistic tea with subtle flavors. I can appreciate the way this tea is not over done with flavorings. I can taste the black tea base, the strawberry, and the vanilla, and none seem to be fighting with another for focus. It is a pleasant cup of tea.
I am not quite sure that it is strong enough to hold up to creamer or sweetener but I think that it would give it a nice kick and jack it up a notch. It is rather a no fuss, simple, enjoy me as I am tea. That is not to take away from the blend, but if you are looking for an in your face flavor, this isn’t it. However if you often time flavored teas too flavorful and prefer a subtle hint of flavor to your tea, then this is bang on!
This tea also is not very sweet, which is nice, a lot of flavored teas are too sweet. This taste a lot more like some fresh strawberries had been infused in the tea with a splash of vanilla flavor. I do not find the vanilla to give the tea as much of a creamy flavor and the mouthfeel is very light as well.
Overall a nice change of pace in a flavored tea.
