Taster’s Review:
I LOVE Meyer Lemons! Regular lemons, I like them alright, but I don’t go crazy for them the way I do Meyer Lemons. When Meyer Lemons are in season, I buy them by the box, and then proceed to make everything from lemon bars to lemonade. They become my flavoring of choice while they’re in season: I put thin slices of Meyer Lemons on top of broccoli or asparagus before I steam them and I marinate chicken breasts in peppered Meyer Lemon juice before I broil them. I’ve even made Meyer Lemon curd. Yummy!
So, perhaps it goes without saying that when I find a Meyer Lemon flavored tea, I BUY! And that’s exactly what happened while I was browsing Teas Etc.’s website a couple of weeks ago (whilst looking for information about their Key Lime Coconut tea).
And this tea does not disappoint. Teas Etc. has managed to capture the essence of the Meyer Lemon very well. It is a very pleasing balance of tart and sweet, just like a Meyer Lemon. It tastes bright and sunny. Delicious!
The black tea base is a Nilgiri tea, which was a pleasant surprise! I was expecting a Ceylon. I really like how the Nilgiri stands up in this blend, not content to let the Meyer Lemon do all the work. The flavoring is not overdone and does not overwhelm the robust flavor of the Nilgiri.
This tea is wonderful served hot, but, it is a STUNNER as an iced tea. If you enjoy Meyer Lemons, you really have to try this tea! I love it!

Taster’s Review:
Not too long ago, I reviewed Key Lime Coconut from Teas Etc, and whilst browsing through their website to find more information about that tea, I ended up placing an order. This Earl Grey is one of the free samples that was sent to me with that order. I love it when tea companies send out samples! More tea!
I told you that because there is a little more to the story than just what I’ve told you. The fact is that there was a problem with the order I placed, and as a result, they sent me a box of three extra samples – separate from my order – to make up for it. I tell you this because I wanted to share with you that Teas Etc. not only has a vast array of teas from which to choose, but they have top-notch customer service too. I might try out a tea company because they have a tea that’s caught my attention, but I will continue to shop with that company if they provide excellent customer service. Teas Etc. won me over as a repeat customer.
Now… let’s talk a little bit about this Earl Grey, shall we? Because this just may be one of those teas that ends up on my next order! As most of you are probably well aware by now, I love Earl Grey. But the truth is, while I’ve found many good Earl Grey teas, there are but a handful of Earl Grey teas that stand out for me as exceptional. This is one of them.
The organic black tea base is a Nilgiri blend, which really makes a big difference. The teas produced in the Nilgiri District of India are among some of my favorite tasting black teas. They are bold, possess less astringency than some other black teas, and have a beautiful undertone of sweetness.
The bergamot here tastes fresh and tangy. There is a very agreeable balance to this bergamot, and I suspect that has something to do with the aforementioned Nilgiri tea base. It tastes smoother. It tastes richer. It tastes REALLY good.
If you’re a fan of Earl Grey, you really should try this. Add this Earl Grey to my top five list (which seems to be growing to a larger count than just five).

Taster’s Review:
Yum!
I haven’t had the opportunity to try very many of Teas Etc.’s blends, but I am glad that I got the opportunity to try this one. I just visited their website, and I couldn’t find this tea … perhaps it is sold out. I hope they haven’t discontinued it – because it is delicious!
The key lime flavor is well-defined in this blend … from the very first moment I opened the package I could smell the lime, and from the very first sip, I could taste the citrus-y tart lime flavor.
The coconut is also a strong flavor, although it is a little softer than the lime, but it does develop as I continue to sip. The first couple of sips … not so much coconut, but now, as I’m nearing the bottom of the cup, the coconut is almost as strong as the key lime. The coconut lends a sweet, creamy note to the cup and I love the contrast between the tangy flavor of lime and the sweet coconut.
The black tea is a mellow black tea, smooth and free of bitterness. Not a lot to really say about the black tea other than that, it isn’t a strong or aggressive black tea, but it isn’t overwhelmed by the flavors either. It seems content to let the key lime and coconut do most of the work.
I haven’t tried much from this company in a while, so I am glad I was able to try this tea. I just placed an order with them, so watch for a couple more teas to be reviewed in the near future!
