Where To Buy: Tea Oh
Product Description:
A flirty combination of pomegranate and vanilla.
Tasters Review:
Tea Oh is a fairly new Tea Company/Place you can buy tea online and is based out of Canada and I think they are just great!
Their Pomtini is a flavored black tea and is mostly Pomegranate flavored with a hint of vanilla on top of black tea. It’s very fruity, a tad bitter – but in a good and sassy way! These were my findings on my very first attempt with this tea.
The 2nd attempt with this tea I was getting more of an apple taste than Pom and Vanilla but it sure is tasty regardless!
This tea is not run-of-the-mill! The flavoring is a creative – well thought of combo and I think this is nice hot and cold/iced!
Warm Apple Pie from Tea Oh
Where To Buy: Tea Oh
Product Description:
A cozy, smooth black tea flavoured like warm apple pie.
Tasters Review:
Warm Apple Pie from Tea Oh is pleasantly scented and tastes like an apple flavored black tea. The ‘pie’ hints are more towards the end of the sip and in to the aftertaste. There is a slight crusty bitterness in the aftertaste which remind me of the crusty pie.
This is one of the better “pie” teas I have tried so far and is a nice offering from Tea Oh!
Cocoa Caramel Chai from Tea Oh!
Leaf Type: Black
Where to Buy: Tea Oh!
Company Description:
Superb spices blended with sweet caramel and rich chocolate.
Taster’s Review:
When I saw this chai blend on the Tea Oh! website, I knew I had to try it. I love spiced chai teas, I love chocolate, and I love caramel – so I needed to try this chai!
In chai tea, the spices can be very aggressive – aggressive enough to overpower the chocolate and caramel in a blend such as this. Fortunately, that doesn’t happen here. There is a very pleasing balance of flavors – the caramel is sweet and creamy, the chocolate is rich and smooth, and the masala spices are warm and inviting.
I can taste ginger, cinnamon and cardamom in this blend, however, they aren’t particularly spicy or hot… just warm enough to remind this taster that she’s drinking a chai tea. And yes… I can taste the tea too! The black tea base is strong enough to stand its ground with these other powerful flavors. It has a nice briskness to it.
I enjoyed this tea immensely and I’ve just consumed the last that I had! I might just have to put this one on my shopping list. It has a very comforting, autumnal feel to it… like one I’d like to curl up to while sitting in front of a roaring fire in the fireplace and reading a good book!
I do recommend going latte with this particular tea, and adding a splash of milk or cream (or half & half) to your cup. It really enhances the chocolate and caramel flavors and makes it taste just a bit like a gourmet hot chocolate! DELIGHTFUL!
Earls and Pearls from Tea Oh
Leaf Type: White
Where to Buy: Tea Oh
Company Description:
A classic Earl Grey white tea all dressed up with a rich, pearly cream finish.
Taster’s Review:
This is one of the more unusual Earl Grey teas that I’ve encountered, and not just because it’s made with a white tea base instead of the standard black tea base.
This tea has the most amazing creamy finish that is sweet and delicious and quite unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before. On Steepster, I compared the flavor to a creamsicle – you know those fantastic ice cream confections that are made with vanilla ice cream and orange sherbet? But, instead of the orange sherbet, imagine one being made with sherbet made of bergamot orange!
That comparison ALMOST describes this flavor, but not quite. The creamy flavor … I think is appropriately described by Tea Oh as “pearly” because it seems to taste almost regal – like something royalty would enjoy.
The flavor here is rich and delightful, and yet does not overwhelm the delicate white tea. It is a very interesting and unusual combination of flavors that I’m enjoying quite a bit. I do recommend just a little sweetener (I used raw agave nectar) because it really adds some definition to the creamy sweet notes that are just so delicious here.
I would recommend this tea to just about anyone – even those that dislike Earl Grey teas! The sweet, creamy finish offsets the bergamot in this blend enough so that even the most finicky Earl Grey detractors would probably find this enjoyable. This is really, really GOOD!
Strawberry Pickin’ from Tea Oh
Where To Buy: Tea Oh
Product Description:
Fruity, smooth green tea ripe with sweet strawberry pieces.
Tasters Review:
This smells AWESOME! Fresh Strawberries!!!!!!! All Summer I have been craving FRESH Strawberries…and let’s just say I was left wanting. It seemed every time I bought some they were not that great. When I smelled this tea it was EXACTLY the aroma of FRESH and juicy Strawberries!
The taste is basically 50/50 Green Tea/Strawberry and this is VERY nice!!! There is no funky aftertaste. The aroma lingers more than anything…makes me want to go pick strawberries! Hence, the name, I suppose? The Green Tea and Strawberry in this could not be more perfectly matched! This is a wonderful flavored green tea!
