Raspberry leaf comes in a round sachet. It smells just like banana, but this tea is made from raspberry leaf. Brewed up with boiled fresh water, this tea just still has a banana like aroma.
One sip and this tea tastes just like you are eating a fresh banana. I tried this tea on two different occasions. I still couldn’t taste any raspberry or any of the flavors that a few of the other Sisters got. . . . for me I could only taste banana.
I tried to enjoy this tea. I really did but unfortunately, raspberry leaf isn’t for me. I am not a fan of anything banana flavor. If you love banana, I would say this tea is for you!

RoRose Garden Puerh from . . Tocha Tea
Rose Garden Puerh Tea from Tocha Teas comes in breathable pouch. Through the pouch you see dark brown leaves, rose petals and a couple rose leaves. It smells similar to a black tea with a slight floral scent.
The taste is a lot similar to a black tea with a dark jammy flavor. There is also a slight spice kick, with an even slighter floral taste to finish each sip.
I really enjoyed this tea. I really enjoy black tea and this is the second floral like rose tea I have tried that I enjoy.
It is definitely nice and refreshing!

A Honeybush Cookie Dessert Tea. . . #52Teas
Being honest, i’m scared of molasses. I use it when i’m baking gingerbread, but I just refuse to eat it on its own. I don’t know how some people just pour it over their pancakes, I feel like it smells salty and weird and it really just freaks me out. So when I saw the name of this blend I totally held off on trying it. Although, the blend did smell like spice cookies….so I decided to give it a try anyways.
I could really smell the honeybush once this tea was steeped. I absolutely love honeybush and I actually tend to favor it over rooibos. I feel like it is so much sweeter and less woodsy tasting. Its a bit hard to describe but once you’ve tried it a few times, you’ll be able to point it out without even knowing that its in the tea. The sweet/honey/nutty flavor of the honeybush really blended well with the spices and cookie flavor in this tea. I can’t really speak on how accurate the molasses flavor in here is because I’ve never actually tasted molasses on its own, only in cookies or gingerbread.
I do know, however, that the flavor of honeybush was very strong here, and the spices and cookie/vanilla flavor (and the molasses) was very much in the background. That’s not to say that this wasn’t still enjoyable, because it was. I just think that the honeybush was the most dominant flavor here. I added a little agave, and then a little more, and I definitely think that that helped bring out the cookie flavor and spices flavor a bit.
Either way, if you like honeybush I think that you would find it difficult to not enjoy this blend. I do wish the spice cookie flavor was a little stronger but this was still a yummy blend.

Tricera-Tips Assam from Tea Historic. . . . .
I LOVE DINOSAURS! Seriously, I am obsessed! Land Before Time, Jurassic Park, Dinosaur…doesn’t matter…if it has dinosaurs in it, I am likely to read it, watch it, listen to it, etc. Between dinosaurs and Chris Pratt, I think Jurassic World might have been the highlight of my 2015. I blame my generation…actually my sibling’s generation and their influence on me. Some people had vampires, some people had zombies, and some people had dinosaurs. I fit into all those groups actually but dinosaurs have a special place in my heart.
So, now that I established my love of dinosaurs, and I would hope my love of tea is also pretty apparent, let’s talk about Tea-Historic, an awesome company that combines two awesome things. A site that specializes in mostly black teas with wonderfully dinosaur-inspired names.
Today Tricera-Tips Assam is what fills my mug, an Indian Assam tea mixed with cacao husks. Trust me, you will for sure know the cacao is there because this is one chocolatey tea. A little too much for my tastes, though I am not the biggest fan of cacao husks as I find they create a more earthy/dusty chocolate flavor. Underneath the cacao is the assam base, which contributes a whole lotta honey but there is also an underlying briskness and astringency that I don’t love. In fairness, this tea cooled a bit before I got to it so the astringency might just be a reflection of that.
A little while back I tried the Yunnan Tricera-Tips tea and if I am being honest, of the two, I think that is the one I preferred. Though this is still tasty, the Yunnan version, in my opinion, is smoother and with less cacao. I suppose ultimately that could be good or bad depending on what you’re looking for in a tea.

Great Gatsby from First Edition Tea Co. #greatgatsby #tea
So this may be an unpopular opinion but I actually hated The Great Gatsby. I read it. I analyzed it. I studied it. I get it. Doesn’t mean I need to like it. I found it boring and after reading it a few times and not enjoying it anymore than I had previously, I think it is safe to say that I am not a fan. Even the movie didn’t appeal to me, except for the soundtrack which was pretty amazing but I digress.
Now that I have that out of the way, I can focus on this tea, which smells amazing by the way. Lemon and lavender, such a crisp and fresh smell that is also incredibly soothing. It’s so calming, I could just doze off to sleep (so it has that in common with the book :P). Seriously, I could sniff this all day. I would scent my house with this. Okay, I will stop with my raving about this awesome smell and move on to the taste.
I was worried this would get burnt because it is a green tea base but the recommended steeping is 100C for 4 minutes. I couldn’t bring myself to do that so I steeped it for 3 min at about 96C. This is a robust green base though because it stood up to the heat. Just like the smell, this is an incredibly clean tasting tea. The lemon is crisp but not bitter and it manages to border on the line of lemon pledge without tipping over to the dark (chemical) side. Normally not a fan of lavender, I will say it really works here. It provides more depth to this tea and helps to round everything out. It actually creates a nice bridge between the more robust green base and the softer lemon notes. This tea is like spring in a cup and like the Gatsby lifestyle, it is decadent and elegant while boasting a more humble flavor profile.
I did not expect to like this in the least but it is proving to be quite the delight. I will be passing this on for my other sisters to try but I would actually considering keeping this one stocked for a bit. Just need to get my hands on some more
