I know Anne already reviewed this one about 2 weeks ago but I figured since the timing is right – being the holidays and all – and because this exceeded my expectations – I thought I would write about it as well!

Holiday Fruit & Spice Blend from Mark T. Wendell is better than I thought it would be!   Sure, it smells just like you assume it would but this is a tasty flavored black tea…juicy cran and the spices are just-right!  The draw for me on this one – is that the spices seemed to have been Taylor-made just for me!  Okay…maybe not…JUST FOR ME…but the spice is done nicely and not over the top and the cranberry flavors are exceptional!

I thought it was the perfect time to say THANKS AGAIN to Rachana Carter for sending me some of this specific Signature Blend of hers that she blended over at Adagio.

I found the more I drank this one…the more I enjoyed it!  And now I am out of my stash!  All good things really do come to an end, don’t they!?  Anyhow…here are some of my findings…

The aroma is very light but warming.  What I can smell of it is the Chestnut and a tad of caramel.  I’m not smelling much cinnamon – but I’m fine with that…as I think many teas tend to over-do it with the cinnamon.  This was a great happy-medium with black tea, spices, and other flavors.

It infuses to a pretty dark brown.

I really like the fact that the Black Tea taste is upfront and the flavors are on the assist.   The flavors play nice together.   They circle around in your mouth nicely, too.   I can taste the Chestnut and Caramel pretty much equally and the cinnamon acts as the caboose.

I like it! The cinnamon is JUST RIGHT…it’s really all you need.

A little spice is OH SO NICE this time of year!  This one had me grinning from Ear-To-Ear!

SororiTEA Sisters wish you Holiday Cheer!

Herbal Lush Chamomile from TeaScapes

Tea Type: Herbal

Where To Buy: TeaScapes

Product Description:

Herbal Lush tea consists of a bright blend of delicate chamomile and spicy cinnamon with bits of strawberry and rose petals. The brewed tea produces a relaxing combination that has a mild fruity spark. It is a great evening tea to aid with relaxation and end the day with a smile.

Tasters Review:

Over the past week or two I have been REALLY pushing the envelop – I have been purposely forcing myself to taste teas that I usually don’t go for.  Many of them have had Chamomile and/or Hibiscus.

I’m not too fond of Chamomile unless the other ingredients impress me!  With this specific herbal from TeaScapes – the name and the look of the ingredients blended together is what interested me.  It just seemed different.  I had also been very pleased with the other TeaScapes Teas I have tried lately so I thought this one would give me something to write about either way!

The little bit of cinnamon that is coming thru is a nice touch and helps calm down the intense chamomile.  Sure, the chamomile is still present but not as much as I thought it would be.  The strawberry notes are barely there and I would LOVE to taste a little bit more but understand their reasoning for this…it’s not supposed to be about the strawberry!   The rose somewhat works hand-in-hand with the chamomile to bring that floral bouquet type taste.

This is a nice twist on Chamomile and for that I do enjoy this herbal from TeaScapes!

It’s not my preference in flavor combos but a good calming and floral mix that certainly surprised me! This is pretty good, indeed!

Tasters Review:

Organic Holiday Spice Black Tea from Arbor Teas smells wonderful!  Black Tea, Orange, and Spice! ALL VERY NICE!

The taste is great!  The orange is more prominent than the other flavors which I LOVE.   The Black Tea and the spices are about equal in strength and they are perfect together!

Even with the spices this has a lovely smoothness to it which surprised yet delighted me!

I REALLY enjoy this tea from Arbor Teas…maybe a little TOO MUCH. This one made it in my upper 90 percentile!  YUM!

Sands of Thyme
(Yup!  Check out BOTH Shops!)

Product Description:

Ingredients: black tea, cinnamon, ginger bits, cardamom, cloves, flavoring, black pepper, rose blossom leaves, vanilla bits, safflowers

Tasters Review:

I have been seeing SANDS OF THYME mentioned online by a few fellow tea freaks lately so when we were able to try some of the Sands of Thyme Teas I was more than happy!

I LOVE their shop name on Etsy!  I just have to point that out!

So far one of my favorites is their Chai Indienne.

It’s light on aroma but not on taste!   The spices are JUST RIGHT for me!  The cinnamon is a little bit stronger than the ginger.  The cardamom and cloves are in there too – as well as the black pepper.  I appreciate these specific ingredients not being too strong.   I can taste floral notes as well!  The rose petals are a nice touch.  The vanilla is noticeable in the middle of the sip and more-so as it cools.  I applaud the vanilla in this case – it helps with the other spicy spices and really added to the mix of flavors!

This is a good chai, indeed!
