Taster’s Review:
Whenever I come across a tisane with chamomile, I sort of cringe. And that’s just what I did with this Serenity Herbal Tisane from Sanctuary T.
It’s not that I dislike chamomile, because, I’ve come across many a blend with chamomile in it that I’ve really enjoyed. I’ve even had pure chamomile and enjoyed it. I think the problem stems from encountering in my “pre-loose leaf” days too many chamomile tisanes that were stuffed into teabags, comprised of crushed chamomile that ended up tasting so … off. Those memories continue to plague me.
But that just isn’t fair to this tisane, because this is really so good. And the chamomile is really so … barely there. I taste it, of course, but the flavor melds with the crisp flavor of peppermint, the sweet notes of lavender, the exotic flavor of jasmine blossoms, and the buttery, citrus-y notes of lemongrass. I like how each of these flavors are represented in my cup, but, not one really emerges as an overpowering flavor. Everything is nicely balanced.
It tastes lightly minty … not mouthwash-y. The citrus tones are mostly present in the aftertaste. The jasmine and lavender taste sweet and floral without tasting perfume-ish. And the chamomile adds to that floral tone, and adds a light fruitiness to the cup that accents the citrus notes quite nicely. This is a tisane that I could drink again and again!

Tasters Review:
Well, I know I am ready for Spring! Are you!? It’s been an overly trying winter across the United States. I have always lived in a snow belt area but this year has been the worst I have see in a long time. The worst part is…I HATE WINTER…I’ve always hated winter…I HATE snow…I will ALWAYS hate snow!
So – needless to say – I can’t wait for Spring! I can’t wait for nice weather! I can’t wait to see the blooming of flowers, the sun beating down, green grass, and wildlife again!
In the meantime this tea helps.
Spring Harvest from Sanctuary T is a Fruity Green and White Tea Blend. Mostly Green tho and I am ok with that. The green tea is almost buttery and quite smooth going down. It’s slightly tropical minus the stereotypical coconut tropical flavor. I suppose that would be one way of describing it anyways.
Yes! This sure helps me THINK SPRING!!!!
Tea has saved the day again! Here’s to SPRING! CHEERS!!!!

Tasters Review:
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again! I LOVE apricots! Ever since I was a toddler! Yes, I was a weird kid…my favorite foods were dried apricots, lima beans, and fresh sprouts.
I actually bought some dried apricots the other day at the herb store, too!
I think almonds go well with Rooibos!
This smells incredible…both of apricot and almonds! When I saw that there were HUGE WHOLE Almonds I was VERY impressed!
This infuses a little darker than most Rooibos(es)…I’m excited about that as well! Plus…there is a hint of floral aroma coming thru too!
Just when I think I can taste more almond than apricot – I then taste more apricot than almond. They seem to flip-flop as I continue to sip!
This is a great tasting FUN flavored Rooibos! It’s Juicy, Sweet, and Slightly floral. What a LOVELY group of flavors! This exceeded my expectations!
Autumn Melody from Sanctuary T
Where To Buy: Sanctuary T
Product Description:
Feel golden even on a cold and rainy day with this week’s Autumn Melody, a blend of ginger, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg and black assam tea leaves!
Tasters Review:
When I saw the dry mix and the list of ingredients the first thought I had was…that’s a whole-lotta-cardamom!
BUT…I still tried it! I’m a tough cookie!
One thing I will say…I’m glad this didn’t have cinnamon in it!
The aroma isn’t very intense…mostly nutmeg and black tea and I was OK with that!
The color is a nice medium brown.
The Cardamom and Cloves are just about neck and neck taste-wise and the nutmeg is LOVELY! For me…I think this NOT having Cinnamon and the fact the nutmeg really shined thru is what I LOVED about it!
This one surprised me and in a good way! The Nutmeg was perfect for this! I was very glad I could taste it with the rest of the ingredients that were present! The Cardamom wasn’t overpowering – which was a surprise – too – based on the amount my eyes saw in the dry blend! I’m not complaining – this is just an observation…I ended up REALLY liking this Autumn Melody from Sanctuary T!
White Tea Brownies from Sanctuary T
Where to Buy: Sanctuary T
Company Description:
If you are in need of a chocolate fix that complements your nice cup of tea, snatch a bag of these decadent, tea-inspired brownies. Loaded with white tea, valhrona chocolate, and bits of walnuts, these brownies are a rich complement to a cup of tea. Each package comes with 3 large, rich brownies!
Taster’s Review:
I have a confession to make. I am currently working on my second order of these brownies. I had only planned on ordering one order of them – just to try them – because, even though I thought they’d be good, I figured they couldn’t be as good as my fresh, made from scratch, home-baked brownies.
WRONG! These brownies easily blow my brownies out of the water. In fact, they are the best brownies I’ve ever eaten in my life! And, once upon a time, I worked for a famous cookie/brownie vendor in the mall, back when that vendor still made the cookie and brownie batches fresh instead of from frozen dough. These brownies are even better than those!
So… needless to say, once my package was empty, I ordered another one, PRONTO!
The flavor is rich and fudge-y and make the perfect tea-time snack. Maybe not for “High Tea”… because these brownieshave an ooey-gooey factor to them. It came as a bit of a surprise the first time I tried them. I mean, you kind of expect that you’ll be licking chocolate off your fingers with a home-baked brownie, but not something you bought off the internet. With these brownies, prepare for chocolate-y fingertips!
That being said, these brownies are a better “alone tea time” treat. Pour yourself a cup of tea (I really recommend Carnival Tea with these brownies) and devour!
The brownies are filled with chocolate chips, walnuts and I think I may have even encountered a bit of caramel in my first batch. In this batch, I haven’t found any caramel yet, BUT… I can taste the white tea a bit better in this batch than in the first.
Yes, it’s true, the white tea does get a little lost in this explosion of chocolate flavor. That being said, it is doubtful that someone would actually miss the tea after tasting these decadent delights. In the first batch, I could tell there was something else there… but it wasn’t a distinct white tea taste. With this batch, though, I can definitely taste white tea.
