Taster’s Review:

My confession is that I did not think I was going to like this tea. I am surprised to say that I do like it.

In my opinion this would be the ultimate in Valentine’s Day teas. Keep this in mind as Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it! I could see this being served for a traditional English Tea with tea sandwiches, and cakes. So yummy!

It is a bit on the perfume-y side, the bergamot is strong but it quickly changes into a sweet, floral, creamy, and fruity flavor.

Now according to the ingredients there are no fruits in this blend, however the combinations of the ingredients somehow comes across to me as fruity. Yes the rose does take its time in the limelight, but the fruit notes come over almost as strawberry somehow. Yet in other sips I taste something of lime or citrus.

The mouthfeel is heavier than I would have suspected but not too heavy, just full with a creamy finish that remains bright.

It is a really pretty tea as well.

I am impressed. I really feel that Fusion Teas got this one right. It may not be what the true Earl Grey lover is looking for but if you keep an open mind you will enjoy it. I like regular Earl Grey but I have to be in the mood for it. This is an Earl Grey that I could drink just about anytime. I also think that younger people would love it because of its sweet, creamy, and fruity like flavor.

Now I suppose I could see an argument for this tea having a different name. Just because something is flavored with Bergamot does not mean it has to be called Earl Grey. Earl Grey does not have the entire market cornered on Bergamot after all. Also this is clearly not a black tea.

Call it whatever you want Fusion Teas, I like it!

Taster’s Review:

Totally unexpected delight. First of all the aroma of this tea is of warm vanilla sugar and berries. The smell was so warm, so inviting, so sweet, and so natural smelling. It really reminded me of the caramelized sugar on top of a creme brulee with wild berry glaze on the side.

The very fist sip was that of raspberry but it quickly faded into a warm sugared apricot flavor but not a sticky sweet sugar, rather a very natural sugar flavor.

This tea is JUICY! It makes your mouth water and the flavors are really quite wonderful! I could not detect any artificial flavors even if they are used and I am pretty sensitive to artificial flavorings.

Finally, an apricot I can fully appreciate, as I have had issues with finding an apricot tea I like recently. I like the sweet raspberry – not tart, which really helps to mellow the usually more pungent earthy apricot and while I do like earthy teas, apricot and I do not normally get along.

This is an inconspicuous tea, it does not force you to take notice, rather allows you to simply meld into its splendor! I found that none of the flavors fought one another for attention. While vanilla was not mentioned in the name or ingredients of this tea I swear I could taste a hint of natural vanilla!

There were actual pieces of fruit in the blend just as stated on the site!.

No sugar is needed to add to this tea its really quite perfectly sweet and balanced all on its own and I can only imagine adding sugar would make it all the more decedent or dipping some sugar cookies into it but I have had my allotment of cookies for today lol.

I loved the fresh tart apricot, the sharp but sweet raspberries, and the wonderful green tea base. A sweet, succulent tea that truly is a delight!

It does not hurt one bit either that Rachel of iHeartTeas is such a sweetie herself!

Taster’s Review:

While I would not call this the peachiest tea I have ever had, nor the most complex, it is one of those teas that is well suited for anyone from a person who has never had tea before to the most avid tea lover.

You can get about three solid infusions out of one teaspoon which is nice. The peach flavor is very natural and no cloying sweeteners are added. The rose petals and rose hips make a pretty presence in this tea and make it lovely to look at.

A nice base tea is good, and organically grown which is absolutely a plus in my book. Some information taken from the Teajo Teas website states:

“Our teas meet strict global residue standards and are organically grown without the use of harmful chemicals or pesticides. In addition, we make every attempt to recycle and reuse as much of our shipping materials as possible. We also ask that our customers join us in helping our environment by reusing or recycling the packaging materials that come with our teas.”

I like this statement!

No, this is not a knock it out of the park flavored tea but I tell you what, the past several days I have not felt up to par and a lot of my favorite teas have not been settling well with me. I kept finding myself reaching for just two teas during this time. This is one of them.

Its a solid peach flavored tea that is very natural in its flavoring and has just a tiny slightly bit of a floral flavor. No flavor is fighting with any other to grandstand, yet meld wonderfully into one easy and mellow blend.

This is for sure one of those teas to keep in your stash for company, for yourself, for people you want to introduce to a good tea, but not one that is terribly complex or overwhelming.

Its great iced, cold steeped, hot, straight, with sweetener, even some milk or cream could be added, its just a stand up quality tea.

I am calling it my “feel good” tea because when I am not up to par the last thing I feel like doing is studying flavor notes, aromas, and complexities in a tea. Granted I also don’t want something dull either. This tea from Teajo Tea was, and will in the future, be my go to cup for when I am feeling less than stellar. And you know what? I am feeling fine today and still enjoying a cup of this Juicy Peach tea from Teajo Teas!

Cherry Fiesta Tea from Sands of Thyme

Tea Type: Rooibos

Where To Buy: Sands of Thyme

Product Description:

Ingredients: rooibos, cherries, flavor, cinnamon, orange peels, ginger bits, cinnamon sticks, candied pineapple bits (pineapple, sugar), candied papaya bits (papaya, sugar), candied mango bits (mango, sugar), cardamom, star-anise, cloves, vanilla bits, rose petals

Tasters Review:

You know when you go to Folk Art Fairs and you smell dried fruits and spices in potpourri…that’s what this smells like! This is very nice and very home-E.

The ingredients go well with the Rooibos here.  I can first taste the cherries and cinnamon/stick as well as a hint of vanilla and sugar.  I can also pick up on subtle hints of pineapple, mango, and anise.  The after taste is sugary-fruity-sweet.

This is tasty!  There is a lot going on here but it’s a fun and interesting cuppa!

Signature Positiv-A-Tea Blend from Positiv-A-Tea

Tea Type: Herbal

Where To Buy: Positiv-A-Tea

Product Description:

100% Organic
Hand-Blended
USDA Approved
Naturally Decaffeinated

Ingredients:
Hibiscus, Lemon Balm, Rose Petals,
Orange Peel, Cinnamon, Lavender

Tasters Review:

I’m not going to lie…when I was finished infusing this the color of it frightened me!  I was also worried about the Hibiscus – many of you know my trials and tribulations with that ingredient…BUT…

This IS pretty pleasant! I’ve VERY shocked and surprised that the level of hibiscus is what it is!  As it cooled – I could taste more tartiness so I will drink this HOT!  If you are after the fruitier or tartier flavor you might like it cooler.   The Lemon Balm follows it as far as ingredients that pop out a little more than the others but the one that lingers is the Lavender and it’s a pretty lavender as well as a little chewy…if you can picture that!!   The rose and Orange are about equal in taste-intensity and that is subtle.

This is pretty and sassy and different all in one…I think it’s a neat blend and tastes alright!  If you are looking for a positive blend and something that is positively unique…give this one a whirl!
