Taster’s Review:
I received a sachet of this Acai Green Tea from Revolution Tea in my Love with Food Box in March! I always get excited when I receive a tea in one of my foodie tasting boxes … even if it is a sachet! And I’ve had pretty good luck with Revolution Tea’s sachets. One drawback though, it’s Acai Berry flavored … and I’ve not always had the best luck with Acai Berry.
It’s not terrible … but, I can’t say that this is my favorite tea that I’ve tried from Revolution Tea either. (I think my favorite would be the Tangerine White tea that I tasted when I went to PF Chang’s … at least, it was the most memorable tea I’ve tried from them!)
The overall flavor is delicate and sweet. There is a hint of bitterness from either the berry or the Sencha … but, it isn’t a distracting, off-putting bitterness, it actually contrasts in a very favorable way with the sweeter notes of the tea. And then there is the tart notes from the Acai Berry … and I’m glad to say that the tartness isn’t overpowering. It keeps in balance with the overall tone of the cup with its subtle approach.
It’s a gentle cup of tea – not quite as strongly flavored as I had anticipated, but, I like that. I like that I taste the sweet, grassy tones of the Japanese Sencha here, with hints of buttery notes in the background. The Acai Berry offers a compelling deviance to the brothy tea notes.
This one is nice as it cools too … I think I actually like it better cool than hot – making it a nice choice for iced tea.

Taster’s Review:
Ah! This Southern Mint Herbal Tea from Revolution Tea is so crisp and refreshing! It’s a great tisane to sip after a spicy meal, it helps calm the tummy!
The mint used in this tisane is an estate grown pure Egyptian peppermint. It has a very fresh and exhilarating taste … and even though it is very invigorating to drink, it is naturally caffeine free so it won’t overstimulate me before bedtime.
The taste is clean and pure. It freshens the mouth and leaves my mouth feeling refreshed and I can already feel it calm my stomach after eating spicy tacos! It’s a nice, natural way to freshen the palate while relaxing the tummy. This is the kind of tisane I like to keep on hand for times like this … and I also like to keep it on hand because my daughter loves peppermint tea and this one from Revolution tea is one of the better ones I’ve tried.

Taster’s Review:
This is a yummy tisane that is perfect for late night sipping … when you’re craving something sweet but you know that you shouldn’t indulge. Honeybush Caramel Tea from Revolution to the rescue!
By combining honeybush with rooibos, Revolution has created a mild, deliciously nutty background for this tea that provides a pleasant sweetness that melds really nicely with the caramel flavoring. I like the way the nutty notes and slightly fruity taste of these two herbs accent the caramel.
The caramel is sweet but it isn’t overdone. It doesn’t taste sickeningly sweet or cloying … at least, not to my sweet tooth. Someone who doesn’t usually enjoy sweet teas might find this a little much for them, but, if you like dessert teas, I think you’d really like this tisane.
Overall, I really enjoyed this cuppa … a really nice dessert tea that you can enjoy anytime of the day or night because it’s naturally caffeine-free!

Taster’s Review:
My first couple of sips of this tea, I was a little unsure. I was afraid that maybe I hadn’t steeped it long enough. It tasted very weak. But, after a few moments (I’d say around three minutes) of allowing the cup to cool, the flavors really began to emerge.
Generally speaking, I tend to be somewhat skeptical when it comes to non-black Earl Grey teas. There’s something about the unique flavor of bergamot that just goes so well with the flavor of black tea and it doesn’t seem to pair as well with green teas. But, I’m liking this. It has a pleasing citrus note that accents the sweet, fresh taste of the green tea.
There is a well-defined floral note as well, perhaps even more distinguished here with this Green Earl Grey than with a typical black Earl Grey. I don’t know if this is due to the fact that the green tea has a slight floral note of its own, or if the natural flowery notes of the bergamot are able to express themselves more freely with the lighter flavor of the green tea … or perhaps a combination of the two. Either way, it’s quite lovely, sweet and exotic, without tasting soapy.
This is definitely a different approach to Earl Grey. It is lighter and crisper, but with that familiar bergamot zing! I like it, although I can’t say that I prefer it over the classic Earl Grey. However, for times when I want something bright and zesty, this would certainly fill the bill.

Taster’s Review:
When it comes to English Breakfast blends, there are a few characteristics that I look for; qualities that I consider “standard” in an English Breakfast. Among these are a rich, even tone. I want it to be strong. I don’t want it bitter. I want it to be delicious enough to stand on its own with no additions, but able to take additions such as milk and sugar if I want that.
This English Breakfast blend from Revolution has those qualities I look for in an English Breakfast blend. It is really quite tasty, with a pleasing, honey-caramel sweetness to it, a touch of malt, and a richness that stands alone well, but also would remain flavorful if some milk were added for a latte.
This is actually one of the most flavorful bagged (sachet) English Breakfast blends that I’ve yet to encounter. It has a good amount of gusto to it – this promises to invigorate me this morning and that’s a good thing! – and it is pleasantly sweet and has that delicious, bake-y, chewy kind of flavor that makes breakfast blends so satisfying.
