Taster’s Review:
I do adore pomegranate, but, they are a bit pricy to enjoy on a regular basis. That’s why I often turn to pomegranate flavored teas, because it’s a way to enjoy the flavor of pomegranate without paying a premium price for a piece of fruit.
This Pomtini has a nice pomegranate flavor. Sweet and a little tart, just like the fruit. The vanilla is a nice addition, providing a sweet, creamy taste to offset some of the tartness of the pomegranate.
The black tea is a smooth, mellow black tea. It isn’t what I’d call a strong or bold tasting tea, it seems perfectly content to sit off in the background and let the flavors of the pomegranate and vanilla take center stage. It isn’t overwhelmed at all, but, it isn’t overly aggressive, either.
This tea is tasty hot or iced. If you do choose to serve it iced, I recommending adding just a pinch of sugar to help amplify the flavors a bit, as they do mute slightly as the tea cools. Just a pinch of sugar helps keep the flavor without making the tea too sweet.
A very pleasant tea – fruit and sweet creamy flavor with just the right amount of tart-y contrast. Nice.
