Taster’s Review:
It amazes me how different white tea can taste from tea company to tea company, even when dealing with the same type (White Peony or Bai Mu Dan) of white tea.
This White Peony from Frontier Co-Op possesses a surprisingly earthy scent that reminds me of a the smell of a damp, musty wood with hints of moss and earth.
The taste is fresh and sweet. It is a delicate flavor but it is one that develops as I make my way down the cup. At the start, I found it to be quite delicate but now as I am near the end of the cup, I’m finding it to be really flavorful. There are pleasant fruit-like flavors and a slight vegetative quality to the cup.
And like the scent suggests, there are also interesting woodsy tones to the flavor, as well as a slight earthy taste. It isn’t overwhelming and it adds to the intrigue of the cup.

Taster’s Review:
I’ve tasted quite a few White Peony teas over the years. And before I had developed a liking and an appreciative palate for White teas, I had falsely assumed that all White Peony teas are the same. But, they aren’t!
This is one of the best White Peony teas that I’ve ever encountered. The flavor is amazing! While most white teas tend to be on the delicate side, I am finding this white tea to be amazingly flavorful! While this is quite a bit more delicate than say, a black tea, it is extraordinarily flavorful when taking into consideration that this is a White Peony.
This tea is sweet and even has a creamy quality to it that is rather delightful. The mouthfeel is really soft and smooth. This texture reminds me of the sensation that a green Oolong might impart onto the palate, although it doesn’t linger quite as long as an Oolong. There is a fresh, crisp taste to the tea that is vaguely reminiscent of a crunchy green apple.
Truly among the finest White Peony Teas available anywhere, this is one that I highly recommend to any tea afficionado! Even for those tea lovers who think they do not care for white teas – I do believe that this one just might change your mind! It is a MUST TRY!

I think I acquired my LOVE of Coconut from my father because my mother and sister are NOT fans. Ah-well! MORE FOR ME (and Dad!)
When I saw this tea I was completely stoked!
My first thought was – I really HOPE it’s different than ‘just your average tasting tropical flavored tea’. LUCKY FOR ME…it completely exceeded my expectations!
The Dry Leaf Scent was Pure Coconut and it’s truly splendid and the Post Infusion Scent was both Coconut and Peony to the nose – Still a delight!
The color is a yellowish with light brown hue. The Taste consisted of YUMMY Coconut and CREAMY CREAMY CREAMY! There were some lovely floral notes thrown in as well.
This tea is wonderful. It’s VERY flavorful and much different than other tropical-type teas I have tried! This reached my 95 percentile of teas I have enjoyed!
