I have had a few of the SuperHerb teas sitting around to be tried but kept putting it off. If it’s good for me, it’s going to taste nasty, isn’t it? I want a lovely evening cuppa, not something medicinal that builds character! But it is time to take courage and go for it!
Nettle is traditionally used to combat inflammation and allergies. And pollen and dust allergies really are inflammation, in a way, aren’t they? I am plagued with allergies so much that I don’t really know what it is like to hear clearly or breathe without feeling stopped up. But can I stand nettle tea well enough to drink it often and hopefully put these allergies at bay?
I lift my cup to my lips. Wait, what’s this? This smells like….CAKE. Really. Bless their hearts, they have added vanilla and mint to nettle and pulled off a relaxing, soothing aroma that smells like vanilla cake. Vanilla is the strongest component of the aroma, and the taste is mint and nettle with a touch of vanilla. Mint does relax me, and vanilla is always a “feel good” flavor, so this is a good bedtime choice for me.
The aftertaste of this tea is very herbal but pleasant, with a mineral flavor mixed in, like the smell of water on stone in a forest. This is definitely on my “to buy” list now to see if it drinking it regularly will help with my allergies. And I will look forward to it without fear now!

Strawberry Orange Mint/Voće Tea
Out of all the teas I’ve had recently, I keep coming back to one: a very nice fruity/herbal tea with huge pieces of orange (for a tea at least!). I’m not typically a fan of fruity teas—strawberry is my one weird exception.
Voće’s Strawberry Orange Mint is just that. No additives or sweeteners, just orange and strawberry pieces with a little bit of spearmint. It’s simple and tastes really nice on its own. There’s no shortage of flavor and you don’t get the odd taste that sometimes comes from similar teas, which are often unnaturally sweet.
And while I’m still not sold on citrus forward teas, this one is enjoyable, especially over ice. It’s well-balanced and the stronger orange and spearmint flavors don’t cover up the lighter strawberry flavor. I still prefer my teas with a bit of bitterness and astringency, but this is definitely something I’d go for seconds of.

Winter Wonder Berry Tea/FarmHouse Teas from St Fiacres Farm
About a year ago or so, I took a solid look at my tea stash and realized I had way too many teas that I had been neglecting and cancelled all of my tea subscription plans. I adored the teas I was getting, but decided that I really needed to buckle down and drink what I already had. The only subscription I kept was Sipsby because, well for $15, you can’t really go wrong with their offerings no matter how much tea you have.
Fast forward to the present day and I’m happy to say, I’ve drank down a considerable amount of my tea stash and decided it was time to pick up one tea subscription plan. I have done Plum Deluxe, Blend Bee, 52Teas and a few others in the past, but I wanted to go a different route. Right about that same time when I was trying to see which one I wanted to go with, I received an email from the lovely people at St Fiacres Farm about their new FarmHouse Teas. I checked out the site and remembered that St Fiacres Farm offered a tea subscription plan. Each month you are sent one of their teas (1oz) and a few goodies. So far, I’m super impressed with what I’ve received but this blend I devoured in just a few sittings.
Winder Wonder Berry Tea is a blend of green rooibos (my favorite!), peppermint, spearmint, berries, and a few other inclusions. Besides this tea smelling amazing, the look of this tea is just wonderfully comforting.
I prepared this tea with with fresh boiled water and allowed to steep for 6 minutes, then allowed the tea to cool for about 3 minutes. Took my first sip and was in heaven. Fresh blueberries with mint and a honey background with notes of a sweet tartness probably coming from the vanilla extract and hibiscus. This tea has it all. It is refreshing, crisp, and down right amazing.
Green rooibos teas really don’t get much better than this and this is one tea that I’m going to need to get more of STAT. I can’t wait to try this tea as a cold brew if I can save some for the upcoming summer months.
And what where my treats to go along with this blend? Glad you asked. The most amazing toffee I’ve ever had. Ever heard of cashew almond toffee? Or do I just need to get out more? This treat was simply heaven and one that if I do place a larger order soon to get more of this tea, you bet there will be a few toffees thrown in to go along with my tea!

Tranquility from Beleave Teas
Raise your hand if it’s been a tense few months, you guys (not just me? phew, good). I’ve been especially mindful of self care this past week, which of course in my home means a good cuppa. When I saw this tea arrive from fellow sister Nichole (aka CuppaGeek) on a particularly long and icky day, I knew just what I’d be brewing up.
First things first: holy spearmint, batman.
And I’m not mad about it. This tea might be fairly mint-forward, but it’s beautifully balanced by creamy vanilla and herb-y chamomile. I won’t lie– while I was intrigued by much of the rest of the ingredient list (raspberry, papaya, passion flower, star anise, red cherry bark), I’m not picking up on much of them if at all in this blend.
That said, it matters not— this cup is balm for my soul in the days where much-needed tranquility is hard to find. Now if I could only figure out how to get my cup of tea to practice daily meditation *for* me, I’d be good to go. In the meantime, I’ll just keep sipping!

Harbor Time Tea from Steepers Artisan Teas
Harbor Time Tea from Steepers Artisan Teas had me do a double take. WHY? Because of the wonderfully green ingredients! This tea contains: Peppermint, Green Rooibos, Hawthorn Leaf, Spearmint, Blackberry Leaf. Everything is all natural and pleasant to all the senses!
Another Green Rooibos!? YAY! Green Rooibos finally seems to be stepping up and facing the Red Rooibos! I felt for too long that Green has been hanging out in the background while the Red had all the fun! Harbor Time Tea from Steepers Artisan Teas has just enough Green Rooibos to make everything work in this blend of flavors! The peppermint/spearmint is the REAL rock star! It’s the loudest aroma and flavor in this mix! Lucky for me – I’m a true minty-nut!
I would like to do a quick shout out to the Hawthorn Leaf and Blackberry Leaf that is also being used in this Green Rooibos Tisane! I have been seeing more and more Blackberry Leaves being used and I think that is pretty exciting! Hawthorn Leaf I usually see in heavy herbal tisanes. Harbor Time Tea from Steepers Artisan Teas is minty, herbally, and has a speck of underlying sweetness! It’s a REAL KEEPER!
