I’ve had plenty of mint tea, just mostly peppermint or just a generic mint with peppermint and spearmint leaves. Moroccan mint tea sounded very fancy, and I was super excited to try it. I learned that this tea is gunpowder green tea and spearmint tea, so like many other mint teas it isn’t caffeine free.
The first thing I noticed was how mild the mint flavor is. Don’t get me wrong, you can taste the mint but it is a very mild almost sweet flavor. I really like it. It doesn’t have that sharp, almost bitter flavor that some mint teas have.
Since it is spring, and along with all the beauty of flowers blooming come allergies, I found this to be very soothing on my stuffy nose. I also enjoyed the little energy boost from the green tea because allergies can sometimes make me feel a little drowsy. This was a delicious and very refreshing way to start my day. I feel like mint tea is such a great tea to have first thing in the morning as it gently wakes up all your senses. It kind of calmly welcomes you to your day.
My first experience with mint tea was years ago when I was fighting my coffee addiction, and I discovered mint yerba mate. I remember feeling like it was such a nice, gentle way to wake up as opposed to the aggressive kick you get from coffee. It really helped me through some rough times, and this Moroccan mint tea reminded me of that revelation. I really enjoyed this, and I think anyone who loves mint tea would love it as well!

Power Up! from Because UR Priceless. . . .
I put off trying this tea. Most of the time I don’t NEED to power up. When I wake up in the mornings I am ready to roll, no caffeine required. Sometimes I could use a lift during the day, though. But this has maté! This has hibiscus! Two things that I have occasionally had bad experiences with. Hibiscus is usually Iced and sweet around here.
I decided to give it a go today because it was either take a nap or do something to get the wheels spinning again. I went for it as a hot unsweetened cuppa instead of resorting to iced tea with it because I need to wake up NOW.
The nice surprise is that when the tea is really hot, it is smooth and minty! The green base is good, the maté isn’t a deeply roasted flavor like what I had before, and the hibiscus isn’t very strong…YET. I prefer spearmint to peppermint in most teas and the spearmint dominates the hibiscus until it cools. It is a super refreshing tea.
As the tea cooled, hibiscus came out more and more. That’s okay! I can reheat! And next time I will make it by the cup instead of by the pot so that I can enjoy its minty goodness.

Mint Sencha Green Tea from Pique. . . . .
This tea is interesting. It comes in a little packet, and it’s been crystallized so it’s a powder. But it isn’t a powder like Matcha that needs to be whisked or stirred vigorously. It dissolves immediately in hot water, I barely had to stir!
Right away I smelled mint and it immediately woke up my senses. I love mint tea so much for it’s ability to wake up my senses and make me ready for the day. It’s both stimulating and relaxing.
What I really like about this particular tea is that while the mint flavor is definitely front and center, I can still taste the earthiness of the sencha tea. I really appreciate that since I do love green tea.
I don’t drink caffeinated tea often these days, but when I do I really want to enjoy and savor it, and this tea was very enjoyable. I’ve been dealing with some minor stuffiness brought on by sinus issues, and the mint really helped first thing in the morning. I feel much more clear headed and alert.
According to Pique’s website, the ingredients are 100% organic, and batch tested to ensure antioxidant levels and no heavy metals. The polyphenol antioxidant level is high for this tea, so not only is is delicious but it’s very good for you. I would imagine that this would make a really amazing iced tea on a hot summer day.
This tea needs no sweetener or added anything, it really is very tasty all on it’s own. It’s perfectly balanced, the mint is not too strong or bitter, and it is definitely one of the best mint teas I’ve ever tried. My body is thanking me for drinking it!

Minty Green Organic Tea from Care Tea. . . . .
For those of you who know me – or have read some of my reviews here already – you know I’m a MINT FREAK – so when I saw a single minty fresh green tea yet to be tried in my stash I gladly opened and inhaled the minty greatness!
Organic Green Tea and Organic Mint are the only two ingredients in this cup! The classic case of LESS is MORE. And just because this is in a bag doesn’t mean the flavor isn’t powerful because it was! The tea I’m referring to is Minty Green Organic Tea from Care Tea.
Care Tea describes it as a fresh kiss of peppermint meets a pure crisp green, with the feel of a mountaintop escape in spring. Dramatic. I like it. Descriptive. I crave it. It ended up being delightfully refreshing. It made me crave more.
I don’t know which I enjoyed more…the hot cup taste test or the cold cup taste test. They were equally as good.
Care Tea’s words to live by are…Care for your health, Care for your soul, Care for your world, Perspective in a cup. This tea was uplifting in every way and was a great way to start my day! Ahhhhh!

#MusicandTeaMonday: Summer Lovin’ from BlendBee
Recently I subscribed to BlendBee’s monthly tea subscription and I couldn’t be happier. Each month I receive 2 different teas that I get to enjoy throughout the month before the next tea package arrives. I love my tea subscriptions. With being a part of the SororiTea Sisters, I get the amazing privilege to try different teas and experience flavors I might not able to. That same thought can be said with my monthly tea subs. You just never know what you are going to get and I love that. Gets you out of your comfort zone.
This month I received Summer Lovin’, a gorgeous green tea blend with a focus on creating a bright and vibrant flavor profile. And does this blend ever deliver on its name!
First sip of this tea and you are greeted with a lush smooth green tea with pops of mint. There is an undertone of an herbal dried fruit feel that really mingles well with the mint. Really great blend that gives you a pop of sunshine into your day or night. I’ve been drinking this tea all day and I just can’t get enough. Fresh simple herbal notes with a green tea mint twist. Just refreshing as they come. Another wonderful blend from BlendBee!
And with the name like Summer Lovin’. . .we just had to go there!
Hope this review brightened your day like this tea did mine! Join us for more #musicandteamondays every Monday!
