Lilith’s Fabulous Tea from 52Teas

LilithsFabulousTeaReviewTea Information:

Leaf Type:  White Tea

Where to Buy: 52Teas

Tea Description:

Since it’s the week of my youngest daughter’s birthday, I decided I should create a tea inspired by her.  Two of her favorite fruit flavors (especially fruit tea flavors) are Lemon and Blueberry.  And she has felt a special love for cotton candy ever since she portrayed “cotton candy” in her ballet company’s rendition of Hansel & Gretel.  So I put those three flavors together with her favorite tea base – white tea – and came up with this “fabulous” blend.

Now, lemon, blueberry and cotton candy may seem a little weird, but, it actually tastes quite FABULOUS!

Taster’s Review:

This tea from the start was absolutely gorgeous! I adored the huge chunks of fruit and the gorgeous presentation of the tea overall.  The pops of color really gave this tea a vibrant overall take.  Just lovely!

Brewed this up at work and was excited to treat myself to a tea that had any kind of connection to cotton candy. I mean c’mon. Cotton Candy is amazing! With that in mind, I couldn’t wait for this tea to finish steeping so I could take my first taste.

Took my first sip and I was sad to say that I didn’t get bulled over and wowed with lemon or blueberry flavors.  They were present and delicious but it was like something was missing. So I cold brewed this tea.

Cold brewing sometimes can really pull out flavors that you would never expect from a tea. I cold brewed this tea overnight and my goodness, this tea was simply one of the best cold brewed teas I have ever have.  Delicious all the way around. Beautiful lemon notes with a vibrant blueberry undertone.  The white tea base laid a nice groundwork of subtly sweet and lightly floral like notes.  Heaven in a glass.  I added in some fresh lemon slices and a few blueberries . . . can’t get much better than that.  It looks like there is still some of this sweet lovin’ tea on the site . . . If you want some of this amazing lemon blueberry white tea. . .you should probably check it out soon before I do!

Blue Lady from Positiviteas

blueladyTea Information:

Leaf Type:  Herbal

Where to Buy: Positiviteas

Tea Description:

“The Blue Lady” is a delicate cup of manners at your fingertips. This little lady is equipped with the four light flavors of Blueberries, Lavender, Lemongrass, and Nettle. Usually, these four ingredients pack a bit of a punch – except for the Lavender. With the Lavender acting as the base, the other three ingredients are added to compliment, but not overpower the lightness and mildness of the base. All together, this brew is full-flavored, but it still keeps the courtesy to not overwhelm your mouth with strong flavors.

Taster’s Review:

Floral teas have been a craving of mine of late, but lavender and I have really never been friends.  But I always try it knowing that one day I would find a blend with lavender that I would love.  And that has happened!

Positiviteas is an Etsy Shop that offers amazing blends like Pucker Up and Sunny Afternoon that make you want to impulse buy some tea.  So many wonderful different blends and I want to try them all!

Blue Lady is a blend of blueberries and lavender for the most part.  There is a distinctive floral perfume like fragrance to the dry leaf mix.  I brewed this up as an  herbal, pulled up my big girl pants, and tried a new tea that I wasn’t sure I was going to like.

Huzzah! This tea is amazing! Thank you Positiviteas! This tea is delicious, refreshing, and soothing.  One of those cozy and charming tea blends that really sings to your soul and settles your nerves.  One of those blends you kick up your feet and let the delicious flavors take away the stresses of your day.

Sweet slightly fruity floral notes are what you get in each sip.  There is a floral perfume flavor but not one that has a bit to it like other teas.  This tea is graceful with the lavender, giving you just a hint of that floral note.  I’m quite surprised at how much I adore this tea.

For me, this tea would be a fabulous stress reducing tea that you indulge in after a hard day.  This tea could very easily be my new evening tea blend!

Taster’s Review:

To say I am a fan of this company would be an understatement.  I adore this company! So far I have had a couple of their herbal teas and all have delivered a flavor that was spot on.  With herbals they can be hit or miss, but everything from Urbal Tea has been delicious and ones I would highly recommend.

This particular tea was sent to me in a tea bag.  I boiled up my water and allowed this tea to steep directly in my mug.  While it was steeping, I kept thinking I was smelling bubblegum.  Yes, this tea has a bubblegum/candy fragrance.  How fun is that!

Brewed this tea up for about 10 minutes and instantly fell in love with the gorgeous pinkish red color I was left with.  Took my first sip and oh mama. . . This is some good strawberry lovin’!

The itself is sweet yet the hints of tartness that are there gently give a slight contrast.  Remember back in the day when Snapple was everywhere and they had a strawberry kiwi flavored one? This reminds me of that flavor but this flavor is kicked up several notches and tastes amazingly fresh where Snapple always tasted watered down and not so great.  The strawberry kiwi flavor is what you are greeted with front and center.  I pick up subtle notes of the other ingredients but they are much less pronounced than the strawberry. As delicious as this was hot, I wanted to try this iced.

When this tea is treated like an iced tea, you are greeted with this adorable candy like flavor that I wasn’t getting when brewed hot.  Strawberry candy flavor.

For an herbal tea, it just doesn’t get much better. I can see this tea being fantastic as a tea to serve at a girl’s tea party or just to enjoy yourself! I’m hooked!

Taster’s Review:

I have been on a herbal kick as of late and loving it.  Herbals are something that I think you either love or hate depending on the ingredients.  I know chamomile and hibiscus blends are sometimes referred to as vile, but I love them.  About the only tea I don’t care for is red rooibos blends, but beyond that I’ll try anything.

Work has been nuts lately and I wanted something to be refreshing yet soothing so I grabbed my sample of this Tulsi blend from Simpson & Vail.  I was crazy impressed with their Cozy Comfort blend that I tried the other day (tasted like monkey bread!) I had high expectations but once I took in the fragrance from the dry leaf mix, I had my hesitations. The ginger smelled like it was going to be strong.

Brewed this up in my Sei Sei Tumbler and allowed it to steep for about 5 minutes in boiling water.  Poured the brew into my cuppa and sat down to go over what I needed to to for the day.  As I took my first sip, I literally thought, nope, I will not be reviewing what I need to do today.  I am going to sit right here with my feet propped up on my desk and enjoy my tea. And that is exactly what I did!

This tea hit the spot in so many ways.  I wanted a soothing blend that touched the soul, so to speak.  Once that would refresh and calm me but also be vibrant enough to deliver that kick I would need to keep going.  This tea did all of that. No, I’m not going to say it will cure what will ail you, but in that moment of time, this tea delivered everything I needed.

What I loved the most was the citrus flavor that had a tart twist at the end of the sip with the ginger floating in and out.  The ginger wasn’t overwhelming like I was worried about and actually became the flavor I was seeking each sip I took.  Which is very surprising to me.  I am not a huge ginger fan.  This tea had such a cozy charming feel to it with the tart and sweet contrast that I found myself wanting more of this tea right after the cuppa was gone.  I ended up drinking this tea for the remainder of the day, letting the flavors really give me that cozy feeling I was wanting with that kick I desperately needed.

Tea #2 that I have tried from Simpson & Vail and another tea I am adoring!

Taster’s Review:

With a new like this one, you can’t help but have high expectations.  I adore graham crackers and the flavor they yield.  I recently devoured a box of Star Wars Graham crackers so I’ve got a taste for them right now.

I’m not sure where this tea came from, but I was excited to try it.  I’ve heard good things about teas from Herbal Infusions and with a tea that is a mix of coconut and graham crackers. . . what could be better?

Brewed this up in my little tea pot with the help of my Breville One Touch to prep the water to the correct temp.

Poured the brew into my tea cup and sat down to enjoy some relax time.  First sip in and your taste buds are enveloped with this fabulous coconut flavor.  Like intense coconut fresh flavor.  The secondary flavors hit you with a gentle and subtle manner.  A lovely brown sugar like flavor.

This tea is a delicious black flavored tea for those who enjoy coconut flavors.  I would recommend added two scoops instead of just one.  With one, the coconut flavors were strong but that was about it.  With two I think the other flavors would start to really come thru and pop.

First experience with this company and I’m quite happy!
