Taster’s Review:

Thyme Chai From Balcony Tea is unlike anything I have had before and that is a GOOD thing!  It does take a while for the tea water to fully infuse to a dark brown that you would expect from a black based tea but it’s worth the wait.  I actually went the full 5  minutes.  The loose leaf mixture is gently placed in a silk sachet so I wasn’t able to do my usual double dosage at half the time for a stronger black tea.  I wanted to try is straight up as Balcony Teas attended first.  It was a success!

I was trying to figure out how Thyme Chai From Balcony Tea was supposed to TASTE like a chai when all it had in it was Black Tea, Wild Thyme, and Vanilla.  I don’t know how they did it but they did!  It was very Chai-esque!  That Wild Thyme must be some potent stuff!  The vanilla gives it a hint of smooth on the end sip, too!  The Black Tea base was impressively strong for something in a sachet!

Thyme Chai From Balcony Tea was pleasing to each of my senses!  The ingredients used were of good quality.  I enjoy the labeling and stories that go along with these teas, too!  Well done!

Taster’s Review:

Pink Rose Lemonade from The Tea Spot…that just sounds lovely, doesn’t it?  Well…it IS!  I’m usually not BIG on herbal tisanes but this Pink Rose Lemonade from The Tea Spot is something that sparks my interest that is for sure!

The product description and profile said the ingredients of this herbal tisane were lemon, rose, mint, chamomile, and lavender and that it is good hot or cold.  I agree!  First I want to point out how well these 5 ingredients meshed together so nicely!  The ratio seemed to be 1/5 – 1/5 across the board…at least that is what my taste buds seemed to pick up!  I’m glad because I don’t generally like or side with chamomile flavors but if you pair chamomile with mint I’m more apt to try it.  Lemon is always a plus.  Rose and Lavender I can be hot and cold on but here it worked!

Pink Rose Lemonade from The Tea Spot is refreshing this or any time of year!  This is probably on my short list of favorite herbal tisane offerings to date!

Taster’s Review:

I have been wanting to try Friday Tea’s offerings for a while. And to my delight the other day I received a box from them thru a gift exchange I recently participated in.

This tea was the first one I had to try.  A lovely herbal blend of peaches, apple, orange cinnamon, chamomile, and blue cornflower. The tea itself was gorgeous to look at and smelled amazingly fruity .  I couldn’t wait to brew the tea up.

Steeped in water that was fresh boiled and allowed to sit for a few minutes, this tea was amazingly fruity, vibrant and delicious.  You first get a lovely base of the peaches with notes of cinnamon giving the tea a bit of a spiced kick, but a gentle kick.  The chamomile comes in next providing the blend with an almost baked dessert feeling and taste.  Each sip finishes off with a lush citrus note that lovingly completes the tea.

What I am trying to say, is this tea is dynamite! One of the better herbal teas I’ve had in a while and one that is impressive from the first sip. I’m on my second infusion and this tea is continuing to give this really bright and vibrant peachy flavor.   I can just imagine making this into a cold brew or as an iced tea.  This is one of those teas that will be amazing (I bet) anyway you prep it.

I’m excited to dig into the rest of the box to see what other lovely teas I have from them. I see a possible order in my future! Friday Tea offers quite a few unique teas that I can’t wait to check out.

Taster’s Review:

I have always wanted to try Blend Bee Teas and thankfully the last box I received from Amoda Tea had Blend Bee Teas in it.

If you aren’t familiar with them, Amoda Tea is a monthly subscription service.  Each month you receive a sampling of teas from one company, showcasing their teas and allowing you the chance to try teas that you might not have tried.  I just love that concept. Other boxes send you a mix of different teas from different companies but the way Amoda Tea works, you get a nice sampling of what that particular company offers. Pretty great concept!

This blend from Blend Bee is an Oolong/Herbal mix that sounds amazing. All of the ingredients just sounded fantastic and the dry leaf mix smelled gorgeous.  I brewed this blend up with the parameters that were on the package and took my first sip.

As gorgeous as this tea smelled, I have to be honest and say I didn’t really care for the taste. There was something off with the tea that I can’t place my finger on. I’m wondering if its the ashwagandha root. All of the other flavors mix well together and from what I can tell would make a glorious tea on their own. The are strong notes of lemon and strawberry.  Those two flavors with the oolong note were heavenly.

I would love to try this tea without the ashwagandha root. Regardless, I’m still very excited to be given the change to check this tea and company out. I’m already on the website of both Amoda Tea and Blend Bee to see what looks interesting!

Taster’s Review:

This tea is a perfect example of why I love being a SororiTea Sister! All the fun and unique teas you get to experience that you might now have tried on your own. I love my floral and flowering teas so this one I thought would be right up my alley.

When I first looked in the pouch, I was very surprised with what I found. Being relatively new to Snow Chrysanthemum teas, I didn’t expect such a unique looking flower. I was thinking more like a fluffy Chrysanthemum like I’ve had in the past and this was more of a berry flower bud.  I gladly poured a few heaping scoops into my tea pot and allowed this tea to brew to its gorgeous purplish amber brew for me to try.

While this tea was brewing, I was getting a very strong tangy berry aroma.  I was hoping that the aroma would translate into a very tangy flavor. And it did! This tea created such a lovely tangy herbal like tea that soothed this tired soul after a really long day at the office. I just loved it.

There wasn’t a floral taste that I could really pick up but there was a familiar tangy herbal flavor that almost had a sour like resemblance.  I brewed up another infusion and I was greeted with the same flavor profile.  I can see how this would be a favorite amongst Teasenz customers. This tea is gorgeous hot. But I knew and had a feeling this would make an incredibly iced tea.

So I grabbed a few ice cubes from our break room and threw them in my cup and poured the tea in. Wow! This tea was just as good iced as it was hot. I’m getting the same flavor profile but just in a different temperature. Regardless of how you brew this tea, I think it is a winner!
