Taster’s Review:
I always find myself slightly cringing at the thought of trying these teas from Green Tea HP. And, the fact of the matter is, the cringe is unfounded, because every single one of the products that I’ve tried from Green Tea HP has tasted really good!
These are instant tea powders that come in little “pixies,” and they mix up quick and easy into a glass of water (filtered please!) … OR for the individual on the go, just pour the pixie into a bottle of water and shake it up. It dissolves instantly, and there’s no undissolved sediment at the bottom of the glass … it all gets evenly incorporated.
This Muscle Pump has a sweet, berry-like taste that tastes a bit more like a berry punch than it does a tea. And I think that this is where I think I tend to “cringe.” It’s because it doesn’t really taste a whole lot like tea. It tastes more like an energy drink or one of those drinks you mix from a powder (think Crystal Light), and part of me worries that it might be sweetened with aspartame – and I’m really REALLY allergic to aspartame. But, it isn’t sweetened with sugar OR aspartame and it is diabetic friendly. I’m not a diabetic, but, when it comes to sugar I like to control how much I put into my body and I like that this doesn’t have any sugar in it. And I really appreciate that there is no aspartame!
And even though it doesn’t taste a whole lot like green tea (I’ve said before that these are more geared toward those who don’t drink a lot of green tea but want to enjoy the health benefits of green tea), I still enjoy the flavor. It is sweet and pleasant, and I think of all the different Green Tea HP flavors I’ve tried thus far, this one might be my favorite. And to think I was so afraid to try it! I’m liking this!
And I now feel like I have enough energy to go and clean the kitchen floor!

By know you may have noticed I’m a fan of Red Leaf Tea! They are a great company with a wonderful selection. I especially enjoy their newer matcha additions! They have many matcha’s that other companies have NEVER thought of doing – or even attempting! I like that! I LOVE when tea companies think outside the box! Another thing I really like about Red Leaf Tea is their product descriptions! They really know how to educate their customers! I really enjoyed learning about Gymnema Sylevestre!
As far as my opinions and findings while sampling this matcha of theirs…I found it to be a very nice, strong , rich, – and HEALTHY – matcha! Not to mention great quality tasting matcha! It leaves a leafy green meets veggie aftertaste but it’s darn good! If you are a matcha fan – this is one you don’t want to pass up!

I, for one, am overly ready to KISS SUMMER hello! So when I saw this Summer Kiss tea from Red Leaf Tea Company I was very happy. I know you aren’t supposed to judge a tea by it’s name – but I couldn’t resist!
This black tea had large rose buds in it and shouted SUMMER! It was highly scented and the taste was pleasing – that is for sure! The product description mentioned hibiscus – to be honest I didn’t notice it – and that is coming from someone who doesn’t favor hibiscus. I know of the healthy benefits of hibiscus and really wished I did LOVE it but I usually find it too tart or too sweet or distracting for me. I will say – whatever Red Leaf did with it in flavoring the black tea here – is PERFECT! At least for my personal preferences!
The black tea taste is a little weaker of the black teas I have had but that is ok…I don’t think a big, bold, black would work here with this blend…so again…Red Leaf is “right on”. Then there is the rose. The roses are beautiful and very flavorful! I recently found this nutritional info about infusing rose buds and petals and thought I would share it with you…

I received a sample of this and it sure does taste like Pineapple and the strawberry comes in underneath! It’s a dark tannish color and I like the taste but if you aren’t prepared for it it does seem to slap you in the face at first! I’m very excited to try some of the other flavors! And I do have them on tap soon so check back!

It suggests 8 to 16 ounces but I doubt I would ever try any less than 16 ounces because it IS VERY flavorful!!!!
There is a sweetness and green tea type taste but the Pineapple and Strawberry are the ones budging to the front of the line.
This is a neat twist on Green Tea and it’s very healthy for you! Check it out!
