Detox – also known as – Let’s Detox from The NecessiTeas is an interesting blend. The blended base is Honeybush and Rooibos. But it also has Lemon Myrtle, Lemon Peel, Star Anise, Ginger, Licorice Root, Juniper Berries, Lemongrass, Marigold, Stevia, Birch Leaves, and Willow Bark.
My favorite part of this mix of ingredients is the ratios of ingredients which are all done nicely. Nothing is overdone. Everything blends well. The Lemon Myrtle, Peel, and Grass really shine but also play well with the Licorice which initially scared me but after sipping on this cuppa my fears were completely calmed. The Licorice wasn’t prominent, overdone, or interrupting any of the other flavors.
Another thing I was a bit frightened about was the Stevia. Many companies tend to over do it with the Stevia…that isn’t the case here, thankfully. I really appreciate the addition of the Juniper Berries, Birch Leaves, and Willow Bark as I’ve learned about them from my local herb lady and find them to be fascinatingly powerful for the heart, body, and soul. Of course I am not making any health claims here but I really do LOVE many of the contents of this loose mix.
Detox from The NecessiTeas or Let’s Detox from The NecessiTeas is thoughtfully put together and tasty on the tongue while soul warming and day unwinding!

Golden Turmeric Ginger Tea from Amoda Tea . . . . .
Maybe you have guessed I am a Turmeric Fan. In case you didn’t…well…I guess today you’ll learn something new about me. It’s true…I LOVE Turmeric! Today I would like to tell you all about my experience with Golden Turmeric Ginger Tea from Amoda Tea.
I have been drinking more and more Turmeric teas and tisanes over the last couple of months! I LOVE that it’s catching on at a rapid rate! As for Golden Turmeric Ginger Tea from Amoda Tea, specifically, I will say the very fine powder is light and fluffy but potent in aroma and flavor.
I really appreciate that Amoda uses all Organic Ingredients in this including turmeric powder, fennel powder, true cinnamon powder, ginger powder, anise seed powder, vanilla powder. What I found different about this flavor as opposed to others I have tried is that I could taste the fennel and anise more than the other ingredients. The vanilla was more subtle. I may try this again with 1 or 2 drops of vanilla extract and/or vanilla flavored stevia. A squirt of maple syrup or flavored Agave might be another nice addition.
I tried this straight up and also tried this with almond milk. I will say that I liked it with the almond milk better than stand alone with water. The key for me was the hotter the better. I also just used a spoon to stir it in but I would like to try blender recipes with this as I think you could get really creative in the kitchen with this product!
Another thing I can’t help but think about is using Coconut Milk and/or Coconut Crystals since I have been having a lot of success with coconut products in lattes, too! The possibilities are really endless! Don’t be surprised if you see more recipes using this and other Turmeric based products in the near future!
Turmeric is one of those things that has been used for hundreds of years and history is starting to repeat itself and it’s being appreciated and used again! I, for one, am overjoyed! The more Turmeric the Merrier

Equalibrium from Urbal Teas. . . . .
Equilibrium from Urbal Teas is what’s next at Sororitea Sisters. It’s a heavily herbal Rooibos Blend of flavors. Urbal Tea says it’s their version of an herbal chai. I’m not sure if I would make that flavor connection right away but what I will say is that the actual flavor of this did blow me away!
It’s made up of Rooibos, Nettle leaf, Rosehip, Raspberry leaf, Licorice root, Anise Seed, Cardamom, Clove, Calendula, Dandelion leaf, Ginkgo, Eleuthero, Oatstraw, Gotu Kola, Cinnamon, Anise Seed and Safflower petals. All of that offers a herbal yet sweet taste. A creamy yet oat-like flavor. A floral yet spicy subtle surprise on the tongue. I have to give credit where credit is due. I think what brings this all together is the gentle use of licorice. I rarely say that because I was turned off by a few licorice flavored teas in the past and I know it isn’t fair to pre-judge others but they aren’t the first flavor I jump for if you know what I mean.
I’m a complex character. And so is this tea. I LOVE Peanut Butter. And I like some Jellies. But I don’t care for Peanut Butter AND Jelly Sandwiches. It’s weird, I know. That’s kind of how I feel about Licorice. I LOVE Licorice. I just don’t usually like Licorice Tea. In THIS specific case I couldn’t imagine this heavily flavored rooibos any other way! The Licorice is done PERFECTLY and really MAKES this tisane!
Every time I have a cup of Urbal Teas offerings I continued to be amazed by their blending ability. I should know by now NOT to ever question or be afraid of it because they are always memorable!

Description
This is our version of an herbal chai blend without the black tea or black pepper. A warming combination of spices and herbs including anise, licorice, raspberry, and nettle to restore internal order and balance in the body. Rosehip makes an excellent tonic for a tired and worn out body. Anise helps rejuvenate the digestive system and soothe your respiratory pathways, while raspberry is known to improve your vitality. Licorice is a powerful herb that eases body tensions and clears the respiratory system. The spice components of clove and cardamom jump start your entire body. There is much historical evidence to suggest that Nettle, a component of the blend, has the ability to settle the body. Likewise, calendula has long been prized by herbalists for its ability to cleanse and detoxify the body, in particular the liver and gallbladder.

Revitalizing with Peppermint from Balcony Teas
Revitalizing with Peppermint from Balcony Tea is a herbal tisane made up of peppermint, spearmint, aniseed, chamomile, liquorice, and rosemary.
Ever since I had a Licorice and Peppermint tisane from a completely different company I am afraid what others might bring. Maybe afraid is the wrong word – perhaps – CAUTIOUS – would be more fitting. But I didn’t have to worry with this Revitalizing with Peppermint from Balcony Tea because it was VERY nicely done!
The ingredients in Revitalizing with Peppermint from Balcony Tea were playing together nicely. I was able to taste the licorice and minty duo of peppermint and spearmint upfront but with the others following closely behind. The subtle Aniseed, Chamomile, and Rosemary served a mighty purpose with a small roar. This was a DANDY of an herbal!

Inner Fire from Urbal Tea
Sometimes a tea aroma stumps my nose and today that tea is Inner Fire from Urbal Tea. This flavored Oolong/Green Rooibos/Yerba Mate blended base smells like cinnamon apple sauce with a hint of blueberry. The funny thing is I can’t see that it has ANY apple in the blend!
Inner Fire from Urbal Tea contains Dandelion leaf, Chickweed, Bilberry, Horsetail, Fennel, Yarrow, Eleuthero, Burdock root, Green Rooibos, Cinnamon, Rhodiola root, Dandelion root, Wuyi Wulong Oolong, Ginkgo, Yerba Mate, Green Mate, Licorice Root, Red Clover, Tulsi, Hibiscus, Blueberries, Cinnamon, Calendula flower, Corn Flower, and natural flavors.
I was feeling pretty confident that there were enough other ingredients to combat the hibiscus that was in there and I was right! I could taste a pleasant combination of herbs in my first sip followed by various berries. I was able to pick up on the fennel, green rooibos, Yerba Mate, and Tulsi in follow-up sips.
I appreciate the blends I have tried so far from Urbal Tea because of the massive amounts of herbs that go in them. They all seems to play together nicely. I think that is harder to do the more herbs you throw in the mix but Urbal Tea does it right! They also use just the right amount of hibiscus – when they do use hibiscus. When it comes to Inner Fire from Urbal Teas I’m thrilled they used a blended base of Oolong, Green Rooibos, and Yerba Mate…I’m not sure if I have had a trio based combo using these three before – let alone one that incorporates so many awesome herbs! 2 thumps up on this one!
