Today my husband asked me for a no nonsense not fru fru simple drinking tea and I knew exactly which tea to brew up for him.
True Honey Teas offer tea drinkers a tea and honey combination in every sip of their teas. In both their K Cups and bagged teas, honey along with sugar has been added in one for or another. And when I say sugar I mean sugar. Not stevia or or any other sweetener. But pure sugar. My husband was quite excited about that fact.
Brewed up with water at around 190F and allowed to steep for 3 minutes, this tea yields a very delicious yet very sweet brew. The honey comes across right away and the green tea base provides that perfect contrast to the sweet honey giving the tea this very satisfying sip each and every time.
I will admit, the honey/sugar is a bit much for me and I find myself only able to drink a cup here or there. I rarely add any sugar or honey to my teas, but the rest of my house devoured this tea after I brewed up a few cuppas. Like DEVOURED it to the point where they are asking me for more. They even asked me to throw a few tea bags into a pitcher to make a batch of sweet iced green tea. Something that I think even I could get on board with.
All in all a great cuppa for sure just one I don’t think I could see as a daily drinker for me personally. This tea blend is simple and to the point. Green Tea sweetened with honey and sugar. Honestly, a great combination for any tea drinker! My family has deemed this tea blend a winner!

Steamed Honey Green from Embrew. . . . .
When I was originally taking pictures of the blend (I took it out of the satchel), I was very confused as to what the yellow granules were. I looked it up and found out that it was granulated honey! I’ve never granulated honey before. Also, what a neat concept to have the honey already in the blend. I really enjoy that the company had the predetermined sweetness factored in.
After brewing the blend, there was a grassy aroma from wet leaves. The liquor was very smooth and had a nice subtle grassy flavour with a hint of honey sweetness.
Since there is honey in the blend, it is important to stir the liquor every so often, because it will settle at the bottom if left un-stirred. I really enjoyed this one and I think that it would be great for late afternoons.

Supreme Matcha Green from Pukka. . .
A friend got a bunch of sample teas at her job and was so kind to send me some. The brand is Pukka, which I’ve seen at a few specialty shops, but never tried myself.
This morning I decided to try the supreme matcha green, which according to the packet has the finest organic green tea leaves and the finest matcha powder. The first thing I noticed was the amazing, crisp smell of the tea. It made me want to start drinking right away. I almost could smell ginger, although it has no ginger. This is going to sound crazy, but this tea smelled beautiful.
Hands down this is the best green tea I have ever had. It has such a distinct, fresh flavor that I’ve never tasted in any green tea. It was so crisp you would almost think it has citrus, or ginger.
This really made my morning. I got two bags of this type, so I’m going to make a batch of iced tea with the other bag. My guess is that it will be the best, most refreshing green tea ever.
I have noticed when I see this brand of tea at the shops it is a little pricier than other teas, but I can say hands down it’s worth it. I was seriously blown away.

Taster’s Review:
Sometimes the teas that hit the spot are the simplest teas that you ignore in the back of your stash. I haven’t been ignoring this one per say but I don’t always drink tea bagged tea anymore. I seem to leave those as a last resort. For shame on me once again!
I have noticed this brand several times on Amazon but never really took a second look. For a Moroccan Tea this one isn’t too bad. The mint is strong and the green is tea is nice and refreshing. This tea didn’t provide any kind of wow factor that I usually look for.
Not sure I would love to own more of this but to try it, I’d say its decent. I just really enjoy some of the other tea companies versions of this tea like Tealated. Telated has a marvelous Moroccan Tea that is simply done but there is a bit more complexity to it with a roasted finish.
Like I said, I wouldn’t run right out and pick more of this up, but I definitely favor this bagged tea over others. I’m curious now about this brand and want to try some more. Looks like they have some interesting flavors on their site. I do have to say it is nice to have a reliable tea on hand for when guests are around or when you don’t want to mess with loose leaf tea. This one could fit that bill pretty well!
