Benefits Lemon and Echinacea from Bigelow Tea . . . .

This week, my Health points were hit with a triple whammy: day-after sore muscles from kickboxing, monthlies, and I caught the cold going around, waaaaaaaaaah. Needless to say I busted out my favorite treatments – acetaminophen, zinc and herbal tea lol.

Ordinarily I prefer loose leaf teas, but I do like that this is Bigelow Benefits – lemon echinacea is bagged for convenience on the go. Also, if the herbs are broken up, they’ll release their goodness (or placebo effect) to me faster… right?!?! The brew tasted like a Chord of flavor, Lemongrass provides the main note, then sweet mallow and finally a hint of herbaceousness from the echinacea (which lessens the severity/duration of colds).

Also included: a bit of fennel for tummy relief, Sage as a decongestant, Elderflower for crunchy mom powers, and lemon balm for mental ease. This is still drinkable medicine when brewed with my other go-to tea bag for colds, traditional medicinals “throat coat”.

I’d recommend for cold season and in travel bags, Bring on the wellness!

Tasters Review:
I LOVE Apricots and Peaches.  I always have!  As a matter of fact…when I was a toddler my mother used to buy me dehydrated apricots and I would eat them right out of the bag!  I mean, what little kid voluntarily eats Apricots, eh!?  It’s like I couldn’t get enough of them!  I still like them to this day!

I also like Ginger in many things…mostly food.  Usually I don’t gravitate to the Ginger Teas that I see right away because the ones I have had in the past are either “Too Much Ginger” that is overwhelms the rest of the ingredients or it’s “fake tasting”.

It seems I have struggled to find many Ginger Flavors that work with my palate…until NOW…

This Ginger, Peach, and Apricot Flavored Black Tea from Boston Tea Co is terrific!

Another description I found for this tea – in short – is listed on Steepster as:

Ginger bits, lush peaches and apricots blended with Chinese black tea and enhanced with natural ginger-peach flavor add up to a delightfully sweet-tart refresher.

That pretty much sums it up!  My thoughts are that the Peach and Apricot seem to be pretty good friends in this flavored black tea.  It seems to have the perfect amount of ginger for my liking!

So far…this is one of my favorites from Boston Tea Co.
