Wellness Tea-Bone Repair from The Virginia Tea Company. . . .

It is the beginning of a new year and I’m sure if you are like me, you are seeing a ton of detox and healthy wellness teas in your social media feeds. I’ve never been a big fan of good for you herbals but I’ve always enjoyed herbals that are full of dried fruit.   Recently I’ve noticed my taste buds are starting to change. I’m no longer craving the floral teas like I used to but am finding myself really craving herbs and spices like ginger, spearmint, peppermint, chamomile, and so on.

So today I thought would be a great day to try Bone Repair from The Virginia Tea Company.  I am a huge advocate for natural herbal remedies to cure what ails you. Not that I don’t grab OTC drugs when I’m in need, but I do prefer to try out a more natural approach for certain body issues I have.

Bone Repair is a mix of nettle, St. John’s Wort, chamomile, dandelion, ginger root, and peppermint.  All are organic. This tea’s description on the site goes something like this:

High in vitamins and helpful bone minerals, these herbs make this tea a wonderful enabler for strengthening your body’s skeleton.

Regardless of the health benefits, I have to say this tea is amazing. Herbal teas to me always have that herbaceous feel to them and this tea doesn’t really have it or maybe I should say that feel isn’t overwhelming.

There is a light sweetness mingled with a hint of spice surrounded by a refreshing cooling mint aftertaste. I can’t say that I’ve ever had such a smooth herbal tea like this before. I have literally had four cups of this tea today alone (resteeping the same bag even!).

I haven’t had some of these spices and herbs before so I can’t say if what I’m tasting is from this or that. All I can say is even if I am not in need of bone repair specifically-this tea delivers a refreshing, soothing, and calming flavor that could be enjoyed any time of the day.

Really happy with this one and I have a feeling that this will be a re-order for me. Plus, there is a cool option to get tea accessories added in for just a bit more. You have to love that option!

#FanaticFriday: The Archer Tea (Formerly Daryl Dixon Tea) from Adagio Signature Fandom Blends

#FanaticFriday: The Archer Tea (Formerly Daryl Dixon Tea) from Adagio Signature Fandom Blends is today’s tag and The Archer Tea (Formerly Daryl Dixon Tea) from Adagio Signature Fandom Blends is today’s tea!  That’s right it’s another #FanaticFriday Tea here at Sororitea Sisters!  This one is for the fans of The Walking Dead!

Season 7 of The Walking Dead premieres on October 23rd so we still have over a month to go before we get our fix.  In the meantime I thought I would tide you over with this tea blended by Chris Diaz.

When I initially bought this tea it was called Daryl Dixon but has since been re-named The Archer.  Either way I wanted to share my thoughts and feelings of this blend.  #FanaticFriday: The Archer Tea (Formerly Daryl Dixon Tea) from Adagio Signature Fandom Blends has ‘everything but the kitchen sink’ in there!  Okay – maybe not – but it has a LOT of ingredients!  There is a LOT going on here but it all seems to work!

I’m enjoying the flavored Yerba Mate base here but it has a bit more Hibiscus than I would like in one sitting.  But that doesn’t rip me away from this tea!  I also like that he used Green Tea in this one as well.  I think that the Ginseng counteracts the hibiscus a tad but maybe the addition of more ginseng and by using a bit less of the hibiscus this would have been (even more) my speed.  There is a LOT of citrus here and I like that but it almost encourages the hibiscus to shine more – almost like a pier pressure type situation.

Having said that…I do like The Archer Tea (Formerly Daryl Dixon Tea) from Adagio Signature Fandom Blends.  I prefer it iced.  I think this is a wonderful tribute to the character and the series and can’t wait for Season 7 of The Walking Dead!

#FanaticFriday: Stargate(SG1) Dr Daniel Jackson from Adagio Fandom Signature Blends

I’ve been going thru Stargate withdrawals and just might have to go back and re-watch all of them AGAIN from the beginning until then I can reminisce  with this tea…Stargate(SG1) Dr Daniel Jackson from Adagio Fandom Signature Blends.  Won’t you join us in celebrating #FanaticFriday: Stargate(SG1) Dr Daniel Jackson from Adagio Fandom Signature Blends is the tea I have chose for the occasion.  Dr Daniel Jackson was one of my favorite characters!

This Stargate(SG1) Dr Daniel Jackson from Adagio Fandom Signature Blends is something I have had in my personal stash for a while and just noticed recently that it is one of the signature adagio blends from Jeffrey McWhirter.  The tea gods must have been talking to me because Woodie (Jeffrey’s partner) and I have been chatting about possibly featuring some of their signature blends in the near future!  Heck YES!  Especially if Stargate(SG1) Dr Daniel Jackson from Adagio Fandom Signature Blends is any hint of what is to come!

Stargate(SG1) Dr Daniel Jackson from Adagio Fandom Signature Blends infuses to a very dark brown which I LOVE.  The aroma is very chai-like with the addition of cocoa nibs, cocoa nibs, and more cocoa nibs!  The flavor is an enhanced chai taste on tongue with your standard chai flavors paired with slightly sweet, creamy, and cocoa hints.  Okay…there are more than just HINTS of cocoa there is quite a bit and I think that is pair of why this blend shines!

Stargate(SG1) Dr Daniel Jackson from Adagio Fandom Signature Blends is much like the character I adore on the show… strong, sensitive, geeky, smart, and intriguing!

Really Root Beer from Nelson’s Tea

Heart-crest-logo-negative

 TeaEqualsBliss’s Review:

Oh!  Look!  It’s Really Root Beer from Nelson’s Tea!  This is an herbal tisane and I really like it!  If you have read my reviews in the past I am very persnickety about herbals.  To give you an idea of what this tastes like it’s basically a non-carbonated Root Beer flavor.  The aroma is what really smacks you in the face right off the bat but the flavor on the tongue isn’t too shabby either!

I have tried Really Root Beer from Nelson’s Tea piping hot but it makes me wonder what it would be like iced.  Based on what the package says – if you are doing it iced – you are to use double the amount and steep for 8 to 10 minutes and then pour over ice.  I’m betting it’s pretty solid!

I’m chalking up this Really Root Beer from Nelson’s Tea in my ‘herbals I enjoy’ cabinet!

Taster’s Review:

It’s been too long since my last REALLY GREAT Pumpkin Chai and this Pumpkin Spice Chai from The Tea Spot is just what I was looking for!  Sure the ingredients include black tea, ginger root, cardamom, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, black pepper, pumpkin flavoring…but it’s much more than that.  The flavors meshed well together.  Everything was powerful but nothing overpowered anything else.  The pumpkin flavoring was outstanding!  I make special note of this because I have had some really questionable pumpkin flavors in tea over the years but this was among the best I have had!

Pumpkin Spice Chai from The Tea Spot provided me with a complete tea experience from beginning to end!  From the moment I opened the bag until long after my last sip!  It smelled wonderful, it tasted exceptional, the quality of everything was top notch, and when I was done with my last sip I craved more!  Needless to say Pumpkin Spice Chai from The Tea Spot didn’t last long in my tea stash!
