A delicious blend of oolong tea with Vermont maple syrup, orange peel, and almond essence. I was immediately excited to try this! It sounds more like a fall blend because of the maple, but that’s okay. It’s funny because my favorite season are fall and winter and that rings true in the flavors I prefer.
I like pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, maple, almond flavors and those tend to come out more in the fall and winter. But because I love them so much, i’ll drink them anytime if they’re available!
I’ve really been happy with all my tea blends that I received in my Plum Deluxe order and I am going to be ordering again. This blend, in particular, exceeded my expectations. My first sip was unsweetened, but I decided to add some agave for effect and it definitely brought out all the flavors more. The oolong base here is very smooth and subtle and is the perfect stage for this myriad of comfort-flavors.
The first flavor I could taste was the maple, which was almost creamy. The nutty and sweet almond came out towards the end of the sip and left a nutty almond taste in my mouth. The orange was undetected by me, but I did not have a problem with that as I am not always fond of citrus. This blend both smelled and tasted like pancakes drizzled with maple syrup and sprinkled with almond slices. I definitely recommend it, anytime of the year!

Sometimes, we just need a pick-me-up — the kind of tea that gives us a gentle hug, a firm pat on the back and says, keep going. That’s what inspired us to create our Pick Me Up blend tea — it’ll put a spring in your step and give your creative spirit a boost.
We start with an earthy Formosa Oolong tea from Taiwan. We add a pinch of orange peel and rooibos tea as well as natural almond extract and real Vermont maple syrup (yes, really!). The result is a smooth, balanced tea that is both rich and sweet while at the same time being crisp and earthy. With the lower caffeine levels, it is wonderful any time of day you need a pick-me-up — from getting out of bed on the right foot to an afternoon emotional reset.

On Wisconsin from A Quarter To Tea. . .
This tea caught my eye due to the description of cheesecake and honey. Doesn’t that sound heavenly? This is an Oolong blend and it contains REAL pieces of graham crackers. The Oolong itself is actually a little bit more floral than I would have thought. However, the floral aspect works well with the honey. The taste of cheesecake is not something I would have picked out initially, but thinking about it now I do taste it lingering once the sip is gone
Opposed to what you would think when hearing the description of this yummy blend, i’m not quite sure if I would classify it as a dessert blend. It isn’t overly sweet or anything. This is still one that could be drunk in the morning before work or for a quick pick-me-up during that mid-afternoon slump. My favorite part was definitely seeing the pieces of graham crackers in the blend, I think that that is the first time I’ve seen it! I also enjoyed how no one ingredient took over the entire cup, they all blended nicely and were subtle. I would definitely recommend to give this blend, and a plethora of other blends from A Quarter to Tea a try. I think all of their tea blends are well done and very creative! I haven’t met one that I truly dislike.

Raining Weather Calls for a Rose Oolong from Indias Tea. . .
Today is one of those days where a rose oolong was just what the doctor ordered. It has been raining non stop since Friday and we are starting to experience water in the basement and seeing flooding in our community. So as the rain continues and the thunderstorms start up, a flavored oolong sounds like perfection.
This particular Rose Oolong is from Indias Tea. The dry leaf of this blend is intoxicating. Fresh floral notes fill the air while this tea starts to steep and creates a gorgeous blend that I couldn’t wait to check out.
Gorgeous sweet floral notes mingle marvelously with that familiar oolong flavor that I can always count on. This tea aromas translate into this wonderful floral flavor. As the tea settles and cools, those lovely rose notes develop more and more. Such a warm, soothing, and comforting tea on such a spring rainy day.

Basil Lemonade Oolong from Pekoe Sip House. . . . .
Words cannot express my LOVE for this incredible wonder of a flavored Oolong. The tea I’m referring to is Basil Lemonade Oolong from Pekeo Sip House and it’s absolutely AMAZING!
It’s rare that I find a flavored Oolong that I adore so much I LONG for my next cup but Basil Lemonade Oolong is that Oolong!
It’s composed of half-fermented Chinese oolong tea, basil, lemon granules, natural lemon oil, marigold blossoms. Sure I find ALL of those ingredients but the secret weapon is the lemon granules! For some reason these lemon granules were like crack to me. They were SO ADDICTING and worked SO VERY WELL in this tea!
It’s light and refreshing. It’s almost creamy with a lemon-sugar twist to it, too! Pekeo Sip House’s Basil Lemonade Oolong tea is made with half-fermented tea that blends beautifully with basil, lemon granules, natural lemon oil, and marigold blossoms. Everything works in this loose leaf blend. Everything!

Dark Iris from August Uncommon Tea. . . . .
I have a beef with the iris family. My irises didn’t come up last spring. After several years of faithful blooming, they just gave up the ghost. Literally zero emerged. I have no idea why. I’m irritated about it. There was a huge hole in my garden. Luckily, it was off to the side, but still.
This tea is called “Dark Iris,” which reflects irises, and my feelings about them at the moment.
According to August Uncommon, it’s a “rich oolong with peach, pistachio, and lime” that “feels like Georgia O’Keefe flowers.”
The primary flavor I taste here is the peach, made spiky and edgy by the lime. Yum. Whoever came up with this is pretty smart. This is really well-balanced. I wish they’d release a Sprite/Sierra Mist with some peach in it. I’d drink it. There’s also some deep/spiciness, which might be the lime, but I think is the oolong and maybe some spices. After I’ve swallowed, there’s a very faint hint of floweriness. Rose is an ingredient. I could be imagining it, though, just as I’m imagining the nuttiness. I think there’s a tiny bit of cream, which could be “nut” or “sweetness of flower” or “just my imagination.”
Either way, this is a really great, unique blend that I recommend you try!

Description
The iris is a flower long revered for its majesty. It has been a favorite of royalty and artists for centuries. One of the most intriguing depictions of the iris is found in the graceful curves and vibrance of Georgia O’Keefe’s paintings. The aroma of this tea is flamboyant, its texture silky. It has the unmistakable scent of iris: an accord of lime blossom and creamy vanilla. At first, the bright acidity of peach and lime dominate. The next sip deepens with the velvetiness of roasted oolong. Peach and rose are the notes that linger. Adding milk introduces pistachio and white chocolate flavors. Chilling this tea deepens its earthiness to bring out roasted peach and dirty rose notes. An experience as mysterious and elegant as the intoxicating spring flower.
A tea perfect for afternoons and evenings of luxurious reverie.
