With having such a stressful work week, I grabbed this tea hoping it would be comforting and soothing.
First thing I noticed was the amazing dry scent the leaves had. Tropical with a hint of strawberry.
Brewed up and allowed to steep for about 4 minutes, this tea yielded a gorgeous brew that was a lovely golden color. I allowed the tea to cool for a few minutes and sat back, holding the cup, enjoying the moment.
My first sip yielded a faintly flavored green tea that left me wanting another sip. There was also a mouth drying factor as well. What was really nice about this tea blend is the mix of green teas are the star, not the additional flavorings. The additional inclusions and flavorings are a nice side note that subtly give a sweet factor that heightens the somewhat vegetal notes that the green tea yields. This is an extremely interesting tea that is subtle and typically not one that would grab my attention but I can’t stop drinking the cuppa.
Overall, I think this tea would be a wonderful tea for someone that is looking for that subtle hint of flavor but really looking for a solid green tea. With this tea having a mix of different green teas, a solid green tea flavor is definitely what you get. I could just imagine that this tea would be dynamite as a shaken iced tea with a spring of mint or fruit slice.
So far I’ve had a few Gypsy Soul Tea offerings and they have all been pretty good. This one may be my least favorite so far but I’m liking the sound of this tea as a shaken iced tea. Maybe I just need to experiment a bit more!

Spritz of Glitz from Tea & Tins
Whenever I’m looking around for a new tea to add to my collection, if I see sprinkles-its like I can’t click fast enough to get that tea blend into my cart!
This is exactly what happened when I came across Spritz of Glitz, a tea from a company that I’m really starting to enjoy. This tea is chalk full of pear and peach pieces and silver and gold balls all on a bed of green tea. I’m also noticing a few rose petals here and there. Quite a striking dry leaf mix for sure.
First whiff of the dry leaves from Spritz of Glitz and there is for sure a stone fruit vibrant note. There is also an almost candy fragrance as well. I wasn’t so sure about the candy notes but I really wanted those stone fruits to come across after steeping.
Brewed up by the recommended parameters on the pkg-176F and allowed to steep for about 3 minutes, a gorgeous golden liquor awaited me to try. Took my first sip and was completely taken over by those ripe stone fruit notes I was really yearning for along with a buttery richness and slight vegetal note. This tea really works well and doesn’t come across as candy while enjoying. Which I was afraid of. Just the right amount of fruitiness paired with a rich green base. I could almost compare this tea to having an almost wine like feel with the peach and pear notes.
If you enjoy flavored green teas, this one may be right up your alley!
I came across Tea and Tins while perusing the web for a new flavored tea company to try. Tea and Tins was created by Lise because she was frustrated with the lack of original tea tins in America. They offer quite an array of unique tins, which I am now a proud owner of, and teas that appear to be fresh and unique. With flavored tea offerings like PB & J, Hot Mama, and Thunderstorm-this company has my interests peaked. I instantly put together an order.
A really lovely solid green flavored tea that is perfect for anytime. I would love to try this tea as a cold brew and plan on doing just that. This may be a tea I ask Santa for more of this upcoming Christmas!

Something Blue from Pin Tea Shop
First of all, can I just say how much I adore the name of this tea company! PinTea Shop. Love the pinup look the labels have. I’ve always loved that vintage era of pin up girls and this company’s labels are just simply gorgeous!
This lovely blend is a brilliant mix of blueberries, green tea, and white tea. When you look at the dry leaf, you can see where the “Something Blue” concept comes to play-lovely white and green leaves with pops of blue.
Brewed up with a delicate hand so I wouldn’t oversteep, I allowed this tea to steep for about 3 minutes and to cool for another moment or two. Took my first sip and was ready to be greeted with fruity pops of blueberry. Which wasn’t what happened. Instead I was greeted with a sultry romantic profile that was full of gorgeous white floral notes, slightly hay like flavors, with a background of berry that is light and done with a delicate touch.
With this tea being Something Blue, I assumed the blueberry would just dominate the rest of the flavors and that did not happen at all. I’m crazy impressed with how very gentle this tea is with the flavorings. The tea bases really shine and there is a mystery with every sip because each sip is different in its very own way. This is one of those tea blends that really captures your attention and demands more time with you. Highly memorable, enjoyable, and one that I’ll reach for whenever I’m in the mood for a lightly flavored tea.

Summertime Sunset from Akron House Tea Co.
Imagine a large crisp cold glass of a lemonade strawberry concoction with an orange twist. Now imagine this mixture of flavors with a green tea base, smooth rich and buttery. That is what you get when you drink Summertime Sunset from Akron House Tea Co.
Akron House Tea Co. is a newer company to me. I’ve tried a few of their teas and have fallen in love with them. So far I’ve had nothing but crisp clean well balanced flavor. I will admit that I think this one is my favorite that I’ve tried.
First off, this tea has a gorgeous bright citrus berry aroma. Literally the aroma makes you drool. I steeped the tea up with water prepped per the recommendations on the pkg. A few moments later, the brew was ready for me to enjoy.
And enjoy I did. Devour may be a better word. This is one of those teas where I just walk around with my mug and don’t even put it down. The first notes you are greeted with are these strawberry citrus flavors that mingle and play nicely with the smooth silky green tea base. The hibiscus in the blend provides a needed contrast with a hint of tartness to calm the lemon tang that is present.
Bright, balanced, vibrant and popping with flavors! Perfectly named and perfectly blended!
I brewed this tea up hot and can only imagine how dynamite this blend would be as a cold brew. Being a huge green tea fan, this one was perfect for me. But I can see this being one of those teas that can be enjoyed by all!

#FanaticFriday: Timey Wimey Tea from Because UR Priceless
Being a HUGE Whovian, I couldn’t wait to check this blend out- Timey Wimey from BecauseURpriceless instantly impressed me. The packaging was superb and I loved the whole look of the tea itself. Pops of bright blue on a bed of black tea and little sparks of light orange.
But as I mentioned in my earlier post today, I had some hesitation because . .earl grey blends and I have not been the bestest of friends. And that is exactly what this blend is-a mix of earl grey tea and vanilla. But first whiff of this tea and I knew we would be best friends.
Gorgeous smooth vanilla notes mix perfectly with the light tones of the earl grey base. I couldn’t stop smelling the dry leaves. One of those blends that you want to bottle into a candle. I was hoping that those notes I was smelling would translate into a wonderful cuppa.
Set about prepping my tea pot up with freshly boiled water and allowed the two 1/2 scoops of tea to steep for 3 minutes. Took my first sip and . .sigh. . .I’m in love.
Rich luxurious vanilla tones that are smooth and decadent start the sip off with a hint of the bergamot here and there with a citrus finish. The black tea base really lays way for the rich flavors to really take the spotlight. Being one that is not a huge bergamot fan, I appreciated the hints here and there but not dominating the brew. The citrus notes were the perfect ending. Each sip is as smooth as the last, even as the tea cools.
I can only imagine how dynamite this tea would be as a cold brew and plan on trying it. This is a tea I’m finding myself craving through out the day. One of those teas I think I’m going to need to get a stock of for work and home.
One of those perfectly blended earl grey teas and one that is a perfect dedication to the Doctor! .
