Taster’s Review:
This tea was so intriguing. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a tea for me.
This blend has so many uniquely different types of tea going on that I think it actually hurts the blend. The Lapsang Souchong absolutely dominates the rest of the tea and all you really get is a smoky black tea taste. The caramel, genmaicha, and hoijcha are lost in the blend. I do like Lapsang Souchong but this one I just really didn’t care for. It was an overload of smokiness.
Maybe if the Lapsang Souchong was taken down some, then the rest of the other blends could pop out and shine. Or maybe if the Lapsang was taken out completely. Now that would be a tea I would be all about.
The other unfortunate issue with this tea was that this tea and a sample tea were shipped in a regular letter style envelope without any padding or tissue paper to protect the tea. A lot of the tea was crushed and to even get the tea out of the envelope was hard. The Fresh Books tea was a 50g package and it was a pretty big package. The sample tea I think was protected by the 50g package and was completely fine. I’m not sure if this is why the blend tasted the way it did. The boyfriend had the sample pack (Cream of Early Grey) and really liked it.
This Etsy store showcases some fun sounding teas including fandom teas. I may check them out later or even send them a message asking if they can create this same blend without the smokey black tea. I think that blend would be amazing!

Taster’s Review:
I love chamomile teas. I drink a lot of them too. At night there really isn’t anything more soothing than to drink a nice glass of chamomile tea, relieving the stress of your day.
I picked up a couple teas from this adorable shop on Etsy. This was the second one I’ve reviewed for SororiTea Sisters and this one I am extremely pleased with. This tea originally has lavender in it. I have yet to find a lavender tea that I really like. So I emailed the owner and she was able to remove that from the blend. Score one for Customer Service!
I first had this one hot the other night with my boyfriend. We liked it, but it honestly tasted like a lot of chamomile teas. The chamomile really took over. The rest of the flavors just played to the side a bit and created a nice pleasing quality to it. Overall I did like it, but I can’t say it would stand out among other chamomile herbal teas.
So I dropped the tin in my work backpack and figured I’d try it at work. This is where the tea that was the wallflower tea really stood out to me! Iced this is fantastic! It tastes like a sweet lemon dessert with hints of mint. There is also a creaminess to it. I am loving it. I think iced is the one to go with this one. I recommend this one for a tasty afternoon treat or even in the morning if you are going caffeine free. Glad I ordered two tins of this!

Taster’s Review:
As much as I try to like teas that have red rooibos in them, that weird medicinal flavor just destroys teas for me. I really wish I liked them. There are some amazing sounding teas that sound so good and then I see that they have red rooibos in them and its all over for me. Green rooibos on the other hand is fantastic.
I steeped this one up in my One Touch Breville (212F-2 scoops-2 cups of water) and was excited to try this one hoping I could see past the red roobios. Unfortunately that isn’t the case.
The ginger and peach are the front flavors that you taste and smell when you first start to sip. But that after taste is that weird red rooibos flavor that I just can’t get past. I was really hoping that the peach, ginger, and apricot flavors would mask the red rooibos. Sadly. . no. The flavors that you taste are really good. This tea without the red rooibos blended in, I think, would be amazing and very good. There are no hints of articial-ness with this one and everything tastes fresh and tasty.
If you like red rooibos and a ginger style tea with a touch of fruit, I could see this being a winner for some. It just wasn’t the case for me. Can’t like ’em all.

Taster’s Review:
I have really bad allergies. I take over the counter medication for it because that seems to work the best. I seem to have really bad side effects when I am prescribed something. I have always been curious about herbs and how they help people with different ailments. I researched a little bit and found that stinging nettle can be used as a anti-histamine. I took a gander around and stumbled upon an adorable store on Etsy that sold a stinging nettle tea and tulsi (which also aids with sinus issues). Worked with the owner to tweak a few things on my order and away I went.
This is a different blend. I can’t say I have had a lot of the herbs in this tea before. Tulsi, anise hyssop, lemon verbena, stinging nettles, and roselle hibiscus. The tea itself has a savory smell and taste to it. It made me think of a pasta dish like Italian Seasoning or a savory pasta dish??? This stumped me as well. Can’t say that I have ever had a tea remind me of something like this before. Vegetal? Sure. Malty with dark chocolate notes? Absolutely. Just not pasta. I swear it tastes like my boyfriend’s amazing lasagna.
I don’t really get any sweetness out of the tea and with a name like Nectar Blend you would think there would be a sweetness to the tea. I drink a lot of chamomile and herbal teas. This one took me by surprise. Regardless I am still enjoying the tea. I guess the savory side of this just is throwing me off a bit.
I might add in some honey and will see what happens then or maybe even something like sea salt to see what other savory flavors pop.
And to the medicinal side of this particular herbal blend. . . .I haven’t noticed anything yet but I can say that drinking this tea has been a fun experience and I look forward to more time with it.
