Earl Grey from Virginia Tea Company. . . . .

I knew I was going to love this tea as soon as I opened the packet and smelled it. It has the familiar floral scent of Earl Grey teas, but it was much milder.

I have had some really delicious Earl Grey teas, and some that are too overpowering with the floral notes. I usually have my black teas with a little coconut milk and some raw sugar, but today I was out of sugar. So I brewed the tea and added a little almond milk. I expected it to be a little meh with no sweetener, but I am happy to report I was wrong about the meh.

It was delicious with just the almond milk. The floral notes were there, but subtle. It had almost a toasted flavor, with just a hint of floral. It was a perfect cup to help gently wake me up on this cold, blustery morning.

This is like Earl Grey for beginners, and I mean that in the best way. It’s subtle and gentle, not over the top and aggressive. It feels very sophisticated, and as I breathed in the scent and closed my eyes,

I pictured myself somewhere fancy having a cup of tea and stimulating conversation. If you like earl grey tea, I can’t recommend this blend from Virginia tea Co. enough!

Signature Tea from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co. . . . A Take on Earl Grey

When a brand has a signature product it HAS TO BE GOOD, right? Well, Signature Tea from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co is superb! This was the tea Kent & Sussex created for the Grand Hotel Brighton! They say it’s a fresh and vibrant take on Earl Grey! And I would have to agree! If you are someone who isn’t sure about Earl Grey because of the POW-in-your-face EG flavoring then you will have to check this offering out! WHY? Because it’s so much more than just a stereo-typical Earl!

Signature Tea from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co is a medium strength and medium caffeinated tea but it’s actually made up of black tea from several different regions including Tinsukia, Assam, India. Darjeeling, India. Keemun, Anhui, and China.

The citrus offers a wondrous plumpy orange flavor that I seem to crave more of while drinking. There are your nods to Earl but it’s not as strong as some other Earls tend to be and with the blend of flavors it all works swimmingly! I can totally see and taste why Kent & Sussex calls this their Signature Tea! I can’t say I have anything comparable! Signature Tea from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co is a memorable cuppa!

Buckingham Palace English Favorite from TeaLeafs. . . . .

Buckingham Palace English Favorite from TeaLeafs is a surprisingly interesting black and green tea blended base with additional flavors to please and tease the senses including Jasmine blossoms, Cornflower petals, Natural flavors.

It’s quite aromatic but a sturdy based tea that stands up to the flavors nicely. The black tea is the stronger of the flavors followed by the green tea. The floral flavors come into play shortly after that.

At first sip I thought it was like a crazy cousin to an Earl Grey tasting tea but it’s more than that. Maybe more like that crazy cousin and his new girlfriend at a holiday party of sorts. Whatever the additions or differences it seemed to work well here.

I really liked this because it was a stronger based tea. A great way to start your day or if you are in the need of a pick-me-up in the middle of the afternoon during that midday lull. Either way – I find Buckingham Palace English Favorite from TeaLeafs pretty spectacular. I understand why it says English Favorite in part of the product name! 2 thumbs up from me on this one!

Winter Morning Earl Grey from The Sunshine Cottage

Some of you may already know that I live in the snow belt area of the north east part of the United States. I’m originally from Buffalo, too, which means I’m NOT a stranger to snow and LOTS of it!

I have been drinking Winter Morning Earl Grey from Sunshine Cottage on and off for about a month now. As I write this I am finishing up the bag of tea that I have. It’s ironic because today is our first significant winter storm of the year. Some say we could get 4 to 6 feet of snow in some areas in the next 4 days. I hope that isn’t the case.

Regardless I have the last little bit of Winter Morning Earl Grey from Sunshine Cottage to keep me company for one more day!

I’m a sucker for flavored Earl Greys. I have mentioned that once or twice (or a hundred) times before but I will gladly say it again! There is something special when a tea blended takes the time to go above and beyond your traditional Earl Grey Flavoring and give it an extra ‘sumpin’, sumpin’.

This particular flavored Earl has that stereotypical EG base to start and then they added extra floral notes, creamy vanilla flavors, and a touch of cinnamon to it, too! It’s pretty incredible! The vanilla is a touch more powerful than the cinnamon and I wouldn’t change the flavor ratio at all!

There is just something about this flavored Earl Grey that I adore and the only thing I can come up with is the pure genius of the flavor combo and ratio blending behind it. It’s truly unique, delicious, and a tea I will remember for a long time!

Check this out! Earl Grey, Hot from Geeky Teas

Earl Grey, Hot from Geeky Teas was a tea that another sister has already reviewed here at SororiTea Sisters but I enjoy a sturdy cuppa EG so I thought I would also throw my 2 cents worth in!

Earl Grey is one of the most recognizable flavored teas the world has seen and Geeky Teas came up with their own take on it with Earl Grey, Hot. For those of you who are Star Trek fans you may remember Picard and his famous quote and Earl Grey, Hot from Geeky Teas is a nod to that.

As for the flavor of Earl Grey, Hot from Geeky Teas…it’s what I would expect in terms of your ‘given’ Earl Grey Flavor but it is a hefty one. Geeky Teas didn’t skimp on the EG flavor that is for sure! And much appreciated! Sometimes I really just want a STRONG Earl, ya know!? Earl Grey, Hot from Geeky Teas did the trick!
