Buckingham Palace English Favorite from TeaLeafs. . . . .

Buckingham Palace English Favorite from TeaLeafs is a surprisingly interesting black and green tea blended base with additional flavors to please and tease the senses including Jasmine blossoms, Cornflower petals, Natural flavors.

It’s quite aromatic but a sturdy based tea that stands up to the flavors nicely. The black tea is the stronger of the flavors followed by the green tea. The floral flavors come into play shortly after that.

At first sip I thought it was like a crazy cousin to an Earl Grey tasting tea but it’s more than that. Maybe more like that crazy cousin and his new girlfriend at a holiday party of sorts. Whatever the additions or differences it seemed to work well here.

I really liked this because it was a stronger based tea. A great way to start your day or if you are in the need of a pick-me-up in the middle of the afternoon during that midday lull. Either way – I find Buckingham Palace English Favorite from TeaLeafs pretty spectacular. I understand why it says English Favorite in part of the product name! 2 thumbs up from me on this one!

Check this out! Earl Grey, Hot from Geeky Teas

Earl Grey, Hot from Geeky Teas was a tea that another sister has already reviewed here at SororiTea Sisters but I enjoy a sturdy cuppa EG so I thought I would also throw my 2 cents worth in!

Earl Grey is one of the most recognizable flavored teas the world has seen and Geeky Teas came up with their own take on it with Earl Grey, Hot. For those of you who are Star Trek fans you may remember Picard and his famous quote and Earl Grey, Hot from Geeky Teas is a nod to that.

As for the flavor of Earl Grey, Hot from Geeky Teas…it’s what I would expect in terms of your ‘given’ Earl Grey Flavor but it is a hefty one. Geeky Teas didn’t skimp on the EG flavor that is for sure! And much appreciated! Sometimes I really just want a STRONG Earl, ya know!? Earl Grey, Hot from Geeky Teas did the trick!

Earl Grey from Metolius Artisan Tea

I love a good cuppa Earl. But I also like to pick out what makes an Earl Grey DIFFERENT, too! Today I have a WONDERFUL Earl Grey offering for you! It’s Earl Grey from Metolius Artisan Tea.

jarearlgreyFirst…what makes Earl Grey from Metolius Artisan Tea different? A few things. Metolius Tea combines three high-grade black teas from small production farmers in Yunnan, China, combined with genuine farm-direct Italian bergamot, pure Madagascar vanilla bean, and bachelor’s buttons.

What are Bachelor’s Buttons, you might ask? Well, I know I sure did ask. It’s a start shaped annual that is native to Europe and Asia. Their frilly blossoms shows in pale blues, purples, pinks and reds. They are also known as cornflowers. But they looked more vibrant purple/blue than most I have seen in other Earl Grey’s and even other teas. So that was one thing I had to make mention of in this review for sure! A little fun fact…Bachelor’s Buttons were discovered in the tomb of King Tutankhamen who died in 1340 B.C. The 1-1/2 inch blossoms were woven into a beautiful wreath and given to the King to aid in the afterlife. Tip of my hat to Planet Natural for that tidbit!

Next I have to mention that the tea leaves in Earl Grey from Metolius Artisan Tea are a gorgeous mishmash of shapes and sizes. Some are longer and winding and others are rolled. Magnificent!

Earl Grey from Metolius Artisan Tea is one of the more intensely flavored EGs I have ever had! So if you LOVE Earl or love to try different ones, like to see who has the biggest and the best when it comes to the more intensely flavored EGs I would HIGHLY recommend Earl Grey from Metolius Artisan Tea. It’s so good I am going to include it in one of my upcoming Top Tens…so be sure to be on the look out for that! Yup! Two thumbs up on this tea from me…a true diamond in the rough when it comes to Earl Grey’s!!! YUM!

Mighty Organic Earl Grey Black Tea from Tea Leaf Co

This tea really lives up to its name — it’s super-mighty!

I don’t know whether I am using the word “mighty” because I was primed to think it from the label, or whether I would have used the word “mighty” on my own. Packaging and word choice is vital.

“Mighty” is an Earl Grey with a TON of extra flavoring added. It’s like the Kool-Aid Man breaking through walls. “OH YEAH,” he yells. “BERGAMOT.”

“Oh,” he adds. “And caffeine.”

Between the flavor and the caffeine, this is a total wake-up tea. Perfect for getting you moving on Monday mornings, especially. (As I’m writing this.) ZING! GO GO MIGHTY TEA!

Luna Tea from Moongleam Tea Shoppe #VeganMoFo2016

Today’s prompt for Vegan MoFo is greyscale so I couldn’t resist posting about an earl grey tea!

Luna Tea from Moongleam Tea. I’m not going to lie…I love the name of the tea as well as the name of the tea company! My love for this tea goes beyond the names, folks! The ingredients include Black Tea, Lavender, Chamomile, Bergamot, and Basil. You may already know that I cannot get enough black tea in my life! I start each day with at least 1 (or 5). The Lavender is strong in this flavored black tea but I like it! Chamomile is one of the ingredients I could normally go without but if done right I can enjoy. Let’s just say that the Chamomile in Luna Tea from Moongleam Teas is done right! The Bergamot offers the citrus, juiciness I was craving. And the Basil seems to even everything out nicely.

With all of this in mind I have to say that this blend of flavors awakened all of the senses and put a smile on my face, too! It’s very calming and makes for a peaceful cuppa. I found this to also be a comforting tea – much like a comfort food would be comforting on a stressful day – or a cold fall day – both of which I have been faced with lately. Luna Tea from Moongleam Teas is a pure delight!

This classically crafted tea is one of the first blends I ever created.
Smooth bergamot, coupled with chamomile, black tea, lavender, and basil, gives this tea a punctuating freshness. I have always loved Earl Grey because of the Bergamot in it, so I tweaked it to make it even better!
