SipsBy introduced me to Teeccino, a company that specializes in coffee alternatives and roasted herbal teas. More than just roasted herbal teas, they seem to focus on dandelion herbals teas which is an ingredient I have yet to see before. In addition to dandelion root, Teeccino’s Dandelion Mocha Mint is made of carob, chicory, dates, almonds, natural mocha flavor, cocoa powder, peppermint leaf, figs, and peppermint oil. It is also classified as a “Medium Roast” which again is not something I have seen in reference to tea before.
Flavorwise this is both good and bad. The front of the sip is very herbal and has a lot of chicory flavor, which I do not love but others might enjoy. That chicory then smooths out into the cocoa richness that ends with a cooling burst of peppermint. In the aftertaste, under the peppermint, the chicory lingers. Again, if you like chicory, this could be great but if you are like me and don’t like chicory than it is not so great.
All in all, I am surprised by how rich and flavorful this tea is. I don’t personally love all the flavors in this cup but I think the medium roasting of this tea really gives it the vibrant coffee-like profile that could be great for those who are using tea to try and drink less coffee. I also think the cocoa flavor here is a lot more distinct than I have tasted in a while. In fact, it is one of the better cocoa mint teas I have tried in a while. Not sure what the dandelion contributed here which is disappointing but it was definitely a fun tea to try.

Detox Herbal Supplement with Green Tea from Lipton
What a name! Detox Herbal Supplement with Green Tea from Lipton. Goodness. What this tea really should be called is amazing tasting Detox tea that you’ll want to drink that isn’t overwhelmingly spiced with ginger and is one of the best grapefruit teas around! Yes, that’s right. . . Grapefruit Detox tea. . .
I am one of those that is constantly on the look out for great tasting detox teas. Not because of the whole losing weight detox plan but because I have found that detox teas with spices like nettle and yes ginger, can actually help me feel better. But so many of those teas make you want to just gulp the tea to get it over with instead of experiencing and really enjoying the tea.
Recently, we were asked to review a new Wellness line of teas from Lipton. I will be 100% honest here. Lipton is the tea I grew up on and still drink it from time to time at my parents house. But beyond that, I don’t drink a whole ton of Lipton products. So when these teas showed up at my door, I wasn’t sure what to expect. What ended up happening, is that I fell in love with a Lipton tea!
Brewed up with water prepped right under boiling, I steeped this tea sachet for about 4 minutes. While the tea was steeping, I kept sticking my nose in the steam to get the wonderful aromas that were omitting from my cuppa. Right away, you can pick up the grapefruit essential oil. Such a lovely fresh and clean smell. I couldn’t wait for the tea to cool so I could take a sip.
First sip in and my search for a grapefruit has been satisfied. This tea is delicious. Grapefruit and green tea are the major flavors you pick up and towards the end of each sip is this really lovely herbal finish. There is a sweet, tart, vegetal, and herbal contrasting play each and every time you take a sip of this tea.
Super happy with this tea and especially with how this tea is in a easy tea bag form. I was even happier when I was in my local grocery store the other day and this tea was sitting on the shelf.
Now I have a great detox tea with nettle and dandelion root along with a grapefruit tea that makes me smile. I’m a happy tea loving gal!

Roasted Dandelion Root from Traditional Medicinals. . . . .
I have been drinking Yogi teas spiced dandelion tea and really enjoying it. I decided to give this roasted dandelion tea a try. I was a little nervous that I wouldn’t enjoy it without the spicy flavor. I had no reason to worry, this tea is really delicious on it’s own. It has a delicious roasted, nutty flavor with just a slight bitterness. As a former coffee drinker, this tea kind of fills that void. It has a little more depth than other teas and kind of reminds me of coffee. But it is caffeine free, so it can be enjoyed at any time of the day.
Dandelion tea is so good for you. It helps detox the liver, and it is really good for digestion. I have noticed a big improvement with my digestion since I started drinking it. I try to get in one to two cups a day when possible.
If you were or are a coffee lover, I imagine you would really enjoy this tea. I think the key to cutting out a lot of the bitterness from the dandelion is roasting it. It tempers the bitterness and just gives it a delicious nutty taste. I have mine with a little bit of sugar and lately I’ve been using a vegan hazelnut creamer which compliments the nuttiness so well. I especially enjoy this tea when I’m dreaming of coffee and wishing I hadn’t given it up.
I’m really glad I’ve been expanding my tea collection. I used to only drink green tea, and making the decision to cut back on my caffeine consumption has really made me get brave and experiment and I am so happy, and my body is too!

Dandelion Caramel Nut from Teeccino. . . . .
I first tried teeccino’s vanilla nut and fell in love. So, of course I had to try the caramel nut flavor. I really don’t know how teeccino does it, but they somehow make this delicious, caffeine free herbal tea that has the body and oomph of coffee. I’ve heard die hard coffee drinkers say they just can’t get into tea because it’s too much like dirty water. As someone who was a serious coffee drinker for years, I understand their feelings. It took me a bit of time to adjust and fall in love with tea myself.
This tea is made for those people. It is so satisfying in that unique coffee way. And it has such natural, delicious sweet flavor that very little sweetener is needed. I can taste both caramel and nuts in this brew. I love it so much. It’s actually become my favorite thing to drink in the morning. Especially as the weather is cooling down. It’s in the cooler months that I get tempted to have coffee. It’s just so soothing, and the pick me up is nice too. But now I have a cup of this with a little coconut milk and it’s better than any latte I would pay for.
Dandelion tea also has many health benefits. It also contains calcium, magnesium, iron, and vitamins B and C. Plain dandelion tea can be a bit bitter, so this is such a tasty way to get some health benefits.

White tea is well known for its significant levels of antioxidants and is becoming more popular in weight loss programs by helping to block the absorption of fat. Taster’s Review:
When I saw Dandelion White Tea from Nature’s Tea Leaf I nearly squeed and I KNEW I HAD to have it!
I love dandelions, yes that’s right love them! I will not turn this review into the myriad of reasons why I love them but lets just say this, I love them so much I have a tattoo of one on my ankle with the dandelion roots going right onto my foot. Dandelions are wonderful gifts of nature.
With that said … This tea … it tastes just like buttery sweet simmered veggies. It reminds me of my veggies from my stir fry before I add one of the many sauces I usually add.
This tea is not bitter as one may fear or think.
It really tastes just like a succulent green tea! Buttery, savory in some ways with herbal type flavors throughout. There is also a slight taste of fenugreek as well. The lingering after taste is reminiscent of avocado. Specifically the part of the avocado that is very close to the skin, a little earthier than the heart of the avocado.
I am so happy to have found that Nature’s Tea Leaf has this tea and will even say, regardless of my love of dandelion, is one of the better white teas I have had in a very long time. I almost said “flavored” white teas but its not even flavored which makes it all the better! Its a beautiful thing what nature can capture in tea, then to add to that a wonderful, beneficial herb like dandelion which is simply not used in enough things, we have perfection!
I am fairly new to Nature’s Tea Leaf as a tea company but I have been looking over their site more since I obtained this tea along with two others from them and I have to say it is wonderful to feel this type of excitement over a tea company.
Dandelion White Tea is creamy in the mouthfeel with a velvet like feeling, more than silky, thicker than that. Its so very naturally sweet I would think adding sugar would make it just too sweet.
This tea calls for a steeping of up to five minutes and I steeped it for a good 4 minutes and got plenty of flavor. I only found one other review on this tea which is on the Nature’s Leaf Tea site and that person said it was bitter to them. While I suppose all of our taste buds are slightly different I have to say I do not detect even the slightest amount of bitterness in this tea. Perhaps this person’s experience was bitter due to over steeping or using the wrong water temp but I don’t want to assume that because this other reviewer may be quite knowledgeable about tea. The point is – remember water temp and steep times are important and I think even more so when dealing with delicate herbs like the dandelion.
So overall – being the dandelion lover that I am I am 100% approving of this lovely tea! Thank you Nature’s Tea Leaf for providing us with some very unusual and wonderful blends!
