Leaf Type: Black
Where to Buy: Georgia Tea Company
Company Description:
A Chinese black tea with dried cranberries and peach flavoring. For those cranberry lovers!
Taster’s Review:
This is a different flavor combination – I don’t typically see the flavors of cranberry and peach blended together, but, they work together quite well. The tartness of the cranberry is curbed just enough by the sweet, juicy flavor of the peach to make this a slightly tart, pleasantly sweet taste.
The black tea base is strong and tannic in this blend, and is just a little too astringent in my opinion. Not bitter, but, very dry – almost to the point of being what I would describe as starchy. It is not off-putting, though, and I am still quite enjoying this cup, but, if I were to change anything to make it MORE enjoyable, I would soften the astringency here.
The cranberry-peach combination is this tea’s saving grace. The cranberry is bright and bursting with flavor, and offers just a hint of berry tanginess complete with a pleasing berry tingle on the tongue. The peach is smooth and sweet, and hits the palate right up front, and lingers until the finish.
This tea is enjoyable served hot or cold – and perhaps it’s just today’s warm weather talking here, but I found it especially refreshing iced. All things considered, this is a very tasty tea.

Taster’s Review:
Mmmmmm… this is a very tasty flavored rooibos tea. The apple and cranberry combination is traditionally very autumnal, but, this tea tastes fresh and lively – and one that I’d be happy to enjoy year round!
The flavor is sweet – I’m not getting a whole lot of tartness that I expected from the cranberry… there is a slight tangy note, but nothing that I’d call sour or even tart. Since I’m not a particular fan of a strong tartness or sour tasting teas – I’m quite enjoying the lack of it in this tisane.
The apple essence is smooth and sweet tasting. It actually tastes a bit like apple juice with a little something extra… not quite one of the cran-apple juice, but, more like an apple-cranberry juice, if you know what I mean.
Overall, this is a very tasty rooibos blend. It is not readily available on the Design a Tea website as a signature blend, however, if it is one that you’d like to try, you can order two free samples and you can choose this combination if you’d like… or get creative and concoct your own tea blend (simply pay $1.00 for shipping, and you’ll receive 2 samples of your choice and a $2.00 off coupon for your next order).
If you do decide to create your own blend – and I hope you do! – please stop by and leave me a comment and let me know what you’ve tried… I love to hear your tasty ideas!

Tasters Review:
Last week I decided to visit my local Herb Store…they have a wonderful BULK Section there. LOTS of Spices and now more Loose Leaf Tea than before! They buy from Frontier Co-Op. I noticed a ‘new tea in town’. It was this Cranberry Orange Black Tea from Frontier Co-Op. So I decided to buy some of it to try it out.
I have tried several Frontier Co-Op Teas before. In the past I have found they sometimes lack creativity BUT they offer good quality teas and most of them organic. I really love the fact I can walk in and say “Can I have a cups-worth” or “a dollars worth” and walk away a happy camper…or in this case a happy tea drinker.
This is what I did this time around…I got about a cups-worth. I just I should specify…a measuring cup’s worth of a cup not just a teacup size-worth, that is.
This is a solid Black Tea with lovely Cranberry and Orange Flavors. I would say mostly Cranberry with hints of Orange. I really appreciate the fact that it’s still a true black tea with those flavors and it’s not all about the flavors and no black tea taste. So far, to date, this is probably one of my favorite teas from Frontier. Check them out if you can!
Cranberry Mango Green Tea from TeaGschwendner
Where To Buy: TeaGschwendner
Product Description:
Green teas from China and Ceylon with cranberry and mango bits
Tasters Review:
I have to admit I am fairly new to TeaGschwendner Teas. If it wasn’t for my fellow tea buddies and swappers I probably wouldn’t have been able to try them. I have found that I like most of their teas that I have tried so far. Cranberry Mango Green Tea is currently towards the top of the list of being one of my favorites so far!
I cannot express how awesome this tea smells! If a smell could be iridescent this would be it! I could smell cranberries but then a little mango…oddly enough I was getting an overwhelming grapefruit type smell from across the room…not sure why because it’s cranberry and mango but I am NOT complaining in the slightest because this is one of the most awesome smelling green teas I have ever smelled n my life! It doesn’t even lose that much of the smell once infused!
It’s a light yellow/green in color and very pleasing to my palate. It’s refreshing and juicy and thirst quenching and fun! The Cranberry and Mango couldn’t be dancing a more perfect dance with each other.
I like green tea, and I like Cranberry and Mango. Apparently this flavored green has all of the components and I was lucky enough to try it!
