Let’s be honest, the first thing that grabs you with this tea blend is literally the name of the tea company who sells it! The Goat Tea. An unusual name but one very fitting for this amazing tea company.
The Goat Tea reached out to the SororiTea Sisters and asked if we would be interested in reviewing their teas. After taking a moment to look at their site, I knew I had to learn more about this tea company.
First off, the logo. The logo is fantastic! A goat. . .with a monocle. . . drinking tea. . . I mean, how could you not? As someone whose parents used to raise goats, this whole idea of matching goats with tea just hits my heart and gives me all the feelings. To learn more about how the name and logo came together, check out this blog post and others about the journey.
Now on to the tea. . .The Goat Tea offers a few different and unique blends. I’m quite obsessed with their line up right now and I’m trying to drink down some of my current stash so I can justify getting more of their tea. (My current tea stash is literally in every nook and cranny of my kitchen and dining room area so I have made myself commit to drinking those delights first before getting any new ones.)
This particular blend of theirs is What’s Steepin’, a green tea blend. Apples, rosehips, organic green tea, hibiscus, carrots, lime pieces, sea salt, stevia along with a few other inclusions make up this blend. What first caught my eye was the orange pops of color from the carrots. I love tea blends that push the boundaries of what normally is in a tea and with this tea having carrots in it, this blend fits that bill.
Brewed up with fresh prepped water per the package recommendations (212F), I allowed the tea to steep for right around 5 minutes. All the while enjoying the fresh tart and lime aromas. Once the tea cooled for a moment, I took a sip. This tea is sweet and for someone that doesn’t drink a whole lot of sweet teas, it reminded me instantly of candy.
The sweetness of this tea is definitely the first notes you get followed by this amazing watermelon and lime combination. There is a subtle tartness you get here and there along with a lemony finish. I can’t really say I taste any green tea in this blend but the green tea really isn’t the start- the inclusions are.
Now, the stevia in this blend is where I think a lot of the sweetness is coming into play and for someone who isn’t a fan of stevia, sadly, this tea prepped hot was just too sweet. I wish the stevia maybe was a bit less or not even in the blend at all, because the other flavors are amazing.
Since the tea blend prepped hot just wasn’t doing it for me, I decided to try a cold brew. Cold brewed again, all those watermelon, lime, and tart flavors were fabulous, but the stevia sweetness was there too.
Overall, I absolutely dig this blend. The watermelon lime combo has always been a favorite of mine and throw in some hibiscus and pomegranate, and you have yourself an amazing treat. Throw in green tea and you have my heart! The only thing stopping me from really enjoying this tea is just the fact that I am not used to having stevia or sugar in my tea and the sweetness is a bit too much for me for an everyday drink. For that time when I’m craving something sweet, this tea will absolutely do the trick.
If you haven’t checked out The Goat Tea, I highly encourage you to do so. I’m a big fan of tea companies that pay it forward and work with charities and currently, The Goat Tea is working with The St Francis Wolf Sanctuary and have a tea blend dedicated to the cause. All proceeds from His MajesTEA Meeko will go to benefit this organization.
So even though this tea blend maybe wasn’t my absolute favorite, I’ll still enjoy this blend and am super excited to check out the rest of their offerings.

Green Rainbow from Love Some Tea. . . . .
Being summer time in the Midwest, cold brew tea is where it’s at. I love drinking cold brew all day at work. All I do is take my favorite water bottle, set it up the night before with a few scoops of tea, allow the tea to brew and viola, the next morning I have wonderful fresh cold brew tea to enjoy during the day. The other day, I thought I’d try this dandy from Love Some Tea as my daily cold brew.
Green Rainbow is a flavored passion fruit green tea that gives so much loving. When you first open the bag, you are greeted with a gorgeous fruity aroma that demands attention and cries to be cold brewed with loving care.
Cold brewed, this tea is the perfect answer to a hot summer day. With a green tea base that is light, refreshing, but full of flavor mingled gracefully with the passion fruit flavor, each sip becomes more satisfying than the last.
What really kept me drinking this tea all afternoon was the tangy almost sherbet like flavors this tea yielded. I was able to keep drinking this tea all day by just continuously adding water and ice to my water bottle.
For my first experience with Love Some Tea, I’m quite pleased with how this tea turned out as a cold brew. Not sure how I would like this tropical sherbet like tea hot brewed, but it doesn’t matter. This is one tea that may just become a staple in my tea stash during the summertime to enjoy on days when I need a cold brewed treat.

Taster’s Review:
Who wouldn’t love a Champagne & Apricot tea? The name alone sounds delicious.
I adore Kelly’s blends @Mountain Witch Tea Company. And this one is no exception. I think Mountain Witch Tea Company is one of the only companies I would blindly buy 4 oz of tea without hesitation. I adore her blends that much.
Brewed up like a traditional black tea (212F-3 min), this tea had a pretty high astringent factor. You could taste a stonefruit like flavor but the astringency was a bit overwhelming.
Where this tea sparkled and shined was when I cold brewed the tea for a few hours in the fridge. Yummy Nommy Nom! This tea as a cold brew was bright, refreshing, and down right tasty. The apricot flavor is vibrant and very distinguishable. The black tea is smooth and the astringent factor is gone. I have already been told I need to pick up more of this tea for the upcoming hot days of summer. This blend cold brew is just that good.
Do yourself a favor, take advantage of Kelly’s 3 for $24 sale on her teas. You won’t regret it!

Taster’s Review:
It is officially iced tea time! I love summer. I am a “cold” blooded person so when the weather starts getting warmer out- I love it. Even in 80-90 degree weather you’ll find me with a sweater on . I get made fun of quite a bit, but I’m told it is all in good fun.
Besides making iced tea, I’m currently addicted to cold brewing tea. Threw some tea into a pitcher and the next morning-VIOLA! you have amazing tea. What I have found is that when you cold brew a tea, you can take a tea blend that was ok or so-so to a tea that is full of flavor!
That is the case with this tea for sure. I brewed this peach flavored black tea as a traditional black tea-212F-3 min. Took a sip and to be honest, the flavor was ok. The peach flavor was nice and the black tea base mixed well, but this hot cuppa didn’t give me the “Wow” factor I was looking for. The flavors were subtle and the cuppa didn’t leave much of an impression on me.
Cold brewed this tea and wow- did my opinion on this tea completely change. This tea reminds me of fresh peaches. The cold brewing really helped draw out more of the flavor. The black tea base is slightly astringent but I liked the contrast. Sweet juicy fresh peaches. So perfect for the summer!
My only thought would be to add a touch of vanilla and this tea would be amazing! A cold brewed peach vanilla iced tea? Yes please!
