Lemon Cakes Loose Tea a GoT (Game of Thrones) inspired tea for Sansa’s love for buttery lemon cakes. Being a huge fan of GoT, I had to try it out. Plus green teas are my favorite. So this was a win win!
I was extremely excited to share this tea with my family so the last together we had family dinner, I brewed up a huge pot of this tea. The tea smelled amazing. Rich smooth lemony goodness. But unfortunately, I oversteeped the tea. Shame on me for not setting a timer. So I took the tea leaves, put them into a stick infuser, grabbed a glass of ice and proceeded to make cold brew tea.
This tea was simply decadent! Rich lush creamy lemon notes with a underlying green tea hint here and there. I couldn’t believe how very close to a lemon cake this actually tasted like. There was even a sugary feel that gave way to an icing note completing the sip. It doesn’t really get better than a tall refreshing glass of tea that reminds you of an iced lemon cake. I’m over the moon about this tea! Even if this blend wasn’t GoT inspired, I would still absolutely adore it. Just a wonderful refreshing way to pick up anyone’s day. This tea just screams sunshine and happiness!
I’m hoping this tea is still around when GoT returns next year. Especially since this next season is supposed to come out during the summer. The perfect companion to enjoy one of my favorite shows!

Blackberry Love from Dave and Solomons Tea
Green Rooibos and I have a completely different relationship than red rooibos and I. Green Rooibos is bursting with sweet honey tones where as (to me) red rooibos has a distinct unique flavor that has a medicinal quality to it. So when Blackberry Love arrived at my door, I was crazy excited. This blend had my beloved green rooibos in it along with gorgeous chunks of berries, orange peel, what looks like different kinds of flower blossoms. Unfortunately this blend is no longer on the site, but one that I hope comes back on the site.
First whiff of this freshly steeped gorgeous orange brew makes me happy. You instantly are greeted with a lovely blueberry/blackberry aroma with a sweet honey kick. I couldn’t stop smelling my cuppa.
Blackberry Love from Solomons Tea is appropriately named! This tea steeps up to become a gorgeous cuppa of sunshine. Bright bursting berry notes with a honey and slightly floral touch. I love the combination of the berries and green rooibos. The tea is light and yet very refreshing! Perfect for a sweet tooth craving during the day or to finish the day off with a relaxing cuppa.
I think with the reaming mix I have left, I’m going to have to try as a cold brew. I bet those blackberries and honey notes really soar and pop with a good solid cold brewed overnight. Can’t wait to experiment more with this blend!

Peanut Butter & Raspberry Jelly Black Tea & a 52Teas Giveaway!
Today I counted up all of the 52Teas that I could readily find in my stash. It came to over 40 pouches and 6 canisters. That doesn’t count the three mystery packs I have coming or the next month’s tea I’ll be getting in my subscription box. In other words, I will admit, I have a 52Teas addiction. But who wouldn’t? Yes, I do have a personal connection with 52Teas but even if I didn’t know the mad tea creator behind all the teas, I would still adore the blends. Every week you can count on a different unique blend that you can’t get anywhere else. So yes, I have a problem, but I think its a good one to have!
Peanut Butter & Raspberry Jelly Black Tea is one that I was crazy excited to try out but was lost in my tea stash. When I realized my error, I was quick to rectify it. I tried this brew hot first but I will say I wasn’t crazy about the results. I didn’t get that rich creamy peanut butter flavor I was hoping for. The jammy raspberry notes came across beautifully and mingled well with the black tea base. Being a peanut butter freak, I wanted to get those flavors to come through. So I experimented. . .I cold brewed the blend.
Scooped a few spoon fulls into my pitcher and allowed the tea to steep overnight. Poured myself a tall glass with fresh ice, hoping this was the answer to pulling those peanut butter notes thus ending my quest for a peanut butter tea. First sip and VIOLA! Creamy peanut butter notes swirling around raspberry jammy fun. The black tea base is slight and subtle allowing those nutty and berry flavors to really shine.
A really fabulous cold brew and a perfect example of how sometimes certain blends just need a bit of experimenting with. And now I’m happy to announce our first giveaway since we have revamped and rebranded SororiTea Sisters! Anne at 52Teas has graciously given us two amazing prizes! A three month subscription to 52Teas (valued at $52-US residents only) and a $25 gift certificate (open to anyone). Enter below! Just a small token of gratitude to all of our faithful and new readers who love tea and much as we do. Thank you for sticking with us over the years and we hope you all are just as excited with the new changes as we are. Good luck everyone!

I’ll disclose a little secret – this tea made me very nervous.
You see, I’m one of those unusual people that don’t like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I felt very much the oddball growing up – everyone else liked peanut butter and jelly. I like peanut butter. I like jelly. I just don’t like these two together. I like peanut butter and banana sandwiches. I like peanut butter and marshmallow creme sandwiches. I like peanut butter and butter toast. I even like peanut butter sandwiches. Just not jelly. And I like jelly toast and I probably would like a jelly sandwich if I were so inclined to make one although it doesn’t sound like a very satisfying sort of lunch.
So what I’m trying to say is that peanut butter and jelly just isn’t my thing. So when one of my Kickstarter backers who purchased the “Be a 52Teas tea of the week creator” incentive and selected a peanut butter and jelly tea as his tea of the week flavor – I got just a wee bit nervous and I hoped that since it’s a tea maybe, just maybe, I’ll like these flavors together.
And I do! This has a really pleasing raspberry flavor. The peanut butter is a softer note – and really, if I were to eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, I think that’s how I’d make it for myself – light on the peanut butter with a big smear of raspberry jelly! Sweet tart raspberry, a smooth, nutty peanut butter note atop a blend of Nilgiri and Assam teas. Way better than I could imagine peanut butter and jelly tasting!
Taster size is approximately 1/2 ounce.
organic ingredients: black teas, roasted & salted sunflower seeds, freeze-dried raspberries and natural flavors.

#FanaticFriday: Rose and The Doctor from Pinch of Geek
I will admit it. This tea had me at the name alone. Rose and The Doctor. And with a tea company name like Pinch of Geek, seriously-I was in love. But when the blend arrived at my door, I realized this was a earl grey tea and lavender mix- my heart sank a bit. (I’m not a huge fan of earl grey or lavender teas)
But I put on my BIG girl pants and prepped my water. A few minutes later I had a pot full of this tea ready for me to check out. I will have to say that I wasn’t instantly in love with the dry leaf aroma but I loved smelling this tea steep- there was a romantic vibe in the air.
Took a sip of this tea and my cup hasn’t touched the table since. I am drinking this tea like it is a contest! Bright romantic floral sweetness greets you first with a burst of flavor. In the middle of the sip, the earl grey says hi with a bit more subtlety and at the very end there is that familiar perfume like twist from the lavender. The earl grey and lavender are not overwhelming in the least bit. They actually add a bit of a texture to the tea and dimension. I am a bit surprised I’m even saying this but they actually heighten the tea.
Gorgeous, perfectly balanced, full bodied and beautiful flavors-this tea just keeps giving. I’m currently on my third infusion and the flavor has lessened but I’m still picking up that flavor I am crushing on.
If you are a Doctor Who fanatic (like me!), this tea fits Rose and the Doctor perfectly. Even if you are not a fan of earl greys or florals, I implore you to try this one. The blend has taken me off guard with how much I’m loving it.

Taster’s Review:
Honeybush and I have a love hate relationship. Sometimes I love it and sometimes not so much. I wasn’t sure what I would think of Harlow Tea Co’s Love Love Love blend.
First whiff of the dry leaf and I was greeted with a lush plum fragrance that I wanted to bottle into a candle. So very soft and romantic. This simple mixture yielded such an amazing full flavor, just like all of the other Harlow Tea Co blends I’ve tried.
Silky sweet notes combined with a deep plum jam note. Very soft notes of floral complete with sip with just small peeks of hibiscus. Each flavor does a great job of complimenting the others and no one flavor dominates. This tea is as romantic as you can get!
The perfect tea to end your day with. Soul soothing and one you can really curl up with. I’m in love with this blend! I haven’t had a chance to try Love Love Love as an iced tea or cold brew but that is next on the list. Another superb blend from Harlow Tea Co.
