Taster’s Review:

Orange and Papaya flavored green tea from Tea Shirt had my interest right away. I mean orange, papaya, and green tea? How could this blend be anything but amazing?

When I received the tea, I was surprised by how big the fruit chunks are in it.The picture is exactly what you get.  Huge chunks of mango, papaya, and orange peel along with apple pieces. Really lovely to look at and amazing to smell. Very rich in citrus and tropical notes.

I scooped a few heap fulls into my infuser and cold brewed this tea. With how muggy the summer has been lately, I wanted this tea to be a nice iced cold brew.

I let the tea cold brew overnight and tried it in the morning. I was hoping that those gorgeous chunks of fruit and lovely green tea leaves would produce an amazing treat for my taste buds. And it did just that!

The green tea gives a lovely buttery base that the orange and papaya flavors compliment nicely.  Each flavor takes its time in the spotlight and there isn’t one flavor that overwhelms. Simple yet lovely.  Lush Orange notes mingling with the tropical hints from the mango and papaya.  A really nice refreshing take on a citrus tropical iced tea for the summer or really for anytime!

Well done Tea Shirt!

Taster’s Review:

Wow! Teabox has some pretty impressive teas and I have to say this one is fabulous and perfect for the chaotic week or so we’ve had in my family!

This tea had such a lovely almost floral aroma to it while it steeped. I steeped the tea per the instructions on the package and have to say they resulted in one gorgeous cuppa!

I love my Darjeelings for the lovely well balanced and smooth flavors they offer. I don’t like I’ve come across one I don’t like yet. This one (like I said) had a lovely floral aroma but the flavors were full blown malty with a hint of a citrus touch here and there.  One of those whole mouth feel sort of teas that really help you ease into your evening with class.  But be warned, this tea is one that will be come astringent quite quickly and will leave you with a rather mouth drying tea if you don’t goble it up while it is freshly brewed.

Another stunning example of the wonderful teas Teabox has to offer!

Taster’s Review:

Good morning sunshine is right! This tea starts your morning off right!

This lovely tea is from the amazing Sunshine Cottage Etsy store, a store for all those flavored black tea fans out there.  Sunshine Cottage tea is a take on a tropical tea and a happy way to wake up in the morning with a bright colored tea to add to your tea spot.

I brewed this tea up with boiling water and let it steep for about 4 minutes.  Allowed it to cool for a moment and then indulged myself in the tropical citrus aroma that was delighting me.

First sip and yes! This tea is a tropical citrus tea for sure.  The citrus is almost like a juicy tangerine flavor while the tropical flavors are more subtle in the background.  There are hints of this tea becoming astringent but I’m not picking that up right away.  It is more of a lingering aftertaste from drinking the tea for a few moments.

On the package of the tea there was also a note about jasmine being in the blend and I’m sad that I’m not picking up those notes.  I can’t say what a jasmine tropical citrus tea would taste like and honestly it may not go well together but I kind of want to try it.

As the tea sits now it was a delight and one that I would have no probably making up for the family to enjoy.  I bet this would make an incredible iced tea and I have plans to try this as a cold brew to enjoy in the morning.
