I was a Girl Scout for a long time. I’m not 100% certain how long, but it was all throughout middle school. I actually really enjoyed it, but of course my favorite part of the whole experience was the cookies. How could it not be? This fabulous blend by The NecessiTEAs was made with a certain cookie in mind- Thin Mints….but with a twist: irish cream! And as we speak, I am eating some Thin Mints and sipping on my Dirty Girl Scout tea! What a combo. Y’all I am in chocolate mint heaven right now! I also think that at this moment I am the best judge of whether this tea embodied a twist on these cookies properly, and the answer to that is absolutely! The best part? It is a black tea blend, which means that not only are my taste buds happy but i’m getting caffeinated at the same time! Win/win situation for me!
This tea was not overly minty or overly chocolate. I appreciated that. The mint to chocolate ratio was definitely balanced. The flavors of cookies and irish cream really set this tea apart to other chocolate mint teas. I feel like sometimes teas that include mint end up tasting medicinal, but that was not the case with Dirty Girl Scout. Another aspect I really enjoyed about this tea was that although it was blended with a dessert cookie in mind, it was light enough on taste that it can be drunk anytime of the day and not just as a dessert. So you can technically have cookies for breakfast without the guilt! I really enjoyed this blend and I totally recommend grabbing a pack of Thin Mints to go along with it! Yum!

Chocolate Bon-Bon from Tin Roof Teas.. . . .
I didn’t know what a bon-bon was before tossing this tea into my travel bag on a trip. I sort of had an idea that it was something that pregnant people and lazy people ate. The phrase “sitting around eating bon-bons” was in my head.
Turns out bon-bons refer to chocolate-covered confections, or sweets in general. You’re welcome.
If I were pregnant, I would have to down bon-bons because I couldn’t drink black tea, this one specifically. This is a really yummy blend. It has a sweetness that stays in your mouth after you’ve swallowed. It’s got moxie. I might even describe it as “sassy.”
While I was drinking it, I drew a picture of a Cheshire Cat teacup. . . .
I think this tea would be a great accompaniment to a novel about tricky, morally ambiguous talking animals, etc. An adult sort of Alice in Wonderland meets Harry Potter, maybe like the Magicians, but with more mayhem. You should read the Magicians series, by the way. I’m not being paid by them to say that. It’d be a great reading pairing with this tea.

Natural Cacao Tea from Micacao. . . . .
The site for this tea describes cacao as a “superfood” — a fact that almost every woman on Earth innately knows. (Am I right?)
The touted health benefits of this tea include kicking caffeine addiction, weight loss, and boosting mood.
Like I care about any of that.
I just want to drink chocolate.
This is a tasty brew, sweet with a tiny smoky tinge. It has a lot of the impact of eating chocolate, with few (if any) of the calories.
Would I rather be shoveling pure candy bars into my face? Obviously. But this tea does, to a degree, help with the chocolate urge.
I was reading an article about the inevitability of food regret. If you’re trying to eat right and you eat junk food, you regret that. If eat an apple instead of a candy bar, you don’t enjoy the apple as much (regret). The crux of the article was that either way, you’re going to be slightly unhappy with your choice — so you might as well make the right choice.
In this instance, the right choice was this tea. I recommend trying it. Maybe with a little bit of sugar or honey. But I’m drinking it straight, because that’s the responsible food choice. It works that way, too.

Chocolate Eclair Tea. . . .#52Teas
My sister has never been a lover of tea. For a long time she could not understand my love of the beverage and it was only recently that she has started actually trying teas. It started with afternoon teas, at those she found a couple she liked and started to build a small stash, then I learned that she was actually drinking her teas nightly, and now she’s starting to get it. That is awesome in one respect but now she’s moving in on my teas, which I guess is fine but occasionally it means I am losing my very own mug.
For example, CuppaGeek sent me a 1-2 cup sample of this to try, however before that arrived, I ended up ordering myself a taster packet from 52 Teas. Thank goodness I did because when I brewed the sample from CuppaGeek, my sister decided to give it a try and then she decided we were “sharing” except the mug just kept moving closer and closer to her and soon this was gone and I had barely a sip. I guess you could say she was a fan.
Today she is not at our home so I knew I could actually get to drink my own cup and it is perfection. This is actually quite accurate to its namesake which is surprising since an eclair seems like a pretty complex food to capture in liquid form. Nonetheless, this is silky milk chocolate icing and creamy vanilla. The black base gives this a sturdy foundation but also imparts a breadiness that plays out as the choux pastry. The components of an eclair are all represented and they work together to create one awesome tea.
Honestly, now that I have had it a few times, I think I should have just committed to the large pack because this really is GOOD.

Atlantis Found. . .An Adagio Teas Custom Blend From Our Own TeaEqualsBliss. . . . .
My television often displays shows about Earth’s mysterious past. Ancient Aliens, Curse of Oak Island, What On Earth, Mythbusters, Finding Bigfoot, and Hunting Hitler have all graced our screen.
My husband cannot get enough of unsolved peculiarities. We’ll be eating a meal and he’ll be like “did you know that the skull fragment the KGB presented as evidence of Hitler’s death was tested? And it’s FEMALE?” or “have you ever seen pictures of the circles in South America where nothing grows — and NO ONE KNOWS WHY? THE SOIL IS FINE” or “did you know the sphinx was probably a dog, not a lion?”
So when I got a tea called “Atlantis FOUND!”, I was pretty psyched. Finally: one of those historical enigmas has been SOLVED.
CROSS ONE OFF THE LIST.
This is a very tasty chocolate-vanilla-fruit tea. It’s punchy fruit — blueberry and raspberry — in an ocean of what tastes like milk-chocolate. In summary, a very nice dessert tea.
I sometimes wish that Adagio’s default black tea had a little more oomph, but that doesn’t disrupt this tea very much because the other flavors are so strong. The meh-nature of the black tea can be canceled out somewhat by adding a little bit of vanilla almond milk (or whatever your choice of add-in might be).
I’m going to make up a batch of this and keep it in my insulated bottle as I hike through the tundra looking for the elusive Yeti. I think he’d dig it.
