Right off the bat, this tea has two things that I love: 1. a punny name (I mean, come on.) 2. powerhouse ingredients that boast all sorts of good-for-you claims!
Now, to be fair– this isn’t a tea in its traditional sense. There are no leaves, there’s not even your typical dried herbs found in most tisanes. This is a bright orange powder chock-filled with all sorts of health-assisting goodies (so the internet claims– remember, I’m no doctor!) designed to make it easy-peasy for you to whip up all sorts of healthy morning tonics. Now, while I am as much a fan of a golden milk latte (a traditional milk-based spicy turmeric drink), this blend leans a little more fruity thanks to its hibiscus, ginger, and lemon peel blended in, among other things– so maybe save your milk for another mix, this one is best with water.
After trying this concoction straight a few times, I had a moment of revelation the other day when I saw some lemonade hanging out in my fridge (what is summer if not prime Arnold-Palmer time?)– why not make this tonic lemonade-based? I added 1.5 tsp to about 10 oz. liquid and shook it like, well, you know how the song goes. While I don’t think the powder ever 100% dissolved into my liquid, a few shakes before every few sips worked perfectly to keep things blended. This was tart and spicy, but also fruity and delicious– a fantastic afternoon pick-me-up that’s good for you, to boot! I will absolutely be trying this mix in other blends to come– maybe a smoothie or two? As usual, Blend Bee knocks it out of the park!

Caramel Apple Fun from Blend Bee. . .A Custom Blend. . . .
Who else was a big Charlotte’s Web fan in their younger years? Stay with me a second– I promise I’m going somewhere with this. You know the scene in the book (and movie!) where Templeton the rat has a hay day at the fair and dances around, gluttonously digging his little rat teeth into all the leftover treats and goodies that he can get his tiny talons on? Sipping this tea turned me into a human-Templeton, you guys.
This delightful caramel apple blend is like the best day at the fair– slightly sticky-sweet, with heavily spiced apple in the background and warm, sugary caramel straight up at the front. With a bit of cream and sweet (I highly recommend condensed coconut milk and a tiny splash of maple syrup for a SUPER decadent treat), it’s sugar-magic in a cup. The allspice and cinnamon elevate things just a bit– perhaps this is Templeton’s more refined older adult relative’s fair-food-binge instead.
Regardless, whether you fancy yourself a caramel apple aficionado or a junk-food-lovin’ human embodiment of our favorite loveable trash rat, this tea needs a home in your cabinet!

Just Peachy from Blend Bee
Right off the bat I will tell you that I’m impressed with Just Peachy from Blend Bee for 2 reasons…one…the aroma…it’s wonderful and…two…because it’s a green tea and Honeybush blend that works really well!
The notable ingredients in Just Peachy from Blend Bee include not only green tea and honeybush but ginger and cinnamon which are both fairly strong – as well as – lemon peel and peach flavor. It’s flavor on the tongue is comparable to other Ginger Peach teas I have tried in the past but seemed a bit more refined in some way. Maybe it was the subtle addition of the lemon or maybe it was the sweet and green contrast of the green tea and honeybush. Whatever it was it worked!
If Just Peachy from Blend Bee is any indication of how awesome their other teas will be (or are) then I am sure to be hooked on them soon!

Taster’s Review:
I have always wanted to try Blend Bee Teas and thankfully the last box I received from Amoda Tea had Blend Bee Teas in it.
If you aren’t familiar with them, Amoda Tea is a monthly subscription service. Each month you receive a sampling of teas from one company, showcasing their teas and allowing you the chance to try teas that you might not have tried. I just love that concept. Other boxes send you a mix of different teas from different companies but the way Amoda Tea works, you get a nice sampling of what that particular company offers. Pretty great concept!
This blend from Blend Bee is an Oolong/Herbal mix that sounds amazing. All of the ingredients just sounded fantastic and the dry leaf mix smelled gorgeous. I brewed this blend up with the parameters that were on the package and took my first sip.
As gorgeous as this tea smelled, I have to be honest and say I didn’t really care for the taste. There was something off with the tea that I can’t place my finger on. I’m wondering if its the ashwagandha root. All of the other flavors mix well together and from what I can tell would make a glorious tea on their own. The are strong notes of lemon and strawberry. Those two flavors with the oolong note were heavenly.
I would love to try this tea without the ashwagandha root. Regardless, I’m still very excited to be given the change to check this tea and company out. I’m already on the website of both Amoda Tea and Blend Bee to see what looks interesting!
