This tastes spot-on like spiced apple cider. It tastes precisely like something one would buy at a farmer’s market from an Amish person. You could imagine them hand-mashing it, mulling it, and dropping in a dallop of cinnamon. Totally real ingredients, all the indulgence, with none (or almost none) of the calories.
You’d then carry your cup of this cider into a pumpkin patch, with your partner, who wants to “share” it with you. But really, s/he wants to drink 75% and not hold their own cup. Then, when it’s drunk down, you didn’t get enough (there is NEVER ENOUGH of something so tasty). AND you’re left holding an empty cup in your hand and no trash can.
In vengeance, you make them carry the pumpkin in line to the weighing station, and then make them pull the goop out of the pumpkin’s head at home while you drink wine and watch reality TV.
You insist on a “cute” pumpkin this year instead of an “elaborate” pumpkin.
You get your way. Because you gave them some of your cider (or tea that tastes like cider, in this instance), and it was the bomb.

Taster’s Review:
Apple Cider Tea from Harlow Tea Co, an Etsy store, may have just made my whole day! This tea is exactly what the doctor ordered. Harlow Tea Co is a gem of a tea shop I recently stumbled upon. They offer quite an array of hand blended teas for their customers to enjoy. I love their attitude when it comes to creating their tea blends.
“Tea should be made in small batches right? Harlow Tea Co. believes so. No machines, or heavy equipment is used to make these tea blends.” I just adore tea companies that use this motto and passion. One reason why I love 52Teas so much.
First impression of this tea, I was very happy with what I was seeing. Large chunks of apple-both candied and dried on a bed of honeybush. When I took a quick whiff of the dry leaf, this definitely had those familiar cinnamon and apple notes that you get from apple cider.
So I brewed this tea up like an herbal-boiling and steeped about 5 minutes. The end result was a lovely pale liquor that I couldn’t wait to try. I allowed the brew to cool for a few minutes and took my first sip.
Fresh juicy slightly tart apple flavor with a sweetness that really does resemble and remind you of an apple cider. The cinnamon isn’t overwhelming and really heightens the flavor nicely. The honeybush is the perfect base for this tea, allowing the other flavors to really shine while also adding a creamy note. Each sip is sweet and smooth, delivering a solid flavor.
To say I was impressed by this tea isn’t doing this tea justice. I have had about 7 infusions out of the same tea leaves today and yesterday (each day adding a minute to my steeping) and tho the blend is probably at the end, I”m still loving that apple cider flavor I’m getting.
This blend is a perfect example of an herbal tea done right!

Taster’s Review:
Since starting with the SororiTea Sisters, I have been trying to make myself try teas that I normally wouldn’t. Ginger and I have not always been friends and it is in so many teas. It limits what I have tried in the past. I think my tastes are starting to change though. I have been finding teas with ginger that I’m finding myself starting to crave. This is one of them.
I stumbled upon this company on Amazon the other day. I had never even heard of them. From what I’m learning, this company is mainly into coffee or that is the first reaction you get when you check out their home page. They have quite a nice line up of single serve coffee blends that I will probably pick up for my boyfriend (who is addicted to our Keurig).
After gandering the coffee selection a bit, I hopped over to the tea selection. Wow, they have quite a selection. It looks like they even have some award winning teas. Unfortunately a lot of these teas have red rooibos in them. So I was happy when I found the Ginger Apple Swirl that had green rooibos in it. (We seriously need a green rooibos revolution!) This instantly went into my cart.
Upon opening the package, the tea smells just like apple cider. Like the kind you get at our local orchard. I steeped up the tea per the instructions on the package but I did put in an 2 extra tsps. I knew I wanted this iced. After the tea finished steeping for 3 minutes, I dumped the tea into a big cup of ice. The smell of this tea steeping just screamed Apple Cider.
Took my first sip, yep. Apple Cider tasting as well! Very good. All of the flavors play together nicely and create the taste you would want after smelling the tea. The apple flavoring is the main flavor with the ginger following suit. A tea that tastes exactly like it smells and the name. I was very pleased. I know this is more of a fall flavor, but the flavors are so bright and crisp, I’ll be drinking this one all the time. The only down side is that it is pricey if you go through the website. Amazon seemed to have cheaper prices so I’ll have to stock up here and there when I see a sale.
After looking at the site some more, I noticed that this is a tea you are supposed to use to make a cocktail. This would be amazing made up like a martini or add in some flavored vodka.
I know what I’ll be drinking later tonight.
