I’ve been saddened by so many teas claiming to mimic a favorite food, then failing. But not here! This tea is a WINNER!
This blend, originally called “Summer Sangria” and now titled “Champagne Sangria,” is made of white tea, orange peel, blackberries, red cornflower petals, marigold petals, natural and organic flavors.
I tried this tea chilled, and found it delightful. There’s something in here that really does taste like wine. This is 100% a sangria — minus the headache!*
* Am I the only one here who takes one sip of wine, gets a headache, and falls fast asleep on someone’s couch?
What a sweet little champion. This one’s going on my wish list for this summer…
… If summer ever comes. This tea is totally rubbing it in that there are times of the year that are better.
I have no idea what Punxsutawney Phil said this year, but I’m still holding him solely responsible for this dreary Pennsylvania weather.
Here’s the scoop!

White Tropical Tea from The Spice & Tea Exchange. . .. . .
The Spice and Tea Exchange in John’s Pass Florida claims that one sip of their White Tropical Tea will transport me to a tropical oasis. Sure…it’s more of a mental journey than physically being transported…but I’ll take what ever I can get!
Organic Chinese white tea is combined with luscious chunks of pineapple and organic peach pieces to create the fruity-sweet yet relaxing aroma and flavor of White Tropical Tea from The Spice and Tea Exchange.
The White Tea is light and slightly sweet. The pineapple and peach contribute to the overall sweet, too, but the pineapple packs a delightful powery puckery punch and the peach has a natural creamy-sweetness to it, too!
The paradise-reminiscent fruits linger at the end of the sip well on to the aftertaste. White Tropical Tea from The Spice and Tea Exchange is delightfully tasty!

Pomegranate Passion White from Simpson and Vail. . . . .
I’ve been on a white tea kick lately. I couldn’t tell you what spurred white tea specifically but I certainly have one I would like to share with you today! It’s a flavored white tea and it’s from Simpson & Vail. It’s their Pomegranate Passion White Tea.
Pomegranate White Tea from Simpson & Vail is lightly sweet and incredibly delicious! It’s a blend of natural pomegranate and passion fruit flavors and it has a lovely airy, breezy tropical aroma that awakens the senses. Once infused it looks a little pinkish to the naked eye – sitting there in the cup waiting for me to take the first sip. This can be enjoyed either hot or iced. I like them equally.
Ingredients in this Pomegranate Passion White Tea are…of course…White tea…PLUS organic hibiscus flowers, marigold petals, malva flowers and natural pomegranate and natural passion fruit flavors. The ‘barely-there’ hibiscus flowers are at the ratio I wish most if not all other companies would ‘live by’. A little bit goes a long way! S&V seem to have this ratio down pat and for that I’m thankful! The floral ingredients are on the sweeter side moreso than the bitter/floral side and I’m happy about that, too! The fruity flavoring is nicely done…NOT overdone. Who ever put this tea together deserves a ‘MAJOR AWARD’ as the catch phrase from Christmas Story states!
I brewed 2 teaspoons of this loose leaf tea in 8 ounces of water (at roughly 175°), and steeped for 3 or 4 minutes. I was also able to cold brew this with success by infusing it overnight, too!
I’m totally LOVING this flavored white tea!

Raspberry Champagne from The Love Tea Company. . . . .
I recently discovered The Love Tea Company while I was online and I was instantly enthralled with them. Their website, their message, their mission, and their overall theme just struck a chord with me.
The Love Tea Company was founded with the idea that companies should give something back. Using purposeful purchasing , The Love Tea Company is doing just that. In the vein of companies like Tom’s Shoes, The Love Tea Company has built their company around supporting Mental Wellness. Part of The Love Tea Company’s mission is to donate 25% of their net profit to The Flagg Foundation for Mental Wellness, a foundation created by The Love Tea Company.
If you are interested in learning more about The Love Tea Company’s efforts to help bring awareness to Mental Wellness, keep an eye out on their social media accounts and website. Since The Love Tea Company was founded in December of 2016, it appears they are in the beginning steps for both the foundation and tea company. It will be interesting to watch them grow and get their message out. Also to see the good they do with The Flagg Foundation. Mental Wellness affects or has affected so many people in so many different ways. To see a company trying to send such a positive message through tea is amazing and one that I’m going to help as much as I personally can.
I’ve personally already placed an order to send out some of their #TeaItForward boxes to friends and family members just to brighten their days and show I care and am thinking of them. It’s a wonderful service and I hope these boxes bring a smile to the recipient’s faces.
So, now that we’ve chatted a bit about the mission behind this tea company, let’s chat about their tea. The first tea I thought I would try was their white flavored tea, Raspberry Champagne. Raspberry is a tricky flavor. Do it right and you have a wonderfully sweet yet tart and tangy flavor that sings. Do it wrong and you are left with a bland flavorless brew.
First whiff of these tea leaves and I was drooling. There was a definite jammy berry aroma with a sweetness mingled in. I was quick to get my kettle prepping my water at 195 and allowed my tea to steep for 3 minutes. I haven’t had a flavored white tea in a while so this particular tea was really calling my name. After allowing the tea to cool for a few moments, I took my first sip.
Juicy tart raspberries with a sweet finish and a soft floral touch in a cup. That is how I would describe this tea. I can’t really speak to the champagne flavor but it has been a really long time since I’ve had any champagne. This is one of those flavored white teas that actually packs quite a bit of flavor. Fresh, crisp, and on point with a gentle soft side. Just delicious.
I went for a second steeping but this go around, I allowed the tea to steep for 6 minutes. I have to say, letting the tea steep longer is the way to go . All the flavors really pop and work so well together. I made quick work of my second cup and went on to my third.
Greedily, I want to gobble all of this tea up and try what I have left of my sample of this tea in a cold brew, because I can only imagine how the flavors would pop, sing, and make my taste buds happy . . . but alas . . .I will wait to enjoy the remainder of what I have left of this tea with my dad and sister-in-law. I know they would both enjoy this tea as much as I have. . . and I think that sort of sharing experience is exactly what The Love Tea Company is going for.

I’m CooCoo for White Coco Choco Chai from Nelson’s Tea
When I’m trying to cut caffeine, but still want some chai spice, I often drink nutty rooibos chais or lemony herbal chais. Depending on the blend and my mood, these alternatives can be tasty, but sometimes I find myself wanting more. White Coco Choco Chai from Nelson’s Tea is the perfect solution.
This tea has a white tea base along with the usual suspects of chai spice: cinnamon, ginger, cardamom. But it also has the addition of allspice, black pepper, coconut and chocolate chips. There’s the same heat I know and love from black tea chais, the kick of ginger and pepper, but there’s also a creaminess from the coconut and chocolate that gives decadence and body where the black tea is absent. The white tea base is light on the caffeine and astringency, making for a spice-driven cup that’s okay to drink just about any time of day.
This tea is like an x-ray, just the white bones of a chai; spice, distilled. Even in the bag, it’s lovely to look at with big cardamom clusters, allspice pods, cinnamon bark, and the white curls of coconut shavings. The tea leaves seem so few in proportion! The smell of this blend in the bag and while brewing is strong and cozy, filling my kitchen with its spicy scent. This tea has all the comfort of a delicious baked good, livened up with the zing of allspice and pepper.
I got to taste just a few cups from a small tea sample, but I will definitely be stocking up on White Coco Choco Chai from Nelson’s Tea as soon as I can!
