I despise bananas! I mean…I REALLY hate them! I HATE Bananas! Can’t you tell I’m passionate about my dislike for bananas? Having said that – Banana Split from The NecessiTeas is pretty darn tasty!
I’m not sure if it’s just everything ELSE that went into Banana Split from The NecessiTeas but I’m totally digging it! The Rooibos base ‘almost’ tasted like honeybush and I have to be honest I did a double take of the dry ingredients just to be sure! Once Banana Split from The NecessiTeas cooled at room temperature I noticed the traditional red rooibos flavor more but at the beginning of the piping hot cuppa it tasted a bit different.
As for the other ingredients in Banana Split from The NecessiTeas there are freeze dried banana, carob, and strawberries. I will say that I tasted the strawberry more than the other two ingredients and I’m completely fine with that. I think it kicked the banana back a notch and for that I’m grateful. Then I could taste the carob and that was rather nice. Lastly, the banana came into play. This was a satisfying cup. Banana Split from The NecessiTeas was a sweet, fruity, chocolaty, and near creamy cup, too! For someone who REALLY can’t stand bananas this was darn tasty! The banana ratio was one I could certainly tolerate and darn I say ‘enjoy’.

Red Mango From Thea’s English Standard Tea
I love Amazon. I buy groceries and household staples all the time. But I rarely check out their tea offerings until the other day when I stumbled upon Thea’s English Standard Tea.
Thea’s English Standard Tea offers a few different varieties of bottled tea-all natural with zero calories. I love the idea of having a crisp iced tea at my disposable. I’ve never been a fan of other bottle iced teas you can get at the store so I was hoping this would be something special.
Red Mango is a vibrant brew with purified water, brewed rooibos and black tea, mango flavor, hibiscus, and other natural flavors and citric acid. Yes. This has red rooibos in it and I tried it. And what was my verdict?
This tea is delicious! Crisp clean with just a little bit of that red rooibos aftertaste. I am not a fan of red rooibos and have gone so far as calling the herb my arch enemy. But in this tea you really don’t notice it very much. What you really notice are the rich mango and black tea flavors with a tartness hint here and there. There is a definite tropical vibe coming from this bottle. Not overpowering but the perfect amount of flavor.
Tastes freshly brewed and there are no hints of any diet like flavors or sweeteners. A perfect iced tea that is perfectly portable. I enjoyed mine with my lunch of fruit and veggies and loved how the flavors all coordinated. From the logo to the packaging, I just adore this iced tea and can’t wait to check out their other flavors. I’m looking at you White Blueberry!

Orange Detox Tea from Teavery
Orange Detox Tea from Teavery is another herbal/tisane detox tea that we were sent for review consideration here at Sororitea Sisters. I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised at some of the newer herbals coming along the pike!
I was impressed with the diverse ingredients in this tisane. Orange Detox Tea from Teavery has Alfalfa, Dandelion, Orange Peel, Plantain, Red Clover, Peppermint, Nettles, Rooibos, and Orange flavor.
When it comes to the ingredients I have some notes, findings, and opinions I would like to share. Most of these herbs I would consider to be superfoods or super herbs! I have had some really great experiences with them individually-speaking. Of course I am not a doctor, am not offering advice, and am not making any medical claims, here, just sharing my own experiences along the way!
Alfalfa sprouts I enjoyed as a child. Believe it or not it was one of my 3 favorite foods growing up. I know – I know…I was a weird kid! Between that and Red Clover I have sprouted both with success over the years and have enjoy them in various ways! I used to have allergies to Dandelions when I was a teen but have since grown out of that – thankfully. I really enjoy the herbal, sprouty, citrusy, and floral notes in this tisane! When it comes to the Plantains I have to say it offers a sweet and slightly creamy texture to the sip. It’s funny because I HATE Bananas but I seem to like Plantains! The Rooibos also contributes to the hint of sweetness – I’m sure! The Orange flavor and peel really kick this one out of the park in terms of flavor. And Nettles are said to be one of the best things you can consume but I have a hard time incorporating them in my daily life so this herbal tisane was perfect in that regard! And I think you already know my stances and LOVE of peppermint!
I think the reason I am enjoying this cuppa is not only for the taste but for all of the ‘good stuff’ in it that seemed to mesh well with everything else in the cup! Orange Detox Tea from Teavery is another herbal and Rooibos blend I will be putting in my GOOD PILE.

Passion Peach Tea from Teavery
Our Thoughts:
Passion Peach Tea from Teavery surely SMELLED peachy and even TASTED peachy…but…I was surprised to learn that this loose leaf contained orange peel AND elderberry which I think were both nice additions. I think I can taste the orange peel as much as the peach flavor. It gives it a bitterness to even out the sweetness. There is a bit of rooibos in this mix, too, which helps with the sweetness as well. Oh yes! This has Passion Fruit flavor in there, too! This mixture of ingredients seemed to be well thought out and wasn’t just your run-of-the-mill peach flavored tea and for that I’m grateful!
As I continue to sip this Passion Peach Tea from Teavery I find myself really concentrating on the black tea base (that is blended with the rooibos, that is). With everything going on in this flavored tea I can still taste the black tea, thankfully. The black tea is strong and has a deep crusty taste to it. There are a lot of flavors in this cup and it’s almost like a wheel of flavor spinning around and around in your mouth. I’m really LOVING the layers of flavor in Passion Peach Tea from Teavery.

Taster’s Review:
Let’s start this review off with talking about how gorgeous this blend is. I love the pops of bright colors. Just makes the tea blend so warm and inviting. The aroma I get from the dry leaf is the same. Sweet and alluring. From the beginning, I’ve got high hopes for this tea.
Brewed this tea up like an herbal- 5 minutes at 212F and just let the aroma take me away. This tea reminds me of summer. Summer pool parties and the beach. The melon fragrance is very prominent, giving you that summer feel. After the five minutes was up, I took my first sip.
This tea has such a lovely melon flavor. Melon in tea is hard to accomplish but they’ve done it with this blend. This reminds me more of a cross between watermelon and honey dew. Almost like the fruit you would see at a pool party. That is exactly what this tea tastes like. A huge bowl of fresh cantaloupe, watermelon, and honey dew. The pomegranate flavor is there but it is more in the background giving a slight tart contrast. The green rooibos is giving the tea an extra tang of sweetness while the yerba mate is bringing it back down with a grassy finish. This tea would be a phenomenal iced tea in the summer months or if you need to brighten up your day, this tea would definitely do it.
This may not be a tea I could see drinking everyday but I think this would be a great tea to serve at a party or over ice with some fresh berries in it while relaxing outside. Such a tasty treat!
