Well, friends, the plague has hit our home. It feels like we’ve been sick for a thousand years, but it’s probably closer to three weeks. After having no taste for tea (WHO AM I) for the first two weeks, and drowning my coughing sorrows in all the throat coat tea in the tri-city area, I was finally feeling like branching out. This herbal blend from Yerba Buena was everything I was craving.
While all three of these particular herbals have a tendency to be overpowering, in this blend, they work PERFECTLY. Maybe it’s the softer, sweeter spearmint, or the gentle hint of lavender and ginger in the background, this cuppa is just as appropriate for an omg-get-me-some-sick-day tea variety as it would be for a bedtime wind-down. Mmm. Just the ticket.

Turmeric Lemon Ginger from Yerba Buena Tea Co. . . . .
I try to incorporate turmeric in my diet everyday for all of the amazing health benefits, so I was so happy to try this tea. And in my opinion ginger makes everything better so I had a feeling I would love this blend.
The first thing I noticed is the beautiful yellow color right away. They aren’t shy with the turmeric. As soon as i poured the hot water over the tea, I got the most wonderful smell. I could smell the lemon and the ginger and it was very soothing. This blend also has lemongrass and whole black peppercorns which are two of my favorite ingredients in tea.
This is an herbal blend, so no caffeine, but yet i still felt energized and uplifted from it.It also has licorice root which I don’t always love in teas, but luckily for me I couldn’t really taste it. Everything balanced out, and it just tastes like a lovely cup of lemon ginger tea with a little something extra.
I usually start my day with a caffeinated tea like green or yerba mate, but yesterday I started my day with this, and i didn’t feel like I needed caffeine at all! As someone who has relied on caffeine for MANY years, that is quite the feat!
Turmeric is so good for the body it’s nice to have it in such a delicious and uplifting way. This is definitely one of my new favorite teas, and I can’t recommend it enough!

I feel like I’m suck in an episode of PeeWee Herman’s Playhouse and the Word of the Day is “Turmeric” with all of the Turmeric type teas I have been reviewing lately! But that’s ok because I’m one of Turmeric’s biggest fans! Today I introduce to you Turmeric Lemon Ginger from Yerba Bueno Tea Co.
Organic Turmeric Root, Organic Lemongrass, Organic Ginger Root, Organic Lemon Peel, Organic Licorice Root, Organic Black Pepper are the official ingredients in this herbal tisane.
I could see, smell, and taste each of those ingredients! Pretty impressive if you ask me! I’m not sure why but the trio of Turmeric, Lemon, and Ginger always seem to work well! I was a bit nervous of the Licorice in this but it ended up being tasty along side the others and the peppery kick worked nicely, too!

Tummy Mint from Yerba Buena Tea Co.. . . . .
Some teas and tisanes I drink for a very specific reason. Today I would like to share with you TWO reasons I decided to reach for Tummy Mint from Yerba Buena Tea Co.
It was the middle of the week and I went out for lunch with ‘the boss’ and ‘the owner’ and I had a large salad with various nuts, seeds, fruits, and veggies on it. The dressing I chose was a potent balsamic. It was tasty when I was gnawing on it but it left gurgles later. I went back to the office and decided to try Tummy Mint from Yerba Buena Tea Co for the first time. GOOD CHOICE.
Tummy Mint from Yerba Buena Tea Co not only calmed my gurgles it freshened my breath. It was the perfect combination of peppermint, marshmallow root, chamomile, ginger, and fennel. It was minty – sure – but it also had a slightly sweet, subtle creaminess, and hint of licorice type taste to it. It seemed as tho all of the ingredients were evenly distributed throughout the sip. Not sure how they did it – but they did! Nothing was too overpowering. Tummy Mint from Yerba Buena Tea Co was my friend that day!

Tummy Mint from Yerba Buena Tea Co. . . An Herbal Tea To The Rescue!
With the holidays right around the corner, I don’t know about you all, but I always find myself just not able to say no to my mom’s awesome treats, cookies, and delights. I always seem to indulge without even realizing it. But I’ve got myself a secret weapon this year. . .
(Read in an Announcer Style Voice) TaDa! Tummy Mint from Yerba Buena Tea Co. One of the first herbal teas that contain ginger and fennel that CuppaGeek actually enjoys and drinks on a daily basis. Yes, you can rest assured that this blend will have your tummy feeling better in no time with amazing organic ingredients like peppermint, marshmallow root, chamomile flowers, ginger root, and fennel. One sip and a few hours later, you’ll be back at that dessert table again!
Ok that’s out of my system now.
This herbal tea is honestly one of the first herbal teas that I find myself constantly grabbing again, and again, and again. All of those flavors really create this wonderfully delicate yet refreshing flavor that my taste buds crave. I don’t grab for herbals very often or even ones that have a mix of ginger, fennel, and peppermint, but this one is absolutely brilliant.
You can pick up each flavor but they are all balanced with care and not one flavor overwhelms the other. I always find that ginger can become really overwhelming (fennel too) but in this blend I don’t feel that is an issue at all. I find myself even adding a scoop of this tea to my straight teas in the mornings just to add a boost to what I’m drinking. I’m sort of addicted to the peppermint and marshmallow root combo so adding that to any tea just makes me happy.
I will say with 100% honesty and this is in no way me saying this tea works, but after drinking this tea, I do feel better. I have a very slow and irritating digestive system where I get stomach pains from a lot of the foods I eat. I’m not saying that after drinking this my pain has gone away but I have noticed that my bloating isn’t as bad, which is a constant irritant. Can’t say the same will happen for you but I just wanted to give my two cents.
Highly recommend this herbal to anyone. Try it even if you aren’t a ginger fan. You’ll see what I mean when I say this blend is crafted and created with care.
