This is a tea shop I would love to visit in person someday! The website promises that new visitors to the shop are greeted with a curtsy and a twirl, and I could really use that kind of enthusiasm right now!
Ginger Peach Snowcone is a blend of White Monkey Chinese tea, sunflower blossom, and natural flavors.
It has only been two days since I bemoaned to a friend that almost all peach teas add ginger, which is fine in small amounts but too hot for this gal in any significant amounts unless I add lots of sweetener. I really love straight peach flavor or peach and vanilla.
Sniffing the dry blend, I detected no ginger and figured I was home free. Sniffing the steeped tea I detected no ginger. Sipping the tea…no ginger.
Now, this is really great in my book, but if you were looking for a punch of ginger you won’t be happy.
The funny thing, even the peach is incredibly light and what I taste is the white monkey base, a nice dose of floral taste from the sunflower, and the lightest hint of peach, making this a truly delicate and refreshing blend. I tried it hot and unsweetened and as an iced sweet tea.
What is this reminding me of? Come on, think!
I’ve got it!
Suddenly the scent transported me back to my childhood, going to the beauty shop with my mother every Saturday morning, and smelling the sweet smells of all the shampoos and hairsprays and colognes. Something there smelled just like this tea and it just makes me feel so girly that I want to put on some cute low pumps, a sweet skirt, a little pearl necklace, and paint my nails pink.
Thanks for a lovely trip down memory lane! If I ever get to visit T by Daniel, I will return the curtsy and twirl!

The Famous Lion Chai /T by Daniel . . . .
Instant tea mixes have always intrigued me. More or less for the convenience factor. In the mornings, I am rushed. Even waking up early doesn’t seem to help me get everything done, in place, everybody out the door- with there still time to always be able to make a proper cuppa. Especially anything I might want to add a touch of frothed milk or creamer too.
So when The Famous Lion Chai from T by Daniel came my way, I was pretty excited to check the concoction out. Without even looking at the ingredients, I added 2 tablespoons of the mix into my frother, added the recommended 8 ounces of milk, hit the button to froth/mix up and away I went finishing up making lunches and making sure homework was in book bags.
A few moments later I heard the ding indicated the tea was ready, poured the mix into my tea cup, and away I went. After taking my first sip though, I noticed a flavor hanging out in the background that made me wish I would have checked the ingredients. Hazelnut. I know I know. The majority of the world loves hazelnut, but sadly I am not one of them. And after taking a few more sips, the resounding flavor I was getting was split between caramel and hazelnut.
Now the good thing about these flavors being so pronounced and in the spotlight-there really isn’t a harsh artificial flavor that I’ve gotten when trying mixes like this one in the past. For me personally, the best part of this blend is this honeyed cinnamon flavor you can catch here and there. Really light and sweet with just a hint of a spiced kick.
Overall, well played T by Daniel! Even though I’m not 100% in love with this mix, I know my kiddo would love and eagerly gulp away. And I would have no problem serving this to him in the mornings instead of the soda he seems to grab. I’m sad to say this just isn’t a blend for me.

Rated R/T By Daniel. . . .
As a tea addict I go through periods where I am obsessed with certain types of tea. My current obsession has been raspberry flavored teas. So, in my typical tea addict fashion, I have been scouring all of the tea companies I could think of looking for raspberry teas. This brought me to T by Daniel. I have heard great things of the company and the teas for some time now but when I saw that they had a raspberry tea named Rated R, called that as it is “rated R for raspberry content,” I knew that I it was time to give the company a try. T by Daniel is a Canadian company however shipping to the Midwest was very fast. I love that they included a handwritten thank you note to personally thank me for my purchase. I really appreciated this little touch.
I ordered several tea varieties but Rated R was the tea that really prompted my order. Lets begin with the smell. This tea has such a bright and robust raspberry smell. It reminds me of those little gumdrop raspberry candies. Not only does the tea smell amazing but the dry tea is very pretty. It has a black tea base with white coconut flakes, large white gumdrops, red raspberries and pink rose petals peeking out. Also, the flavorings added are all natural. This is very remarkable to me to have such a strong raspberry smell with all natural flavors
I steeped this tea up at 212 degrees for 3 minutes. It has a very smooth and enjoyable black tea base that hits the tongue first followed by a lovely natural raspberry flavor on the back side of the taste. The raspberry flavor does not get lost in the black tea taste, rather it compliments it very nicely. The coconut adds a touch of creaminess to the blend to round it out. I am very pleased with this tea, it has become my “gold standard” of raspberry teas.
I have now tried several teas from T by Daniel and have to say I am very excited by what I have tried. They have a cool, hip vibe to their company that I love and the owners, a husband and wife team, are very engaging. I really think that they are up and coming and I look forward to more great teas from them!

Ginger Peach Snowcone from T by Daniel. . . .
Ginger and peach are both popular tea flavors. Two flavors that can also be quite hit or miss. Here the two are paired on a white tea, something that can also be hit or miss. Ginger Peach Snowcone by T by Daniel is a hit.
Normally when it comes to tea with ginger, I always want a ginger burn. This tea has no burn but I think that is for the best. It is like a mix of fuzzy peaches sprinkled with some ginger flavor. A little sweet and slightly spiced. The best of both worlds to keep things in check. Both flavors come through while also being harmoniously blended and that’s what makes this tea great. It’s also what makes this ginger great even without the burn. The white tea is a bit roasty to compliment the other flavors.
T by Daniel is a Canadian company that has been around for as long as I have been drinking tea. They have a cute gimmick, displaying all their teas on their site in cute bow ties to compliment the bow ties they also sell online. They have some interesting blends and so far the ones I have tried have been enjoyable. One day soon I will probably crack and place an order with them, if for no other reason than I will want more of this tea.
