Fruity meets dessert meets caffeine free. Helloooo!
Growing up, my aunt used to make a lemon cake topped with blueberries & homemade whipped cream, so when I saw this tea I HADTOHAVEITRIGHTNOW. I brewed it for 5 minutes in boiled water and waited a few minutes to begin drinking it.
I like this tea. Upon first glance, you can see tiny blueberries and cute cornflowers amidst the barky-ness of the rooibos. I was able to taste all three named flavors in addition to the rooibos, although I will say they felt a bit unbalanced. Lemon in general can be such a strong flavor, so a little goes a long way. It was certainly the most prominent flavor, followed by the sweetness of the blueberry and coziness of the vanilla cake.
A few tablespoons of milk transformed my cup from a mellow lemon flavor to a well-rounded dessert tea. It was perfect for a late afternoon tea break that felt indulgent but didn’t break the calorie bank. I’ll certainly check out more of Curiositea’s other blends, as I really like the creativity of this one!

Honeybear Chai Green Tea from Curiositea. . . . .
I know I keep saying how much I love Chai tea, and it seems like every new Chai I try becomes if not my favorite, one of my favorites! But this Chai seriously blew me away. It’s a loose leaf tea, so I added it to my little tea ball and let it steep. I first noticed this was going to be something special when I was emptying my infuser. It smelled like freshly baked cookies! I wanted to eat the leaves! I added a tiny bit of coconut sugar and a splash of coconut milk and seriously had one of the best cups of Chai ever.
It has the normal Chai spices like cinnamon, clove and ginger, but it also has the addition of salted caramel flavoring! It tastes like dessert in a cup! The flavors all work so well together! The salted caramel doesn’t really stand out on it’s own, it’s more of a delicious sweet flavor that makes you wonder what it is! It tastes like a cookie, but I can’t quite put my finger on what kind of cookie, but it’s a cookie you want to eat over and over.
I can definitely say hands down this is the BEST Chai tea I have ever tried. When I took my first sip, I said Oh my, delicious out loud, to myself. My cats looked at me like what the heck. It’s that good!! If I weren’t watching my caffeine intake I would be drinking this all day! It’s really like a sweet hug in a cup. I just cannot say enough good things about this amazing tea!!

Blueberry Lemon Cake from Curiositea. . . . .
When I was in high school, I worked part-time as a barista at Starbucks. Besides the sweet street cred it afforded me (helloooo, frappucino hookups for all my fellow teen friends), there were tons of perks for 16-year-old Mary to enjoy. We’d spend quiet evenings inventing new drinks and sampling pastries for our customers– and by customers, I clearly meant my coworkers & me. (Wait, I mean…)
By far, my favorite thing to sample was the iced lemon poundcake. Dense and sweet, with tart and sticky lemon glaze– mmmm. I can still taste how delicious it was, particularly at 10:30 on a school night as you’re closing up shop. This rooibos blend from Curiositea brings back those same sweet lemon-pound cake-memories from back in the day.
The dry leaf is beautiful, with bright blue cornflowers intermingling with the rooibos. Scented strongly of lemon and red rooibos, this tea brewed up into a fairly strong cup for an herbal. And brewed, it’s tasty! Sweet berry undertones come out a little bit more, along with a light note of pastry to round out the tart lemon. While the red rooibos is a little more noticeable than I’d like, it’s not overwhelming or medicinal in the least. And bonus! I’m pretty this a cup of this has about four thousand calories less than my beloved lemon poundcake from days gone by. Mmmm. Tasty!

Top of the (Blueberry Lemon) Muffin to You! A Curiositea Blend
Blueberry Lemon Rooibos from Curiositea makes me think of muffins– top of the muffin to you!
The nutty rooibos paired with these fruit flavors remind me of blueberry muffins with lemon peel, or a delectable lemon poppyseed cake. The lemon of this blend is more creamy than tart, and comes through slightly stronger than the blueberry.
There is a darker sweetness in the undertones of this brew that keeps the lemon from getting too sharp, and I must credit this flavor to the blueberries.
When iced, the flavor combination in this blend could pass for blueberry lemonade rooibos. There is a perfect balance between deep, sweet blueberries and bright, citrus lemon.
The flavors help keep this blend super smooth and drinkable, even for a rooibos base. This is a versatile herbal tea and has quickly become a staple in my decaf selections.
