Guangxi Golden Pearls from Tea Shirt. . . Rolled Tea Pearls!

So far the teas I have had from Tea Shirt have been tasty and I am eager to try more so today I am reviewing Guangxi Golden Pearls from Tea Shirt. I have really liked other Golden Pearl teas I have had from other companies and this one is just as good.

Guangxi Golden Pearls from Tea Shirt is made up of black tea leaves that is hand rolled into little ‘balls’ or ‘pearls’ as the product description says on their website. Dry – Guangxi Golden Pearls from Tea Shirt – smells a bit like chocolate and fruit. Once infused – Guangxi Golden Pearls from Tea Shirt has a stand-alone fruity aroma, naturally!

The flavor on the tongue is a medium to medium-strong black tea with natural fruity notes. What kind of fruit? One sip I lean more towards a berry flavor and another sip I think it’s more like a stone fruit flavor…like a plum. I can’t quite put my finger on it (or should I say my tongue?) Guangxi Golden Pearls from Tea Shirt has a subtle chocolaty pop to it in the middle of the sip as well. This is pretty tasty, indeed! Guangxi Golden Pearls from Tea Shirt is a winner in my book!

Perfect for Valentine’s Day! Heart Tea Goodness from Cup of Love Tea. . . .

I’ve been on a kick with flavored Lapsang Souchong’s as of late. Not sure WHY but I am. I can’t say as I have ever been on a flavored Lapsang Souchong (specifically) kick before. So this time around I want to share Heart Tea Goodness from Cup of Love Tea with you.

Cup of Love Tea is a subsidiary of Vampyre Tea Company so I was pretty darn excited to try it! Heart Tea Goodness from Cup of Love Tea contains Lapsang Souchong Black Tea, Cinnamon, Apple, Orange Peel, Hibiscus, and Coconut Tea & Pieces.

Dry – the aroma was more faint than I was expecting but once infused everything seemed to come to life! I could smell the Lapsang, the Cinnamon, and the Orange up front with hints of Apple floating in the background. The coconut was hard to pick up with the ‘old sniffer’ but it looked lovely in the dry mix! Heart Tea Goodness from Cup of Love Tea smells quite unique which makes me REALLY want to sip on it and FAST!

I listened to what my cuppa was telling me and I took a sip of this intriguing Heart Tea Goodness from Cup of Love Tea. The flavor of the Lapsang Souchong was in full force but the Apple flavors seemed to be right along side of it acting as a faithful sidekick. I could taste the cinnamon on the end sip and on into the aftertaste. Follow-up sips revealed the orange flavors which were juicy and delicious!

What was really interesting with this tea is that when it naturally cooled at room temperature for a bit I was able to taste some more fruit notes but they seemed to pop out more and become more juicy. Most notably the citrus! THEN…it seemed to end on a subtly sweet and creamy note – possibly due to the coconut slivers! I’m TOTALLY digging this Heart Tea Goodness from Cup of Love Tea!

Ever Been Curious about Steeped Tea? Matcha Green Tea from Steeped Tea

Matcha Green Tea from Steeped Tea is straight-up matcha! That’s right…Green Tea Powder…as many of you already know!

There really isn’t a LOT to say about Matcha Green Tea from Steeped Tea but I will certainly try. It’s a more mellow tasting matcha that is for sure. It’s smooth, too! The natural creaminess is nice! Matcha Green Tea from Steeped Tea smells like green beans and tastes like green beans.

I guess one of the reasons I like straight-up matchas and like to spend some time with them is to see how they are alike but also differ. I’ve had some vegetal matchas before. Some that have tasted like specific vegetables such as peas, artichokes, various leafy greens, even, but Matcha Green Tea from Steeped Tea is a fine example of a straight forward green bean flavor found in a stand alone matcha!

This was nice hot or cold. It was an easy cup to drink! The matcha dissolved nicely in the hot water! A great starter matcha for sure!

Turmeric Lemon Ginger from Yerba Bueno Tea Co. . . . .

I feel like I’m suck in an episode of PeeWee Herman’s Playhouse and the Word of the Day is “Turmeric” with all of the Turmeric type teas I have been reviewing lately! But that’s ok because I’m one of Turmeric’s biggest fans! Today I introduce to you Turmeric Lemon Ginger from Yerba Bueno Tea Co.

Organic Turmeric Root, Organic Lemongrass, Organic Ginger Root, Organic Lemon Peel, Organic Licorice Root, Organic Black Pepper are the official ingredients in this herbal tisane.

I could see, smell, and taste each of those ingredients! Pretty impressive if you ask me! I’m not sure why but the trio of Turmeric, Lemon, and Ginger always seem to work well! I was a bit nervous of the Licorice in this but it ended up being tasty along side the others and the peppery kick worked nicely, too!

Spiced Chai from LucidiTea Co. . . An Earthy Chai to Try!

Spiced Chai from LucidiTea Co was a tea and a tea company I discovered while attending the Erie VegFest in late September. They were one of the vendors at the festival and for that I am VERY grateful! I ended up buying 3 of their teas and this was one of them.

This chai is a great starter chai because the spices are not overly intense like some others I have tried. Don’t get me wrong I like both Chai’s…the ones that are more mellow and the ones that are intense. There is just a time and a place for everything and this time around I was looking for something on the quieter side. Enter Spiced Chai from LucidiTea Co. I really appreciate that they used a Darjeeling as the base for this chai. The vanilla seemed to smooth out the ending, too!

Spiced Chai from LucidiTea Co makes my mouth happy! It’s comforting and warm but not over the top spicy. Great for a fall day – or any day – really!
