Butter Truffle from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co . . . . .

Butter Truffle from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co HAD ME at first sniff! It smells like cookies, or cake, or coffee cake, or something cakey and bakey…darn it…now I want something dessert-like. Since I don’t eat those often (or close to {n}ever) I will sip on Butter Truffle from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co, instead.

This flavored black tea is INCREDIBLY aromatic! It’s savory and spicy, too! The orange is juicy and I welcome it. The spices are done nicely and NOT overly done. The pistachios are what make it ‘buttery’ and even smooths out the end of the sip to finish a little creamy. Sure – this has nuts in it – but it doesn’t have dairy in it and for that I am grateful!

I don’t eat baked goods hardly ever because of the dairy and eggs in them and I am NOT a baker myself so when I crave something like that I tend to reach for a flavored tea that would fit the bill instead. Butter Truffle from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co is one of those teas! YUM!

Nichole and I try and share everything with our other sisters here at Sororitea Sisters and Butter Truffle from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co will be one of those teas that will be hard to pry from my hands! I will pass this one along – of course – but with a tear in my eye as I say goodbye!

Yunnan Black from The Little Red Cup Tea Co. . . . .

It’s been a while since I have tried a tea from The Little Red Cup Tea Co. and today I thought I would share their Yunnan Black with you!

Their Yunnan Black comes from Lincang which is just a stone’s throw from Burma and home to some of the oldest cultivated tea in the world – according to The Little Red Cup Tea Co. website and product description. The Yunnan Black Tea we are reviewing today is hand picked and tightly rolled but not rolled into balls or pearls but more of a rolled pressed leaf of sorts. The golden tipped leaves produce a deep amber hue in the cup and give off light scented notes of raisins, cocoa, and honey.

As for the taste…it’s delightful!

Not only in the aroma but in the taste I could pick up on the natural raisin flavors and cocoa powder – especially if brewed dark – double the loose leaf at half the time. When double brewed I found this to be pretty hefty. It was a stronger Yunnan Black and I really liked it. I also brewed as suggested and found it just as tasty but not as brassy or brashy as the double brewed. Both attempted were successful and made me an instant fan!

Taiwan Beipu Oolong Tea – Oriental Beauty – Competition Grade from Cameron Tea

Taiwan Beipu Oolong Tea – Oriental Beauty – Competition Grade from Cameron Tea is also known as Dong Fang Mei Ren, White Tip Oolong, or even Bai Hao Oolong, to some. The cultivar of Taiwan Beipu Oolong Tea – Oriental Beauty – Competition Grade from Cameron Tea is Chin Shin Dah Pan. It has a medium level of fermentation, too!

I really loved the bi or tri colored winding leaves. Taiwan Beipu Oolong Tea – Oriental Beauty – Competition Grade from Cameron Tea has a slightly herbal and floral aroma once infused. It brews fairly dark for this type of oolong, too! The flavor is delicate, a sweeter floral flavor, and even a tad like honey towards the end of the sip. Taiwan Beipu Oolong Tea – Oriental Beauty – Competition Grade from Cameron Tea has an incredible natural flavor. It seems hard to over infuse or interrupt. As the tea cools naturally at room temperature I could pick up on subtle nutty notes and it seems to have a creamy yet refreshing aftertaste, too! I REALLY like this! WAY TO GO Taiwan Beipu Oolong Tea – Oriental Beauty – Competition Grade from Cameron Tea!

Signature Tea from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co. . . . A Take on Earl Grey

When a brand has a signature product it HAS TO BE GOOD, right? Well, Signature Tea from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co is superb! This was the tea Kent & Sussex created for the Grand Hotel Brighton! They say it’s a fresh and vibrant take on Earl Grey! And I would have to agree! If you are someone who isn’t sure about Earl Grey because of the POW-in-your-face EG flavoring then you will have to check this offering out! WHY? Because it’s so much more than just a stereo-typical Earl!

Signature Tea from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co is a medium strength and medium caffeinated tea but it’s actually made up of black tea from several different regions including Tinsukia, Assam, India. Darjeeling, India. Keemun, Anhui, and China.

The citrus offers a wondrous plumpy orange flavor that I seem to crave more of while drinking. There are your nods to Earl but it’s not as strong as some other Earls tend to be and with the blend of flavors it all works swimmingly! I can totally see and taste why Kent & Sussex calls this their Signature Tea! I can’t say I have anything comparable! Signature Tea from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co is a memorable cuppa!
