I have a tea that has recently stumped me. But it has stumped me in the most tasty way! The tea I am referring to it Saba from Tay Tea
Upon opening the sample bag I was pleasantly surprised with the aroma but also confused at the same time. This must be some sort of secret recipe or mystical tea magic. What ever it is I have to say I LOVE it! There was a slight fruit aroma with a naturally airy musk to it, too! It was sweet-floral meets Bubble Yum Bubble Gum almost.
After infusing for a few moments the aroma was fruity, creamy, green, floral, and something reminiscent of grenadine almost. Saba from Tay Tea is one of those flavored greens that make you think with each sip. I had to read the description on the companies website. What I was smelling was…sweet floral fragrances and a lichee-infused green tea blended with jasmine blossoms.
Where did this tea get its name? It’s named for a morning breeze! Fascinating! Beautiful! Peaceful! Lovely! I really like this tea! It’s more than just a flavored green tea…it’s a full tea experience. It’s like a perfect weather day with the top down. It’s a refreshing walk in the woods or roll around in a perfectly bloomed meadow on a spring day! This is a pure delight! I’m thankful for the opportunity to try it!

Yunnan “Purple Beauty” Green Tea from Lancang Spring 2016 from Yunnan Sourcing. . .
I think it’s time to highlight a Yunnan Green Tea on Sororitea Sisters. It’s been a while. Therefore, I declare, Yunnan “Purple Beauty” Green Tea from Lancang Spring 2016 from Yunnan Sourcing – the tea of the moment!
Yunnan “Purple Beauty” Green Tea from Lancang Spring 2016 from Yunnan Sourcing certainly IS unique! This is a Zi Juan “Purple Beauty” varietal that was grown in Lancang county in the Jingmai mountainous area. First flush of spring tea leaves were used and processed into a green tea. This is the first ever Purple Beauty Green Tea Yunnan Sourcing has offered.
This infuses to grey-purple color and the brewed leaves remain dark even after many infusions. It’s soup-like, brothy. It’s vegetal. I can pick up on seaweed and/or mushroom-like undertones while sipping on this. It has a nice sweet and bitter yin and yang going on, too! Yunnan Sourcing says the taste of this tea is Dan Cong meets Yunnan Assamica Green Tea.
I have to say that Yunnan “Purple Beauty” Green Tea from Lancang Spring 2016 from Yunnan Sourcing is unlike anything I have ever sipped on! It’s pretty fantastic! I’m sure it will appear on at least one of my TOP LISTS to be released soon! Be on the look out!

Sour Apple Green from Stylin’ Tea Blends. . . . .
YUM! Can I just start off by saying…YUM!? Well, there! I ‘done..did it’! Sour Apple Green from Stylin’ Tea Blends is MORE than brilliantly done! It’s a MUST on my flavored green teas of the moment list! Here’s why…
Sour Apple Green from Stylin’ Tea Blends – as you can guess – is a sour apple flavored green tea! It’s made up of Green Tea, Apple Pieces, Lemon Pieces, Safflower Petals, and Sunflower Petals. It’s gorgeously colorful to look at dry and smells wonderful. The aroma gets even stronger and juicier once infused!
Yummy, juicy, sweet apple paired with citrus, tart, and puckery lemon do a nice tie-in with the medium-strength yet sweeter tasting green tea base. The floral ingredients I assumed were more for show actually did contribute a bit of floral flavor that was noticeable on the end sip and after taste.
I’m not going to hide it – I absolutely LOVE this tea! You can’t go wrong with a hot or a cold cup of Sour Apple Green from Stylin’ Tea Blends. But here’s another way to enjoy it…Sour Apple Green Vodka!
Sour Apple Green Vodka Recipe
INGREDIENTS: 7 tsp Sour Apple Green tea leaves; 1 750-ml bottle Vodka
PREPARATION: Place 7 tsp of Sour Apple Green tea leaves in large jar. Pour entire bottle of vodka over tea leaves and stir. Infuse for 4 to 6 hours, stirring occasionally. After infusion, strain the liquid back into the vodka bottle.
This totally makes sense to me, tho! I remember in my college days having Sour Apple Pucker. This tea reminds me of it! That takes me back!
So no matter which way you slice it – Sour Apple Green from Stylin’ Tea Blends – is going to be a fun and flavorful adventure in a cup! ENJOY Responsibly!

Sacrd SynchroniciTEA from Cup of Love. . . .
Sacred SynchroniciTEA from Cup of Love is a lovely blend of black tea and green tea for the base with added flower petals and vanilla. The black tea is actually flavored with the vanilla, specifically, and according to their website.
I sometimes have a hard time with floral flavored teas because I find that they ‘get stale’ quicker or ‘tend to turn bitter’ easier than others. With Sacred SynchroniciTEA from Cup of Love that is NOT the case. This flavored black and green blend is done nicely. It’s fresh, flavorful, floral, and creamy. It’s a tad sweet, too! The vanilla really takes it to the next level!
I also find that it can be difficult to accomplish an even flavor profile when blending black tea and green tea. Cup of Love – was once again – able to do this successfully! I could taste both the black tea and the green tea, evenly. Neither was over powering the other. It made for a solid, blended base. When you taste the floral and vanilla flavors they work in harmony with the base – and again are not too overpowering. I really like the flavor and appreciate the quality of Sacred SynchroniciTEA from Cup of Love.

Minty Green Organic Tea from Care Tea. . . . .
For those of you who know me – or have read some of my reviews here already – you know I’m a MINT FREAK – so when I saw a single minty fresh green tea yet to be tried in my stash I gladly opened and inhaled the minty greatness!
Organic Green Tea and Organic Mint are the only two ingredients in this cup! The classic case of LESS is MORE. And just because this is in a bag doesn’t mean the flavor isn’t powerful because it was! The tea I’m referring to is Minty Green Organic Tea from Care Tea.
Care Tea describes it as a fresh kiss of peppermint meets a pure crisp green, with the feel of a mountaintop escape in spring. Dramatic. I like it. Descriptive. I crave it. It ended up being delightfully refreshing. It made me crave more.
I don’t know which I enjoyed more…the hot cup taste test or the cold cup taste test. They were equally as good.
Care Tea’s words to live by are…Care for your health, Care for your soul, Care for your world, Perspective in a cup. This tea was uplifting in every way and was a great way to start my day! Ahhhhh!
