Gingerbread Tea from Sunshine Cottage…oh…how I love thee!
I’ve had a lot of Gingerbread Teas the last 10 years or so. I have to say this one from Sunshine Cottage went the extra mile. I seemed to stand out over many others. Specifically because of the SWEET notes! Sure…when you drink a Gingerbread Tea you are probably looking for the gingerbread likeness and this tea DID have that but it had a little extra something, too!
I kept picking up on a lovely, mellow, sweetness. All I could think of is sweet cinnamon. And sure enough…Gingerbread Tea from Sunshine Cottage HAS sweet cinnamon in it! YAY!
Spicy ginger, sweet cinnamon, and fragrant star anise bring a depth to this gingerbread tea that is nothing short of joyful! A delightful holiday tea that will bring to mind the wonderful aromas of Christmas cookies and seasonal delights…this is what the product description on their Etsy shop had to say about this tea. I don’t know if I could say it any better!
The ginger was fairly subtle but still a part of the overall flavor profile. I wouldn’t change the ratio of ginger – I think it was perfect! The Anise was another well thought out ingredient that wasn’t overdone. But there was something about that sweet cinnamon that I couldn’t forget! The blend of flavored lingered very nicely on the tongue and well on to the after taste.
This was a delicious tea sipping experience that I will cherish long after the loose leaf is gone and the review written! Highly recommended!

Darjeeling Red Thunder Black – Gopaldhara Estate from Conundrum Tea. . . .
Darjeeling Red Thunder Black – Gopaldhara Estate from Conundrum Tea is the first tea I have tried from this company! And I sure hope it isn’t my last! Darjeeling Red Thunder Black – Gopaldhara Estate no longer appears on the company website or shop but it certainly was a GOODY!
It was an autumn flush, black tea, from Darjeeling, India. It’s been said that Autumns in Darjeeling tend to be cold and the temperatures can reach freezing levels. This causes the leaves to wither and ferment before they are even picked. Having the tea leaves processed by nature produces some very interesting tastes…according to our friends at Steepster’s Product Description…which usually comes straight from the horses mouth.
Darjeeling Red Thunder Black – Gopaldhara Estate from Conundrum Tea is bold with sweet, fruity, floral notes. The first steep was quite intense but it smooths out with the follow-up infusions. The brewed tea has a gold color and a wet-woodsy smell to it.
You know how I adore learning about all of the various tea estates and this one was no exception. The Gopaldhara Tea Estate has been owned by the Saria family since the 1950’s. Their land ranges in elevation from 5,000 feet to 7,000 feet. This gives them one of the highest elevation tea farms in Darjeeling and they are very proud of this fact. They are constantly developing their teas to come up with unique and different tastes which makes their teas stand out from the rest of the Darjeeling teas. After sipping on Darjeeling Red Thunder Black – Gopaldhara Estate from Conundrum Tea I’m certain they accomplished that with this tea. It’s completely tasty and satisfying with no additional flavorings…just straight up black tea, here, folks! And it’s a darling of a Darjeeling!

Turmeric Blend from Storehouse Teas. . . . .
You may have already done the math and came to the conclusion that there are at least a few of us who are CRAZY for Turmeric here at the SororiTea Sisters and I for one can be found in that mix of CRAZIES! And I’m darn proud of it!
If you are looking to incorporate more Turmeric into your daily routine or if you are just looking for herbal tisanes – overall – this Turmeric Blend from Storehouse Teas – is for you!
Organic Turmeric, Organic cinnamon, Organic orange peel, Organic ginger, Organic black pepper are the only ingredients and the only ingredients NEEDED might I add!
The orange peels is what gives in an extra sweet-citrus punch and rise above some of the other Turmeric Blends I have tried from other companies. I’m wondering if my husband would like this in Orange Juice? Just might have to try that!
This – by itself – is pretty incredible in its own right. It’s spicy, it’s juicy, it’s peppery. It gets you up and on your toes! That’s for sure! Two thumbs up!

Basil Lemonade Oolong from Pekoe Sip House. . . . .
Words cannot express my LOVE for this incredible wonder of a flavored Oolong. The tea I’m referring to is Basil Lemonade Oolong from Pekeo Sip House and it’s absolutely AMAZING!
It’s rare that I find a flavored Oolong that I adore so much I LONG for my next cup but Basil Lemonade Oolong is that Oolong!
It’s composed of half-fermented Chinese oolong tea, basil, lemon granules, natural lemon oil, marigold blossoms. Sure I find ALL of those ingredients but the secret weapon is the lemon granules! For some reason these lemon granules were like crack to me. They were SO ADDICTING and worked SO VERY WELL in this tea!
It’s light and refreshing. It’s almost creamy with a lemon-sugar twist to it, too! Pekeo Sip House’s Basil Lemonade Oolong tea is made with half-fermented tea that blends beautifully with basil, lemon granules, natural lemon oil, and marigold blossoms. Everything works in this loose leaf blend. Everything!

Chamraj Estate Handmade Tea from Full Leaf Tea Company. . . . .
Chamraj Estate Handmade Tea from Full Leaf Tea Company was a tea I recently sipped on and I wanted to tell you a bit about it and my experience.
I infused the somewhat longish dark leaves for a few moments and took a sip. I noticed right away how pure and impressive this Oolong was! I was OVERLY pleased about that from the start as I was starting to get into an Oolong funk lately. This one broke down the walls!
It’s a wonderful award winning Oolong tea from Nigiri, India. I appreciated the silky smooth texture along side the amazing flavor which gave off a light nutty finish. It was fresh, crisp, and tasty!
Chamraj Tea Estate is set among rolling hills covered in dense vegetation and natural forest inter sprinkled with small villages at an elevation of over 6,500 feet.
