Irish Blend From Simpson and Vail. . . .

It doesn’t have to be St. Partrick’s Day for you to enjoy this tea from S&V! Yup! We’re talking (blogging) about Irish Blend from Simpson & Vail!

Irish Blend from Simpson and Vail is one of Mr. Vail’s 15 original tea blends. So you know it has to be good, right!? I mean it has stood the test of time! A fantastic go-to after all of these years!

It’s a blend of Indian teas, mixed with a dash of our Earl Grey blend, that brews to a bright copper cup. The taste is full-bodied and robust with flowery notes.

I always enjoy blended based teas. A true journey of having more than one tea as a base to keep you guessing! The dash of EG they are referring to is fairly subtle and again something that keeps you guessing. You know it’s there but at the same time the flavor keeps haunting you – but in a good way – of course!

It’s a well-rounded tea and pretty robust which I adore! The flowery notes are more on the aftertaste and I’m ok with that. This tea is a real gem for any time of day and any time of year!

Chai Du Kerala from Nunshen. . . .

Chai Du Kerala from Nunshen. Come over here and snuggle up with me – won’t you? This is the first tea I have ever had from Nunshen. I have to say I’m quite giddy over that fact.

This chai is ideal for the afternoon and/or evening and is of medium strength. This was harvested in China. All of that was listed on the product description of their website.

Love, healing, and happiness go hand in hand as you sip on this unique blend. Hints of citrus and earthy tones will recover peace of mind and restore your well-being was also listed under the description of this tea on the company website and I tend to agree!

I looked up Kerala and Google said that the region has been a prominent spice exporter since 3000BC. Kerala is historically known as Keralam and is an Indian state in South India on the Malabar Coast. So with a name like Chai Du Kerala this tea HAS to be good, right? YUP! It is! Don’t you worry your pretty lil head! It’s a winner!

It’s a completely satisfying chai – indeed! All of the chai flavors from the spices are represented. It’s not weak but it’s not over-the-top strong either. I’m overjoyed with this tea and can’t wait to try another tea from Nunshen! YAY!

Sencha Mint from The Cozy Leaf. . .A Hand Blended Tea

You can’t go wrong with a smooth & full Sencha green tea with refreshing & invigorating peppermint…can you? I don’t think so! It’s been a while since I had a nice Sencha Minty Tea! This Sencha Mint from The Cozy Leaf is what’s in my cup as of late! And it’s putting a smile on my face!

It’s an artisan loose leaf tea that is organic and hand blended! It’s the tea trifecta, folks!

The Sencha itself is smooth yet full. It’s fresh and really stands up to any of the better and best Sencha’s I’ve tried. Pair that with a gentle mint and we have a REAL WINNER!

Because I’m a HUGE mint fan I would welcome more of a punch you in the face type of mint here but I also appreciate a more gentle mint from time to time, too! Just as people don’t always scream – sometimes they whisper…tea’s don’t always have to smack you in the face…sometimes they give you a gentle hug and are comfort in a cup, right!?

Yum! This is one for the books! And one I hope stays in my personal stash for a while because I will truly miss it when it’s gone!

Robust Offering from BRUU Tea Club. . . . .

There are some teas from specific tea companies that have been on my own personal WISH LIST for EVER it seems. Teas from Bruu Tea Club are among those teas. Recently I was FINALLY able to sip on China Keemun from BRUU Tea Club and I have to say that it was worth the wait!

The flavor was on the stronger side of medium with notes of smoke and roasted nuts, even. It was even a bit floral at times – fading in and out – gently but elegantly, too! The aftertaste was a bit more smoky that the sip was but it lingered nicely. I’m not saying that it was a smoky tea like an Lapsang Souchong but there were nods of smoke that made it pretty unique.

The aroma, the taste, the darkness in the cup post-infusion all have the glorious trio of traits I look for in a stright-up, stand-up, and stand-alone black tea. I can’t wait to try other teas from BRUU.

Here’s the scoop!
