Earl Grey blends can be a little bit bitter/sour. The bergamot sometimes comes on a bit strong. That’s why you see a lot of Earl Grey Cream blends (or people say it’s perfect with milk). Putting in the strawberry is a great solution to the problem. Boom! Sweetness! Plus a little bit MORE zest!
For this tea, Earl channeled his feminine side by adding a bit of strawberry. His strawberry garden is heavily fortified to keep the bunnies out — but the bunnies keep digging.
On one side, you have Earl, adding in traps and building layer after layer of elaborate, Tim-Burton-style wraught-iron fences.
On the other, you have the bunnies, each charmingly spotted and plump. Some of them probably wear hats. They have charts of where Earl’s improvements will be built, and a bunch of Rube Goldstein-style workarounds.
This premise should be a claymation film.
I’d watch it.
So would you.
Unfortunately, this tea is currently sold out at David’s Tea. But I imagine it’ll come back. I’ve seen this tea in their selection several times. Golden Osmanthus from Perkse Coffee & Tea. . . .
This tea packs a wallop. Despite being a honey-and-flower blend, it has a sturdy, spunky edge. Its sweetness is balanced with just enough deep vegetal counterpoint to make you think “hey, this is a treat, and it might ALSO be good for me.”
IS it good for you? I googled it, and I found out that oolong tea benefits “are doubled because of the combined qualities of black tea and green tea.” Which is great, because oolong is my legit all-time favorite. Sometimes it tastes green. Sometimes it tastes black. It’s a whimsical, shape-shifting Loki of a tea.
This one in particular is more green in texture, flavor, and vibe, but that sturdy base is reminiscent of a black. Green ones are sometimes wispy. This one doesn’t fall into that trap.
If you’re a person that enjoys blends, I think this would be a great oolong intro. It has that much flavor.
I shall take this tea’s optimistic vibe with me on my trip today — I’m going to Disney World! DRIVING THERE. It’s sixteen hours. Oh MANNNNN. TEA GIVE ME STRENGTH.

Arabian Nights from Fox Tea Club. . . .
It’s black. It’s green. It’s creamy. It’s buttery. It’s fruity. It’s got complete roses in its blend.
This tea sounds like an indecisive hot mess, I know. The blend’s ingredients sound like someone had a bunch of leftovers and upended them into a vat. (They include, for reference, Black Tea, Calendula, Cornflower, Green Tea, Mango, Pineapple, Rose).
But it totally works. It’s sweet and friendly and flowery. I’m not getting “Arabian Nights” from this (possibly because I’ve never had Turkish delight). I’m getting “Mother Goose.” This tea is a fairytale jumble. All of your favorite stories and flavors, blending together. It’s a dessert potluck. *
* (note: Have you ever had a dessert potluck? Probably the best party I ever threw.)
If you’re in the mood for some sweetness, throw this in your kettle. All the rabbits and sprites in the forest will be clamoring to join you.

Glazed Lemon Loaf from Tazo Tea. . .
Every time I enter a grocery store, I find myself tossing a mixture of tea and newfangled flavored Oreos* into my cart.
*Apple pie flavor: EFFECTIVE.
For this reason, my husband prefers to grocery shop alone.
However, I have NO SHOPPING REGRETS, GUYS. This blend tastes JUST like the Starbucks lemon cake. It is lemon swimming in sugary icing sweetness. It tastes like calories. The word “divine” comes to mind.

San Lin Xi Oolong from Harney & Sons. . . .
This tea tastes like eating a bouquet of nectar-y flowers. I have not, for the record, done this, but it’s how I imagine the experience might be, if you were so inclined. It’s light, lively, vegetal, and easy.

I feel like being a bee would be wonderful. A life spent in the sunshine, with a clear, tasty plan — find flowers; collect yummy pollen. Have a fluffy face. Hang out in Taiwan (whence this tea originates) with your friends in a hive. Hexagons are very hot in interior decoration right now.
Since I am not a bee (uuuuuuugh), I’ll have to savor this flavor instead.
