Taster’s Review:
This hardly seems like the right time of year to be sipping on a strawberry tea as it is something that simply SCREAMS summertime to me, but it IS a nice way to enjoy a taste of summer without actually experiencing the warmer weather (and to be perfectly honest, I prefer the cooler weather – it makes hot tea all that more enjoyable).
This is a well-blended strawberry green tea. It is extremely well-balanced, with the green tea flavor only slightly edging out the strawberry taste. That is to say, it’s a little more green tea than it is strawberry. But, I think that it should be like that, since this is a tea!
The green tea tastes lush and fresh! It is only lightly grassy, but not in a bitter-tasting grassy sort of way. Just lightly vegetal with a soft buttery taste. There isn’t a lot of mouthfeel to this tea, but what little there is feels pleasant to the palate. It finishes with a hint of astringency and a very nice sweet berry taste.
The strawberry is (as I’ve already mentioned) sweet and delicious. It reminds me very much of the taste that I experience when I bite into a ripe, juicy berry. No real tartness here either – just plump, delicious strawberry taste. YUM!
This tea would be fabulous iced! It’s definitely a tea that you should stock up on for the summertime – it’s bound to be an iced tea favorite! I’m finding it to be equally as tasty as a hot tea, so keep it on hand all year ’round! You won’t be disappointed!
