Ginger Peach Snowcone/T by Daniel -Ashmanra-

This is a tea shop I would love to visit in person someday! The website promises that new visitors to the shop are greeted with a curtsy and a twirl, and I could really use that kind of enthusiasm right now!

Ginger Peach Snowcone is a blend of White Monkey Chinese tea, sunflower blossom, and natural flavors.

It has only been two days since I bemoaned to a friend that almost all peach teas add ginger, which is fine in small amounts but too hot for this gal in any significant amounts unless I add lots of sweetener. I really love straight peach flavor or peach and vanilla.

Sniffing the dry blend, I detected no ginger and figured I was home free. Sniffing the steeped tea I detected no ginger. Sipping the tea…no ginger.

Now, this is really great in my book, but if you were looking for a punch of ginger you won’t be happy.

The funny thing, even the peach is incredibly light and what I taste is the white monkey base, a nice dose of floral taste from the sunflower, and the lightest hint of peach, making this a truly delicate and refreshing blend. I tried it hot and unsweetened and as an iced sweet tea.

What is this reminding me of? Come on, think!

I’ve got it!

Suddenly the scent transported me back to my childhood, going to the beauty shop with my mother every Saturday morning, and smelling the sweet smells of all the shampoos and hairsprays and colognes. Something there smelled just like this tea and it just makes me feel so girly that I want to put on some cute low pumps, a sweet skirt, a little pearl necklace, and paint my nails pink.

Thanks for a lovely trip down memory lane! If I ever get to visit T by Daniel, I will return the curtsy and twirl!

White Peach Iced Tea from Story of My Tea. . . .

Story of My Tea has been one company that has peaked my interest several times.  Between their social campaigns and reading the thoughts of fellow tea bloggers, Story of My Tea appears to be one that we should take note of.

Especially with their new iced tea offerings.

I’m one of those tea drinkers who is extremely picky about their peach tea flavorings.  It seems that artificial peach flavors are a dime a dozen, but teas that have that fresh crisp peach tea are ones that you have to search for. So to say I was skeptical of Story of My Tea’s White Peach Iced Tea is a fair statement.

Since there are a few of us at the office who adore iced tea, I thought I’d share and brew up a pitcher for all to enjoy.  Story of My Tea’s White Peach Iced Tea is already in a convenient tea bag that is perfect for just throwing in a pitcher, fill the pitcher with cold water, and you are all set.  Refrigerate for a few hours and you are greeted with iced tea.

I poured a few glasses full and delivered the tea to my co-workers.  The feedback I received was pretty unanimous.  This was the best peach tea that had ever had.  Smooth, sweet, with a delicious peach undertone that was fresh and perfect for the upcoming summer months.  I took my first sip and I have to agree with them.

This iced tea is one of the better ones I’ve had.  Overall, the flavors were crisp, fresh, and full of peachy goodness. Lush, silky, juicy peach notes swirl and mingle in every sip.  White Peach Iced Tea is one that demands attention in a very subtle way.  And since this tea is packed in an iced tea bag that you can keep adding in fresh cold water to keep the brew going all day.

If you are looking for a great tea to share, I highly recommend this one.  It is a crowd pleaser for sure!  In just a few days, the Kickstarter Campaign for this iced tea and the rest of the iced tea collection will be going live.  I have a feeling I’ll be supporting this one!

Dragon’s Palm Tree from Adagio Teas. . .A Signature Blend

What a light, sweet, darling delight of a tea! This white/peach/strawberry/apricot delight is the tea equivalent of that coral color all the cool kids are wearing these days. Almost pastel, but with that punch of color.

Every time I sip it, I’m a little surprised. I feel like I’m getting POW!ed in the face by a cartoon character. Like those old Batman onomatopoeia typographic masterpieces:

Robin would be like “Holy unexpected flavor blast, Batman! This dragon tea is fierce!” And Batman would say, “not NOW, Robin! Get the Bat Shark Repellent!” Robin would say, “Will that work on dragons?” Batman would say, “It’s all we have in the Bat-Copter, Boy Wonder!” And you would say, “Bat Shark Repellent?” And I would say, “It literally happened. You need to watch the 1960s movie again.”

And you would say, “You’ve talked about Batman a LOT on Sororitea sisters.” And I would say, “I’ve tried many bright, vivid, cartoon-like teas. And they’re delicious. Get on board.”

Sweet, fruity teas really are great. Give this one a go!

Taster’s Review:

It has been a rough day so I wanted something soothing. Something warm, something soothing, something that made you just want to cozy up with a book and escape for a while. So I brewed up this tea. Everything about it screamed good for the soul.

If you aren’t familiar with The Jasmine Pearl, take a moment and check them out. I have liked just about every tea I’ve tried from them and these teas are memorable.

The dry leaf mix of this tea had such a lovely subtle smooth sweet yet slightly floral note to them.  I was hoping this flavor would translate into the flavor.

And wow! Did it ever! This tea is simply amazing! A light refreshing soul soothing tea with distinct white tea notes, a sweet vanilla pillow enveloping a citrus note that is reminiscent of a stone fruit. I would say either peach but I get apricot notes as well.  This tea is soft and loving. Really really really good! I bet this tea would make a dynamite iced tea or a cold brew. Something I hope to be able to try in the future.

Another highly recommended tea from The Jasmine Pearl. I have a feeling I will need 2 oz of this tea fast! I’m off to snuggle up with my book and enjoy the rest of the evening!
