Eden Oolong from Tocha Teas. . . . .

The first thing I noticed upon inspection of this blend was the rose petals, they stuck out to me first. For whatever reason whenever I see rose petals, I think “relaxation”. The flavor and scent of rose always invokes relaxation for me. Upon looking at the list of ingredients provided by the company Tocha Teas, I noticed that this blend included jasmine as well! So yes, this is going to be a relaxing blend! Jasmine is always a soothing scent and flavor. I would say that my initial assumption was correct! This blend is one that you would be served Read More

RoRose Garden Puerh from . . Tocha Tea

Rose Garden Puerh Tea from Tocha Teas comes in breathable pouch. Through the pouch you see dark brown leaves, rose petals and a couple rose leaves. It smells similar to a black tea with a slight floral scent. The taste is a lot similar to a black tea with a dark jammy flavor. There is also a slight spice kick, with an even slighter floral taste to finish each sip. I really enjoyed this tea. I really enjoy black tea and this is the second floral like  rose tea I have tried that I enjoy. It is definitely nice and Read More

Green Defense from Tocha Teas. . . . .

Although I’ve been going caffeine free for the most part, I had trouble sleeping last night so I need a little boost today. I decided to try this Green defense tea which is a Jasmine green tea with chrysanthemum leaves. If you’re not a fan of floral teas, this definitely isn’t for you. My whole room smells like flowers and I love it! I was just noticing the other day that Daffodils are starting to sprout up, and spring feels like it’s just around the corner so this tea feels perfect to help celebrate. When you take a sip, you Read More

Green Defense from Tocha Tea. . . . . .

Every time I look at this tea’s name — “Green Defense” — I automatically change it in my mind to “Green Defense Against The Dark Arts.” You know, a tea that Harry Potter would drink to fortify himself against mind attacks from Voldemort. Tocha Tea’s site says that this tea “stimulates your senses while supporting overall wellness.” The description is unclear about the use of the word “defense.” Is it a defense against… sickness? Sadness? Malaise? ENNUI?* * (“Ennui” is a favorite word in my very nerdy family. It’s a French term that means “existential dread” and/or “boredom with one’s Read More

Morning Pick-Me-Up from Tocha Teas

Good morning, Sisters and Friends! Today I’m trying a tea called “Morning Pick-Me-Up,” which is a thing I very sorely need. I had a misadventure this morning involving getting a bag of dog poop on my house’s roof, plus it’s pouring cats, canines, elephants, giraffes, and squirrels. I was good until the squirrels. My jacket isn’t rainproof. I also slept through my morning workout. To sum it up: you have NO IDEA how a Pick-Me-Up is required. ONE CANNOT FATHOM THIS DAY. And it’s only 11 a.m. This tea is super-interesting, combining a deep, smoky tea with floral elements. The Read More
