London Tea from New English Teas. . . .

I know you aren’t supposed to judge a book by its cover but I have to confess that sometimes I try a tea based on the tin or packaging. All-in-All this really doesn’t have any sway on the outcome of what I think of the tea inside but I have to say clever and colorful packaging grabs my eye!

This London Tea from New English Teas did just that. The tin is lovely! It’s a deep red with 3 different faces of authority (for lack of better words) on the sides. They are in full uniform, too. On the 4th side of the tin you can read about the location of the tea company.

This is a standard black tea that I’m sure is what they use for many of their bases but it’s bold and dark and just about everything you look for in a hearty morning tea or afternoon pick-me-up. This could very well please the masses!

And I’m not going to lie…I’m going to keep and prominently display the decorative tin!

Product Review: Red Hair Girl Walking a Dog on Orange Damask Tea Tin from Tea & Tins

Here at Sororitea Sisters we are trying to do more and more product reviews. That is reviews of tea-themed or tea-related products and/or items that tea fans might be interested that aren’t just tea to sip on. Today I’m sharing with you…a Product Review: Red Hair Girl Walking a Dog on Orange Damask Tea Tin.

This is a fun and youthful tea tin with a French twist that is perfect for storing your loose leaf tea and/or just displaying in your kitchen, craft room, workplace, or to take with you on the go!

This tin can hold about 2 oz (60g) of a typical green tea, a little bit more of black tea and less for white tea. The Tea Tin Measurements are Height: 4” (102 mm). Diameter: 2.5” (62 mm).

As you can see the design is a light yellow-orange color Damask pattern with a Anime character walking her dog on the face of the tin. Whether the character is walking, jogging, running, skipping, or shuffling thru the Autumn Leaves that is up to you and your imagination.

I LOVED this tin and the design on it because I enjoy throw back trendy Anime characters similar to Sailor Moon. I also chose this as one of my favorite designs because of the reddish hair the girl has here. It reminds me of a shade of red I dyed my hair years ago! That – and you can’t go wrong with cute little puppies, eh!?

I will cherish this tea tins for years to come but will also show it off on my desk at work, too!

Creme de la creme from Tea & Tins. . . .

The creaminess in this tea is much more prominent than other milk oolong I’ve had in the past. It smells on the verge of that artificial milk flavor, but I have hopes that it won’t taste that way! Once this tea has steeped, a fruitier, peachier note joins the creamy scent. I’m really looking forward to tasting this one now!

Sipping.. I notice that this tea has a heavy mouthfeel despite there being no additions. I really like that it has a thickness as I feel that it contributes well to the creamy flavors. Besides the soft milky beginning, I notice a little bit of peaches as well. It actually reminds me of those sweet, syrupy peaches that you can get in little plastic tubs. The finish is leafy and a little bit vegetal. What’s interesting is that these flavors are rather subtle and I feel like if I gulped this cup down, I wouldn’t notice them.

I definitely enjoyed this oolong and would purchase this in the future. If you’re looking to try a milk oolong, I’d suggest this one. It’s got a lovely balance of creamy and fruity flavors.

Tasters Review:
Continuing our celebration of TEA being highlighted on Oprah’s Favorite Things this past week – I decided to share one of the gift sets I received a while back available for only $25 at Talbott Teas!  It’s the Indulgence Premium Gourmet Tea Gift Set and I just LOVE it!
The first reason I adore this gift set option is because you can choose which one of the 14 Talbott Teas you include in your gift set.  Another reason I like it is because of the simple yet attractive box it comes in.  You also get 6 honey straws, 1 tea filter wallet, and a stainless steel gourmet tea scoop in this gift set from Talbott Teas!  All of this for just $25.  Any tea lover would be thankful to receive this as a gift this holiday season or any time of the year!
With that in mind I would like to say Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate!
Another Talbott Tea Review that was posted on SororiTEA Sisters this week was the Blissful Blueberry and since the holiday season is officially here – this being Thanksgiving and all – I thought I would share an idea I saw on the Talbott Teas Website!  TeaTini’s!
