DeTox from Magic Tea Fit. . . . .

After a capital-D Decadent holiday season and a weeklong vacation recently, my body has been feeling CASHED. While I don’t buy into this whole detox tea trend, I do think that my body feels the difference between drinking another cup of peppermint-sugar-coated-chocolate-sugarplum-chocolate sugar tea (mmmm, the holidays) and an herbal blend with some anti-inflammatory herbs. This tea smells strongly of cinnamon and licorice and tastes the same. I can’t detect any of the red rooibos here, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. There’s a hint of hibiscus, a touch of ginger– really, this tea is kind of a mish-mash Read More

Homestead Peach from Winterwoods Tea, part of Amoda’s Tea Box #VeganMoFo2016

Today’s prompt for Vegan MoFo 2016 is Multi-color. And with today’s tea, I think that fits perfectly. This tea is just gorgeous with all of the different color pop.  Truly a multi color tea if I have to say so myself! The tea of the moment here at Sororitea Sisters is Homestead Peach by Winterwoods Tea which was part of our Amoda Box. Homestead Peach by Winterwoods Tea is an herbal blend consisting of (mostly) organic ingredients…strawberry leaf, dried peaches, hibiscus, lemon peel, orange peel, rose hips, and peach extract. I was surprised at the more laid-back, mellow aroma that Read More

Pomegranate Passion White Tea from Simpson and Vail

Whenever I try out a Simpson & Vail blend, I know that I’m in for a treat. With the last days of summer upon us, I wanted to try Pomegranate Passion White Tea as an iced tea. Scooped a few heap fulls into my pitcher, poured in fresh cold water, and a cup full of ice. Placed the pitcher into the fridge and allowed the tea to cold brew overnight. It was fun to see all of the gorgeous colors swirling around in the pitcher while it steeped. The pops of yellow and purple made this tea just holler “Summertime!” The Read More

Coconut Decadence from BELEAVE Teas

Good day, tea-ple! (Like “people,” but with “tea”? Can we make this catch on?) Today I’m going to chat you up about Coconut Decadence by BeLEAVE Teas. The word “Decadent” can mean “luxuriously self-indulgent.” It can also mean “characterized by or reflecting a state of moral or cultural decline.” I imagine that BeLEAVE was shooting for the first meaning. I don’t think that this tea is a commentary on contemporary politics. OR IS IT? (It’s not. It’s so totally not.) Linguistics aside, this tea really is resplendently, lusciously decadent. This tea has a unique texture that I’m not sure I’ve Read More
