Aphrodite from Fox Tea Club. . .

I am a green tea kinda gal.  Green teas just give me all the feels.  So when Fox Tea Club’s samples arrived and I saw Aphrodite-a green and white tea blend- in this adorable and let me repeat ADORABLE canister with a wax seal- I immediately prepped up my tea pot.   (Sorry for the dull picture.  It was a cloudy day.)

First whiff of the tea yielded a fresh floral sweet aroma.  My husband said the tea smelled like purple.

Brewed with water prepped at 190F and allowed to steep for three minutes and cooled for an additional three minutes, this tea just had such an alluring and inviting call to me.

Aphrodite is a mix of green tea, white tea, jasmine flowers, and lemon zest with a few other ingredients.  And those flavors work so brilliantly together.  First sip in and you are greeted with this sweet lemon tone with a gorgeous contrasting vegetal feel.  With this being a white and green tea blend, the green tea notes could have really overpowered the delicate white touches, but that isn’t the case at all. Each sip of this tea blend was just as satisfying as the last and I found myself prepping pot after pot of this tea. Each infusion was enjoyed as much as the last.

So very well balanced and well done and a tea that I am going to have to get more of.

Bianca from The NecessiTeas. . . . .

I’m long overdue for reviewing a flavored white tea so I figured today was as good as a day as any! Bianca from The Necessiteas is a flavored white tea sure to impress! I know it impressed me!

With lovely white tea flavored with lemon peel, lemongrass, lavender, marigold petals, natural and organic flavors it was hard to go wrong with this choice in flavored white teas

It was slightly sweet, creamy, floral, and citrusy upfront and lingered nicely, to boot! Because of its low caffeine it makes for a satisfying cup almost any time of day!

Bianca from the Necessiteas is YUMMY hot or cold, equally, in my opinion.

I doubt I would change anything about this tea. But if you are feeling a little squirrelly you could add a hint of mint to change it up without compromising the overall flavor of this tea. It’s not needed but adding mint is never a bad thing in my book!

This is a tea I could easily drink nearly each and every day!

Tea Description:

Since it’s the week of my youngest daughter’s birthday, I decided I should create a tea inspired by her.  Two of her favorite fruit flavors (especially fruit tea flavors) are Lemon and Blueberry.  And she has felt a special love for cotton candy ever since she portrayed “cotton candy” in her ballet company’s rendition of Hansel & Gretel.  So I put those three flavors together with her favorite tea base – white tea – and came up with this “fabulous” blend.

Now, lemon, blueberry and cotton candy may seem a little weird, but, it actually tastes quite FABULOUS!

Taster’s Review:

This tea from the start was absolutely gorgeous! I adored the huge chunks of fruit and the gorgeous presentation of the tea overall.  The pops of color really gave this tea a vibrant overall take.  Just lovely!

Brewed this up at work and was excited to treat myself to a tea that had any kind of connection to cotton candy. I mean c’mon. Cotton Candy is amazing! With that in mind, I couldn’t wait for this tea to finish steeping so I could take my first taste.

Took my first sip and I was sad to say that I didn’t get bulled over and wowed with lemon or blueberry flavors.  They were present and delicious but it was like something was missing. So I cold brewed this tea.

Cold brewing sometimes can really pull out flavors that you would never expect from a tea. I cold brewed this tea overnight and my goodness, this tea was simply one of the best cold brewed teas I have ever have.  Delicious all the way around. Beautiful lemon notes with a vibrant blueberry undertone.  The white tea base laid a nice groundwork of subtly sweet and lightly floral like notes.  Heaven in a glass.  I added in some fresh lemon slices and a few blueberries . . . can’t get much better than that.  It looks like there is still some of this sweet lovin’ tea on the site . . . If you want some of this amazing lemon blueberry white tea. . .you should probably check it out soon before I do!
